Description
The comic hijinks of Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg, and Ted Danson -- three carefree bachelors turned doting dads -- delighted audiences in the #1 box office smash THREE MEN AND A BABY! Now this handsome threesome is back in the critically acclaimed and equally charming sequel! The hilarity soars to new heights as the trio continues to bring up baby Mary, who is now an adorably curious 5-year-old. All is well until Mary's mother accepts a marriage proposal and permanently relocates to England -- taking Mary with her! The ex-dads quickly discover how empty life is without their little lady, and go to outrageous lengths in their efforts to win her back!
Customer Reviews:
Good movie for all ages.......2007-01-18
I've seen it numerous times and still find it exceedingly funny. For those of you that don't like corneyness, this might not be the best choice.
Good chemistry, but campy story & too little love too late........2006-12-05
The actors were wonderful and had great chemistry together. But the comedy was too forced, the tale too campy, especially at the end, and the love was too little too late in the storyline.
Best in the Trilogy!.......2006-08-07
Oh, this movie is pure joy on an ice cream stick. If you like to smile and see people that shouldn't be rapping singing rap songs (for comic effect!) then this is the movie for you.
Get ready to be delighted by Ted Danson's debonair character that all the women love, and Tom Selleck's brainy hearthrob that make all the women swoon, and Steve Guttenberg.
You know what my favorite part of the movie is? You guessed it. The Little Lady. Because in Three Men and a Baby, the Baby couldn't have any silly little lines because it was too young (and was a baby). But now--spoiler alert!--the baby grew up to be a Little Lady, and she says wisecracks that are both precious and life-affirming.
Three Men and a Little Lady is probably the most dramatic movie you'll ever see, and that's including Awakenings, where everyone gets healthy and then sick again.
needs a director's cut and another sequel.......2006-07-07
3 Men and a Baby was a one of a kind comedy that showed three men struggling to take care of a baby girl. Six years later (this sequel was actually made three years after the original) Tom Selleck, Ted Danson, and Steve Guttenberg are raising and rooming with the little lady known as Mary as well as Mary's mother (Nancy Travis) who returns from her brief role in the first movie to play a larger role in this one. Does the sequel hold up to the first? To a degree I can say it does. The humor is good and so is the acting for the most part. I felt, however, that this film was a bit rushed. There were not any major plot holes to speak of but I wish that the movie had of been a bit longer than what it was. I just want to point out that Leonard Nimoy did not return to direct this film. Plus, the dvd like 3 Men and a Baby has no features though unlike 3 Men and a Baby cannot be viewed in widescreen. 3 Men and a Little Lady is certainly worth viewing despite these minor flaws. While I can see why some people favor the original a bit more, this sequel is a decent follow-up that shouldn't be missed. It would have been nice for another sequel to come out in which Mary is a teenager along with Selleck, Danson, Guttenberg, and Travis returning for a third time. Oh well, I guess that is just wishful thinking.
Much Better Than "Three Men and a Baby".......2005-08-03
This is one of those rare situations where the sequel is significantly better than the original film.
"Three Men and a Baby" was a girl flick -- silly plot, cute baby, three men acting like Alan Alda (i.e., effeminate), enough to make any reasonable person want to throw up.
"Three Men and a Little Lady" is infinitely superior, and funnier. I never thought much of Ted Danson until I saw the final scene in this film, in which he plays a senile Anglican priest -- a comic masterpiece that is alone worth the price of the disk.

Little Men: A Big Disapointment.......2006-09-01
I thought I was buying Season 1 and Season 2, instead there were only 4 episodes on each disc ( 8 total). This was very disapointing. I would not have bought it had I realized this.
Little men are very little.......2005-08-24
The series is very interesting.....Am I the only one who thinks Nick and Jo should get married? My favorite episode was philanthropy. I liked it very much. I loved the part when Jo was teaching Nick the pretty kitty book. The christmas angel was very sad because i felt bad for Jo that her husband died at such a young age. Tough crimes I liked very much ( even though it is in the volume before) I thought it was very interesting but my friend thought it was scary and is afraid to watch it when you are alone at night.Jo was very ugly in little women but now in little men I think she is pretty. That's all for now folks.....
