Product Description
SYNOPSIS: In their second feature with director Richard Lester, who oversaw the massive hit A Hard Day's Night, the Beatles again aim for a mix of goofy comedy and sterling pop music. There is slightly more of a plot this time, though it is a patently ridiculous one: a sacred ruby ring comes into Ringo's possession, attracting the unwelcome attention of an exotic religious cult and forcing the boys to go on the run. This chase narrative is thankfully never taken too seriously, serving mainly as an excuse for colorful excursions to international locations from Europe to the Bahamas. The musical numbers include such classic tunes as "Ticket to Ride," "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away," and, of course, "Help!".
DVD SPECIAL FEATURES:
Theatrical Trailer / Synopsis / Beatles Profiles.
COMPLETE SONG LIST: Help! / You're Gonna Lose That Girl / You've Got to Hide Your Love Away / Ticket to Ride / I Need You / The Night Before / Another Girl.

Best band movie ever!.......2007-09-15
We had an old VHS copy from years back that was taped off the tv, and my kids wanted a DVD version. Being an import, I was afraid that it wouldn't play in our machine, but it played in all of them without a hitch. The picture and sound quality are great, especially compared to out old VHS copy!
I am not going to describe the movie, because I think most people have seen it, and if not, then shame on you! ;-)
COMING IN OCTOBER 2007.......2007-09-04
FINALLY APPLE ANNOUNCED TODAY THAT HELP WAS COMING ON DVD OCT. 30 2007-JUST WEEKS AWAY!!!
Amazed at the Quality of the Transfer.......2007-08-23
I watched this on my brother's monster HD WEGA and I was back to those Saturday afternoons when Help! would come on back to back with Yellow Submarine or maybe a Hard Day's Night. I always thought the Beatles movies pioneered music videos before there were any. I couldn't believe how crisp the film transfer was since I'd already seen other movies made much later that looked like crap on HD. I would love for an affordable American release, of Help! but this one's plenty satisfactory for me. Rave!
"HELP" yourself to some Beatles fun!.......2007-08-06
After the success of "A Hard Day's Night" on the silver screen, the Fab Four triumphs in both music and laughs in "Help"! A good story line about Ringo's ring and the pursuit by Leo (The Prisoner, Rumpole of the Bailey) McKern and company. There are some great songs including the title track. A great price for a DVD if you are fan of the Beatles! Just enjoy!
Help!!!.......2007-07-08
Well, I love Help! I was thrilled to get this inexpensive version which is technically well done. Sharp. Clear. Things like that.

how can you not love curious george??.......2007-09-17
I loved reading the Curious George books when I was a kid. I was thrilled when i found out that it was coming to pbs.
I liked the movie, but I really LOVE this animated series. My kids really enjoy watching this and I watch it along with them. It really is a great series and I was impressed the first time I saw it last September (2006).
so cute and still a classic.......2007-09-12
I Have to sons who are 6 and 5. I love watching this monkey with my boys. They laugh so loud and hard sometimes. The makers of Curios George Have a great product, it's both fun and educational. Perfect match for growing kids, not boring or stupid as some kid shows. Also no annoying songs.
My son loves it!!!.......2007-08-21
My son has been watching the series since he was six months old. It is one of two that he watches. He loves the bright colors and I like the lessons. I do try to watch each episode before he does so that I can make sure it is ok but have never had a problem.
AmyC.......2007-07-25
Love Curious George on PBS Kids. Was very excited to find the series on DVD. My 4yo loves watching these in the morning before daycare. Great product for the money.
I was dissapointed.......2007-07-18
I was dissapointed with one of the episodes on this DVD which was "George in the dark". My 3 years old never had any problems sleeping in the dark until he saw this movie. It teaches little children to be afraid of the dark instead of teaching them to be brave and get over fears they could have.
Since my son watched that movie it has been a nightmare for all of us when is bedtime. I think people should be a little more carefull when they are managing a little child's mind.

The 1979 sequel to The Apple Dumpling Gang reunites Tim Conway and Don Knotts as thieves with hearts of gold, this time helping out a soldier (Tim Matheson) whose commander (Harry Morgan) is being undermined by a villainous lieutenant. The film is for kids, but the adult-heavy plot takes this movie in a different direction than its predecessor, which focused on three adorable orphans. The slapstick comedy is good, and supporting cast, Morgan, Matheson, Ruth Buzzi and Jack Elam, are enjoyable, but the freshness of the first film is missing. --Tom Keogh
Description
There's more trouble afoot as The Apple Dumpling Gang (Don Knotts and Tim Conway) can't stop causing trouble -- and laughs -- even when they give up their life of crime! First the ditsy duo is accused of bank robbery as they try to deposit a check. Then they join the U.S. Cavalry and wind up in the stockade for inadvertently blowing up their fort. Although they escape this mess, the witless team who could never shoot straight still can't seem to succeed in going straight. It's riotous, raucous fun as THE APPLE DUMPLING GANG RIDES AGAIN!
Customer Reviews:
Not as good as the first.......2007-07-29
Funny but not as good as the first one. Don and Tim are still very good together and I enjoyed it but not as much as I did the first one. I suppose thats not an uncommon statement to make about sequels though.
Excellant.......2007-05-07
This is an all time favorite movie ever. I is a clean family orient movie. Not one inapproptiate scene and not one vulgar or curse word is used. It is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. Highy recommend it to anyone looking for a clean funny movie
NOT AS GOOD AS THE FIRST ONE.......2007-02-25
This is the sequel of the first movie that was made in 1975 and that was The Apple Dumpling Gang. In 1979 The Apple Dumpling Gangs Rides Again starring Tim Conway as Amos Tucker, Don Knotts as Theodore Olevie and Tim Matheson as Private Jeff Reed. Those two bumbling outlaws Theodore and Amos are broke and down on their luck. So they decide to try to deposit a check in the local bank only to be accused of trying to rob it. While trying to escape they run into legendary Marshall Wooly Bill Hitchcock. With Hitchcock on their trail the two bumbling outlaws decide to enlist in the Army. Enters Private Jeff Reed who trying to figure out whose stealing guns from the Army surplus. After getting in all kinds of trouble Amos and Theodore end up in the stockade. Although they escape this mess, the witless team who could never shoot straight still can't seem to succeed in going straight. It's riotous, raucous fun as THE APPLE DUMPLING GANG RIDES AGAIN! I saw the first one and I don't think this was as good. However with Tim Conway and Don Knotts together you can't go wrong so I'm giving this picture 8 weasel stars.
APPLE DUMPLING GANG RIDES AGAIN.......2007-02-10
WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THIS FILM. IT BROUGHT BACK A LOT OF WONDERFUL
CHILDHOOD MEMORIES THAT MY HUSBAND AND I HAD OF THESE TWO ACTORS.
I WOULD SUGGEST THIS MOVIE AS A VERY GOOD FAMILY FILM.

The redneck quartet from the original Blue Collar Comedy Tour re-groups for another night of laughs, with (mostly) fresh material performed for an upbeat audience. A funny, clubby preface on a tour bus establishes a tone of lowbrow camaraderie among Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy, Ron White, and Bill Engvall, but once on stage, the differences between each comic's style is considerable. Amiable Engvall kicks things off with gentle gibes: "Men are basic: eating, sleeping, sex. I can do all those in my truck." The decadent air of Ron White darkens the show: "If I'd known the difference between 'antidote' and 'anecdote,' my friend would still be alive today." Foxworthy, the likable Everyman, comments on his wife's hypochondria: "Honey, you do not have testicular cancer." Finally, Larry the Cable Guy lowers the bar on sick-hick humor but does score occasionally: "I got a vasectomy at Sears. When I get excited, the garage door opens." --Tom Keogh
Description
Join hilarious comedians Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy, Bill Engvall and Ron White for another round of side-splitting humor. In addition to their trademark blue collar humor, witness what the guys are like offstage as the cameras give a glimpse at what life is like on a tour bus with the celebrated comedians.