Little Men: An Awsome Series!.......2005-08-01
My Nana showed me little women for the first time in May and I loved it. Then she told me that they had a sequal to it as a t.v sereis. I asked her if she would buy volume 1&2 (the only ones amazon carries) and I fell in love with them after the first time watching them. Even though they killed off Fritz Baher they make up for it when they introduce Nick Riley; the caretaker who takes an imediate liking to Jo and Jo to him. The boys and girls of Plumfield help Jo and Nick relize valuable lessons that they and everyone will keep with themselves forever. Also, the episodes that I have seen so far have nothing inapropriate for children. Overall, this is a great series that has you laghing, crying, and sitting on the edge of your seat. You will enjoy this for years to come.
P.S. I am planning on sending a petition to BFS studious to tell them to put more of the series out. All little men lovers should consider doing this so we can have the series we love and we want to share with are children and grandchildren.
GREAT, now give us the rest of the episodes.......2005-04-22
I loved this series and I too was very disappointed when it only ran two seasons. We need good programming like this !! Has anyone seen any other episodes on DVD besides the two sets currently out? Who can contact to get the entire series on DVD??? Anyone know what Spencer Rochefort is doing these days? He was very good as Nick, not too aggressive and fit nicely with Jo....and those blue eyes !!!!
I loved the book but the movie.............2004-06-19
They killed off Joe's husband so she could have a romance? Oh sure no problem.NOT! Also I missed Meg's kids being in the story.Oh yeah and Joe's other son. The acting wasnt the best either. If you are looking for a movie that will bring the book you read to life do not count on this movie.

Both service and product excellent! Recieved confirmation quickly. Received product asap! Happily satisfied!
Love show, but what else is there?.......2006-01-18
I also received the defective version, but I don't mind. I understand what's going on anyway! The shows on this set kind of sucked I wish they would release the other episodes! Hopefully people can stop selling the defective version!
A great series!.......2005-08-24
This is one if not the best tv series in the world. Nothing inapropriate for children, and teaches great lessons. Emancipation is sad how Emil can't except others for the way they are. Teaches a lesson on eqalitty. The Christmas Angel is a superb episode that is very sad as Jo reminices on the lose of her husband. In the meantime, Sarah, a lady Nick found beaten up on the streets starts her life over in a different way. At the end, the school comes together and makes a wonderful play. Philanthropy is a favorite for many, and I can see why. Jo tries to teach Nick how to read, and at first it doesn't go well considering Nick has to read a book called the pretty kitty. Bluffing isn't the greatest but it's okay. I thought Laurie would be smarter than what he did with his money. Overall, a great set but me as well as many others are ready for more.
Defective Version Still Out There.......2005-05-31
I love this series which I would certainly recommend. I would not recommend this dvd release however. I just ordered 2 copies of this from amazon only to find out that I received the defective versions. These have the first 3 minute prologue, before the opening credits, cut off. Amazon sent replacements and now I have 4 defective dvd's in my collection. I am contacting the BFS company to see if they will replace these and I may ask amazon for a refund. I am confused and this was a royal pain. Apparently, the BFS has released corrected versions, but where are these? Update: Amazon very nicely refunded my money, but the company that made the dvd's returned my e-mails only after some time. (...)
Another wonderful installment of the "Little Men" series!.......2004-08-26
The second DVD set of "Little Men" contains the next 4 episodes from season one, including one of fans' favourites from the series, "Philanthropy." These 4 episodes deal with benevolence, gambling, troubled pasts, and racial equality, all in the signature "Little Men" fashion that is wholesome for the entire family. I highly recommend this DVD set to anyone looking for quality family entertainment.

Big Men More Interesting Than The Little Ones.......2007-06-13
Major Burdle (played by George Bancroft) was making a comfortable living off a cute swindle when bank robber pal William Denning (played by famous comedian Jack Oakie) shows up and passes along the infant son of another crook. Unable to give the baby to an orphanage, Major Burdle raises renamed Dan 'Burdle' (played by 17-year old Jimmy Lydon) to be an assistant, huckstering a quack drunkeness cure. The authorities want the child in a school; so Major Burdle sends Dan to the Plumfield School, a progressive, private farm school. The Major himself impresses the school owners so much they give him the endowment fund to manage. Dan starts out resistant and hostile. The Major and Denning go off to swindle some more. Then bad things happen, and the movie comes to a suitiable mixed- happy conclusion, with the swindlers showing some character.
The film is in black and white from 1940. Alpha Vidio's picture and sound are clean enough. The best part of the film come from the comic touches of Jack Oakie, with George Bancroft also being amusing. The other characters are not memorable.
There are a couple of schoolyard fight scenes and no sex scenes. Other than Dan in a bathtub, suds to the waist, begging not to be sent away to school, there are no skin shots.
The only extra is the Alpha Video catalogue.
Pleasant........2007-05-27
Completely different story than the book by Louisa May Alcott.
It is not a great movie, but I enjoyed it. The school is quaint, on a farm. The story is really about a boy's father, a struggling and charming swindler, in the likes of Long John Silver, searching for new schemes to swindle money. His son, who goes off to school, is a bit embarrassed by his father's career. Nothing exceptional, but pleasant, and keeps your interest.
A good deal, at the cost of a movie-rental, at $3.
The father advertises in the newspaper: "Send $3 and receive a fine quality portrait of President Washington, by a professional artist with exquisite detail".
Dissapointing, very dissapointing.......2007-03-05
Little Men is my favorite book in the world. I was expecting this movie to be cute and sweet just like the book. But instead, I was very very very dissapointed. It was as if they said, "Let's make a movie based on the book 'Little Men'!" and then created their very own story, almost completely different from the book. First of all, they barely even introduced the kids. Second, Dan was supposed to be an orphan, not an adopted kid who was overly attached to his "father" and was sent to Plumfield because the "father" was being bugged to put him in a school. Most of the movie was about a plot that wasn't even in the book!!! How awful can you get? I think someone should completely remake the movie, and actually make it at least the tiniest bit like the book! Right when the movie started, I was dissapointed, but I gave it a fair chace and watched the rest of the movie, but it was TERRIBLE!!! It was hardly recognizable as 'Little Men' except for the names...that was it!!!

Customer Reviews:
Difficult Call.......2006-11-19
It's hard to be critical of this movie. It was made in eleven days with a budget under $50k and it features an all child caste. On top of that, the entire movie was filmed in a single park in Florida. Considering these constraints it's a pretty good movie. The main strengths of this movie, as I see them, are the camera work and the editting. The shots are well-framed. The lighting is professional and the scenes flow together well. The weaknesses of this movie are primarily the plot and dialogue and secondarily the soundtrack. Taking into account that the entire movie was filmed in a park (except for a few house scenes), it seems reasonable that the plot might suffer and so a weak plot is excuseable here. However, the dialogue is a major problem from my point of view. Very little of what the child actors say sounds natural and I see this more as a weakness in the script than in their acting. The director seemed to have a good repoire with the child actors (I base this on his movie commentary and the little documentary included on the DVD), but he just doesn't seem to have a good ear for dialogue (again, IMHO). My other concern has to do with the soundtrack. It was basically flat and uninteresting. I get the impression that very little effort went into the soundtrack.
The main value of this movie is that it provides a good mark for amateur film-makers to aim for. If you aspire to become the next YouTube phenomenon or just make little movies to show friends, this movie provides a good standard that may be obtainable for most people.
This movie was supposed to deliver a socially uplifting message, but the message becomes lost due to the poor script writing. It would have been better to have created a comedy given the constraints placed on this project. Having said all this, I still give this movie three stars since it is somewhat unique in many ways and has value... but not necessarily a lot of entertainment value.