Customer Reviews:
Tired Humour.......2007-03-29
I was rather excited to watch this comedy but was soon discouraged after the first few minutes went by. For anyone who has followed any of the guys they will soon realize that their skits are almost the same as the the first tour. Then the guys came out with their own DVD's. So I also rented those. Much to my dismay, the were also the same. Don't get me wrong though. It is extremely funny, and the guys work great together, but, the material is starting to wear. When I saw the Blue Collar tour for the first time I nearly peed myself. I thought it was awesome. Then I saw the individuals separately, still funny. The second tour, just a little repetitive.
Another great movie.......2007-01-15
I have purchased all the Blue Collar Comedy movies. They are hilarious! I even went and purchased another for my son who loves them also.
Can't go wrong with the Blue Collar.......2007-01-12
One of the funniest DVD I watched in a long time.
Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again .......2006-08-24
Very funny but some of the Jokes are the same. Bill is alsome and does not repeat his jokes.

This savvy Disney hit from 1969 made a star of a Volkswagen precisely when the car was becoming more popular than ever. Dean Jones and Michele Lee head the cast in a story about a VW bug with a mind of its own. Disney point man Robert Stevenson, director of The Absent-Minded Professor, Mary Poppins, and lots of other Disney live-action hits, makes the slapstick work perfectly and keeps the laughs coming. Buddy Hackett is very funny in a supporting role.
The first sequel, Herbie Rides Again (1974), is similar enough to the first film's charm and raucous comedy that it works on its own. Neither Dean Jones nor Michelle Lee are back, but a nice cast of familiar pros (including Disney vet Ken Berry) keeps things moving along slickly. The story finds Herbie helping Helen Hayes--yes, the First Lady of the American Theater--keep out of the clutches of Keenan Wynn's villain.
Dean Jones came back to the fold for this third lap around the block, Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo (1977), which finds him racing in the famed city while thieves plant a stolen diamond in Herbie's gas tank. The plot is forced and conventional, but the cast is the thing: the excitable Don Knotts (The Apple Dumpling Gang) and the tormentable Roy Kinnear (Mr. Salt from Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory) are good men to have in a potboiler such as this.
The fourth movie, Herbie Goes Bananas (1980), is a wooden story about Herbie's funny adventures heading toward a race in Brazil. Charles Martin Smith and Steven W. Burns try hard to bring some life into this project, but it just doesn't happen. There is one good laugh in the whole thing, in a scene where Herbie becomes a matador. Otherwise, even the picturesque, south-of-the-border stuff doesn't help. Harvey Korman and Cloris Leachman star. --Tom Keogh
Description
Herbie Goes Bananas - English/Spanish DVD- Set in exotic locations in Central America, the internationally renowned Herbie, everyone's favorite "love bug," demonstrates his special brand of "car-isma" and high-octane humor in this action-packed, stunt-filled comedy outing. The fun begins when Herbie sets sail for Rio de Janeiro's Grande Premio racing competition with his two new owners. En route, they get sidetracked by a smuggling syndicate, pestered by a pint-sized pickpocket, and bullied by a raging bull. Laughter shifts into high gear in this zany Disney comedy! Herbie Goes To Monte Carlo - DVD- Herbie, the VW with heart, adds some international flair to his lovable personality! Upon entering a Paris-to-Monte Carlo road race, Herbie falls hood over wheels in love when he encounters a sleek, sporty, light blue Lancia. Also vying for Herbie's attention is a gang of jewel thieves, who've ingeniously hidden a stolen gem in Herbie's gas tank! Thus begins a madcap chase across the French countryside that only The Love Bug could create! Herbie Rides Again - DVD- Herbie is back in gear -- revved up and ready for more madcap comedy adventure in this sidesplitting sequel to Disney's popular smash hit, THE LOVE BUG! This time Herbie's leading lady is award-winning actress Helen Hayes, superb in the very first screen comedy of her illustrious career. Aided by co-stars Ken Berry and Stefanie Powers, she's out to save her beloved Victorian firehouse home from the wrecking ball of greedy real estate tycoon Keenan Wynn, Disney's most lovable villain. It's up to Herbie and his bug battalion to "come through in the clutch"! Fasten your seatbelts and get ready for a really great time! The Love Bug - DVD Special Edition- For the first time ever you can enjoy this timeless classic in a Special Edition DVD. Fully restored to look and sound as it was originally intended, it also features hours of exclusive bonus materials your entire family will enjoy again and again. He's the star who provides the most laughs per gallon. He's Herbie, the lovable car with a mind of his own. Dean Jones, Michele Lee, and Buddy Hackett join Herbie in this revved-up comedy classic. Jones plays down-on-his-luck race car driver Jim Douglas, who reluctantly teams up with the little machine. Douglas thinks his sudden winning streak is due to his skill, not Herbie's. He finally realizes the car's worth when a sneaky rival plots to steal Herbie for himself. But it's Herbie who'll steal your heart in this wildly fun roller-coaster ride of a movie you'll never forget!

Description
A fraternity masquerade party aboard a chartered train turns deadly when a psychotic classmate sets out for murderous revenge.
Customer Reviews:
...all stations to terror..........2007-09-10
TERROR TRAIN was one of two lurid 'slasher' movies that Jamie Lee Curtis starred in following her breakout role in "Halloween". The typical mix of mindless teens and a rampaging psycho is given a new twist when the action takes place on a non-stop trainride.
Pre-med college students (led by Hart Bochner and Jamie Lee Curtis) celebrate their graduation by enjoying a costume party aboard a privately-chartered train. As the party gets underway, the bodycount rises and the red herrings fly thick and fast.
This curious horror vehicle (pardon the pun) also features a strange cameo role for master magician David Copperfield. First and foremost, this was intended as a showcase for popular scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis; and while much better in "Halloween" and "Prom Night", she provides a fun performance here.
TERROR TRAIN doesn't bring anything revolutionary to the horror genre, but is a very fun ride nontheless.
great movie.......2007-01-16
This is what true horror is all about. You really were on the edge of your seat. Real cat and mouse chase. I thought this was true slasher form.
More 80's Horror.......2006-12-04
A classic horror movie, Jamie Lee Curtis was perfect for these movies of the 80's
Forgotten slasher jewel!.......2006-11-03
It's New Year's Eve and college students are throwing a costume party on a charter train including Alana Maxwell (Jamie Lee Curtis). While everyone is trying to have a good time, there's a party crashing madman on board as he or she is out for blood.
Entertaining and scary low budget Canadian horror thriller that also stars popular magician David Copperfield and Ben Johnson as the conductor, this sometimes bloody slasher flick has decent acting mainly by Curtis and has good cinematography and atmosphere that gives the movie it's eerie mood. What i also liked about this movie is that it's one of the better post-Halloween/Friday The 13th films of the time and has a good ending, this is a must have for slasher fans and a remake will come soon.
This DVD has good picture and sound but the only extra is the theatrical trailer but it's still a good buy for your collection of horror movies.
Also recommended: "Halloween Series", "Friday The 13th series", "Sleepaway Camp", "Psycho (1960)", "Psycho II", "Psycho III", "Maniac (1980)", "Happy Birthday to Me", "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre series and 2003 remake & The Beginning", "A Nightmare on Elm Street", "Scream", "Scream 2", "Tenebre", "Deep Red", "Tourist Trap", "Saw", "Saw 2", "House of Wax (2005)", "Prom Night", "Bloody Birthday", "High Tension", "Phenomena".
Top-notch slasher flick.......2006-10-26
While "Terror Train" may appear as your typical '80s slasher flick, it is anything but. Believable performances, gorgeous John Alcott (The Shining. Barry Lyndon) photography, a clever script, and nice direction from Roger Spottiswoode are contributing elements to the overall suspense that is created in this tale of a college graduation party held aboard a moving train. While everyone appears to be having a grand old time, several students are turning up dead. With all of the students wearing costumes, just who could possibly be the mysterious killer? Ben Johnson is his usual likeable self as the friendly, though stern, veteran train conductor, while Jamie Lee Curtis, Hart Bochner, and the relatively unknown cast turn in very nice performances. The quality in this suspense tale shines through.

The success of Under Siege made a sequel mandatory according to Hollywood's rules of maximum revenue, and as sequels go, this one's not half bad. Steven Seagal returns as former Navy SEAL and skilled chef Casey Ryback, who's trying to spend quality time with his niece on a cross-country train trip. But as luck and action-movie formulas would have it, the train has been hijacked by a demented genius (Eric Bogosian) who is using the train as a moving platform to seize computerized control of a top-secret U.S. satellite that is capable of causing earthquakes from space. Seagal has to stop the train or the villain (whichever comes first), and the action is fast and furious on its way to a high-speed climax. He's not as wacky as Tommy Lee Jones in the first Under Siege, but Bogosian has got a delirious quality that serves the comic-book plot, and action fans get more than their fill of dazzling stunts and special effects. --Jeff Shannon

First rate product at a great price!.......2007-08-04
My product arrive as advertised by the seller in excellent condition. And the price was very reasonable.
R rating is not strong enough.......2007-01-28
I truly enjoyed watching the movie on TV and in the theater, but on the DVD... that's a whole different story. Almost every other word that comes out of "bad guys" mouth is an f... word. Was this really necessary for the plot of the movie? Good thing that I bought this movie used, because after one time watching it, it's going straight in the trash. It's a great action movie with very distasteful dialogs. I wish I knew where I could get PG version of it.
'Nobody beats me in the kitchen!".......2007-01-16
Steven Seagal reprises his role as a one time SEAL team captain, a counter-terrorist expert who had to rely only on his personal skills in order to survive, and protect the hostages... He happens to be on the Grand Continental passenger train traveling from Denver to L.A... Seagal joins the only family he has, a 'cute kid' named Sarah (Katherine Heigl) after her parents died in a plane crash...
Seagal has an electrifying screen presence... Seeing him in action is similar to appreciating modern art...
The train is hijacked by a team of 'ugly men' with guns... Their chief, Travis Dane (Eric Bogosian), is a high-tech mastermind, who fakes his own death in order to gain control of a top-secret nuclear satellite... For this crazy technical genius, technology can be used for beauty or debasement, and 'until you plug it in, you just can't tell.'
Dane's henchman Penn (Everett McGill) is a soldier of fortune freak, whose relationship with his boss resurfaced during Desert Storm...
Morris Chestnut's focus is on humor and breath-taking sequences...
Geoff Murphy's film is incredibly entertaining, combining action, martial arts, and dark sense of humor...
Under Siege 2.......2006-06-15
Saw a part of this movie and it is awesome.Rated R for strong violence and language.Canada:R[Ontario].

Adventure movies are hard to come by these days--they've been replaced by action movies, which favor fast cars and big explosions over the dangers of nature and explorations of human character. Breakheart Pass stars Charles Bronson as a mysterious petty criminal on the Western frontier. After being caught cheating at cards, he's arrested and held on a military transport train heading through the Rocky Mountains toward a fort on the coast, a fort stricken with diphtheria and in desperate need of the medical supplies on the train. But there's a conspiracy afoot--people on the train keep getting killed or disappearing--and the situation at the fort isn't what it seems either. Alistair MacLean adapted the screenplay from his own novel, and it's a well-plotted, efficient piece of work, made more compelling by a cast of solid character actors, ranging from Charles Durning (The Sting, Tootsie), Richard Crenna (Body Heat), and Ben Johnson (Oscar winner for The Last Picture Show) to guys whose faces you'll recognize, even if their names don't sound familiar. Breakheart Pass isn't The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, and Bronson isn't Humphrey Bogart, but the movie is a lean adventure flick with an outstanding score by Jerry Goldsmith. (Trivia buffs will catch Sam Elliot and Sally Kirkland in bit parts.) --Bret Fetzer
Description
Charles Bronson (The Magnificent Seven, Death Wish) is at his dynamic, heroic best inthis suspenseful action-packed mystery-western based on the best-selling novel by Alistair MacLean (Where Eagles Dare). With a powerful cast that includes Ben Johnson (The Last Picture Show), Richard Crenna (First Blood), Jill Ireland (Death Wish II) and Charles Durning (Tootsie), Breakheart Pass throws open the throttle for runaway excitement! At the height of the frontier era, a locomotive races through the Rocky Mountains on a classified mission to a remote Army post. But one by one, the passengers are being murdered! Their only hope is John Deakin (Bronson), a mysterious prisoner-in-transit who must fight for his life - and the lives ofeveryone on the train - as he uncovers a deadly secret that explodes in a torrent of shocking revelations, explosive brawls and blazing gun battles.
Customer Reviews:
One of the Best!.......2007-08-19
I thought this movie is one of the best westerns of all time. It has a great cast full of lots of familiar faces. It is more of a 'who done it' murder mystery ala Murder on the Orient Express but set in a western theme. Bronson plays a mysterious passanger who is not what he seems. Good to see Ben Johnson, Richard Crenna and also the ol' Mongoose Archie Moore along with Vikings football great Joe Kapp.
This is just a fun, very intelligent action movie that delivers in many ways.
There `s a lot of action.......2007-03-20
A sharp script conforms a stupendous Western thriller when a mysterious prisoner who hates any kind of violence is carried I a train with other intriguing characters. Some unnatural deaths occur and an unexpected gun shot will make you to pay full attention in this curious but smart movie.
Passable picture., but never a classic.
Catch the Governor's Train to Fort Humboldt!.......2007-03-01
Alistair MacLean's western adventure novel brought to the screen with an admirable cast. Charles Bronson stars in the lead role as John Deacon, a doctor wanted for murder. Ben Johnson plays Texas Ranger Nathan Pearce. Jill Ireland, Bronson's real time wife, stars as the female lead Marsha Scoville. Richard Crenna plays the secret carrying Governor Fairchild. Charles Durning portrays the Governor's aid O'Brian. Ed Lauter plays Sergeant Bellows. Rounding out this cast is the boxer Archie Moore as the company cook. They all come together for an intrigue filled 200 mile train ride to Fort Humboldt, to deliver much needed medical supplies. As with all of MacLean's work nothing is as it seems and this is especially true aboard this suspense train. All the ingredients are there for top notched action and this film delivers the goods. Bronson's puts in one of his better performances and the rest of the cast sell the story very well. This movie definitely bridges the two genres of Western and Conspiracy Thriller.
MacLean wrote the screenplay and the movie stays relatively well with his book. This is one of those times where it is better to watch the movie before reading the book. Filmed in Northern Idaho on the winding trestle filled short line Camas Prairie Railroad, it is well worth adding to the action movie collection.
My All-Time Favorite Western.......2007-01-06
I remember going to the drive-in with my dad (Neal Clark Reynolds, a top 500 reviewer on Amazon), where this movie was the second of a double header. I was not really interested in seeing a Western, but Dad talked me into watching it, and I was hooked through watching it.
The back-drop is the West, but this is a pure adventure/mystery. It is based on Alistair MacLean's excellent novel (I think MacLean worked on the screenplay). There are changes: there is a triangle between John Deakin (Charles Bronson), Gov. Fairchild (Richard Crenna) and Marcia Scoville (Jill Ireland) in the movie; in the book, Marcia was the niece of the governor, eliminating the triangle facet. Also, the ending differs between the two. But for the most part, it is faithful to the book.
This is an exciting movie, with some plot-twists and hidden identities that would keep you guessing.
A Mystery/Western well done.......2006-12-16
This movie is more a mystery/ whodunit that happens to have a western backdrop. Bronson is excellent in the lead as a mysterious petty criminal and the whole cast is well chosen. Not as much action as some other Bronson flicks as the mystery is the priority. 4.5 Stars.

One needn't be an extreme snow-sports enthusiast to enjoy the beauty, wit, and endlessly inventive action-cinematography of Warren Miller's films. A pioneer in sports filmmaking, Miller began his career--as we find out in this excellent, four-title boxed set--shooting 8mm footage in 1947 Sun Valley, Idaho, keeping body and soul together with ketchup soup and wild rabbits. A half-century-plus later, Miller produces, narrates, and occasionally provides a cameo in his films; three of them, included here, are travelogues set in some of the wildest, most dazzling, and even exotic places on Earth.
The best of the lot, Cold Fusion, involves serious globe-hopping through four continents: Join a long, long hike through Kenya to ski what remains of a disappearing glacier, and later watch the surreal ballet of multiple "aerialists" launched high on the slopes at Colorado's Winter Park Big Air Expedition. Scale up--and snowboard down--an impossibly steep peak in Waddington, U.K., and then, believe it or not, ski Iran, a place "between dreams and awakening, of hot tea and cherry tobacco."
Ride provides its own thrills, traipsing after Whistler's avalanche hunters as they launch explosives clearing landslides before landslides clear skiers. Stick around for stops in New Zealand and France, plus helicopter skiing in the North Cascades, snowboarding the bouncy trail of the Breckenridge Bumps, and cross a war zone in Russia to reach (via creaky cable cars and choppers) the top of Europe.
Storm continues the fun in British Columbia's Blue River, Aspen's Roaring Fork Valley, Lake Tahoe, and Antarctica's South Georgia Island, the haunting first site of Ernest Shackleton's legendary, ill-fated voyage. Rounding out this DVD collection is the retrospective Fifty, an album of highlights (e.g., snowboarding in the Chugach Range, near the site of the Valdez crash) that takes a fun, then-and-now approach. --Tom Keogh

Customer Reviews:
Pre-Ski Trip Hit.......2007-06-29
Always been a Warren Miller fan but this box set is perfect for covering all the amazing technical and silly aspects of the slopes that Miller is so well known for. Bought this for a pre-ski motivational get together and it was a huge hit...new yearly ski trip tradition.
Mostly great.......2007-05-07
I would have given this one a 5 but the DVD, Ride, dropped it to a 4. Ride, is a sub par job which feels as if it is trying to mimic a Warren Miller film. All the other DVDs in this collection are great and make the package worth the price.
WOW! Ski films.......2007-03-10
For anyone who is really into winter skiing, Warren Miller's films rock and outshine most other ski vidoes or films readily available on this subject. A prior reviewer of Warren Miller films stated that you don't learn much about ski technique from his films. But I would disagree, while they are not true instruction videos, they show what can be done on skis, boards, or whatever riding gear you prefer, if you have the will and desire to go WOW. My kids started watching Miller's films and as a result of seeing what one can do with a good pair of skis or a good board they have gone from regular downhill skiing to terrain park and extreme skiing.
As far as this particular package of Warren Miller films goes, this package of videos is great, but unfortunately, it does not represent Miller's best work -- my favorite are Snowriders and Snowriders 2 -- and the films in this package include a lot of footage from prior Warren Miller films.
But for anyone looking for footage of extreme skiing, go with any Warren Miller product of the last ten years, including "Storm," "Coldfusion," "Ride," and "Fifty."
Instructional Value? What?.......2007-03-02
Warren Miller movies are for pure entertainment. He beautifully composes a wide array of environments and riders into a work of art, and it shouldn't be too hard to appreciate his amazing film-making ability.
Not Supposed to Be Instructional. Just good fun........2005-10-10
This is not supposed to be instructional! These are awesome movies to watch on Friday nights in the winter or Saturday nights after a long day of skiing. The best skiers on earth show their stuff in places we never thought existed. Worth every penny.
