4 out of 5 stars THE RETURN of OMEGA...TEGAN...and the TIMELORDS...should have been a set with TIMEFLIGHT..........2007-08-02

This was the 2nd season opener and tied up loose ends from Timeflight, in which unhappy Aussie Air Hostess Tegan finally makes it back home (a.k.a the airport)an complains when the 5th Doctor actually leaves her.

Arc of Infinity features many returns in addition to Tegan, it features the return of the TIMELORDS, absent from the series since Baker's Doctor returned home to claim the Presidency (ofcourse the Timelady Romana was with him for 2 1/2 seasons but this Time we get the homeworld again). Also returning, the mad lost architect of the Timelords, OMEGA, last defeated by the Doctor's first three incarnations simultaneously in the "Three Doctors." This return of the Timelords comes as a timely release following the events of the 3rd Season of the new series (watch for it). OMEGA last seen in the anti-matter universe, trapped a unliving paradox, his sacrifice giving the Doctor and the Timelords their power over time, space and death. This time the "Proto-Timelord's" plan again is to free himself using the Doctor. Ultimately, tragically he fails in a very sympathetic climax.

Eventually, due to inexplicable coincidence, Tegan reunites with the TARDIS crew. ARC serves as a vehicle for Peter Davidson to play both the Doctor and the newly embodied OMEGA in Doctor form, which he does in what becomes the story's best moments. Before his transformation the new costume for OMEGA is also standout cool as are the location shots throughout the story.

My one complaint is that the DVD would have made a nice set along with Timeflight instead of two singles.

5 out of 5 stars All Gallifreyan stories are good!.......2005-10-01

When I first saw this story, I thought it was great to travel around the city again, like with City of Death. That was the first surprise.

2nd suprise -- A return to Gallifrey.

3rd surprise -- Colin Baker. I knew he was going to come on in Peter's era, but I didn't know he would star so soon! He is so mean and awful as the commander! I liked the other one in Tom's era the same -- Invasion of Time.

4th surprise -- Omega returns and tries to take over Peter's body via the matrix.

5th... well it's not a surprise. Tegan is back! I really was disappointed to see her again.

6th surprise -- Tegan works well by herself quite well! Now, I think Tegan is ok. Works better with Peter than she does with Tom. She's had time to develop herself.

[So really, "5 surprises."]

Interesting creatures, very scary sleeping in that old abandoned castle-like place.

Full of surprises, fast moving. Colin made it even better! He was in the story quite a lot. Trying to track down the doctor and kill him, not knowing it's really Omega behind all the anti-matter trickery.

5 out of 5 stars Doctor Who goes Dutch on this one.......2004-02-16

Yes, this is the second of three stories where Doctor Who went abroad on-location, and this time it's Amsterdam. Two Australian students on holiday, Colin Frazer and Robin Stewart, spend the night in an abandoned crypt near a fountain, and before long, Colin vanishes, only to turn up a zombie under control of aliens, leaving Robin in a lurch. His only hope is to get help from Colin's cousin, scheduled to arrive at Schiphol Airport.

For the Doctor and Nyssa, they pass near an area in space that was called the Arc of Infinity because it's the gateway between the universes of matter and anti-matter. The Doctor is attacked by a strange alien, initially billed as the Renegade, but then things get worse. It's another return to Gallifrey, only this time, the Doctor is in danger of suffering the same fate as Morbius, (q.v. The Brain of Morbius). An alien from the realm of anti-matter has been partially successful in bonding with the Doctor to get his polarity reversed. However, for that to happen, someone had to have given this alien the Doctor's bio-data extract, and only members of the High Council of Timelords have that power. The Timelords, still led by President Borusa, don't have time for that--they prefer the Doctor's execution to retain control of the Space-Time Matrix and prevent billions from being killed.

The Doctor has a few allies, such as Damon, a Gallifreyan technician who was on duty when the Doctor's bio-data was being accessed. There's also his old instructor Councillor Hedin of the High Council, a kindly person who manages to get Damon and Nyssa to visit the Doctor even though the Doctor is denied visitors under orders from the meticulous Castellan and his lackey, an unpleasant and trigger-happy commander named Maxil. However, Episode 2 ends with the Doctor apparently being terminated. What then?

There's a lot more to Nyssa that comes out here. Apart from her sensitivity, she gets to shoot some guards in the story, all in aid to rescue the Doctor. After all, the Doctor is all she has since the murder of her parents and destruction of her planet. One of Sarah Sutton's best moments in the series.

The Renegade and his pterodactyl-like helper have interesting H.R. Giger-influenced designs. However, the on-location shooting is utilized quite well so the viewer sees quite a lot of the streets of Amsterdam, particularly in a climactic chase scene in the last episode, where the Doctor and his companions are chasing the decaying Renegade (also played by Peter Davison, who must've made quite an impression running down the streets with a mixture of green-dyed glued Rice Crispies on his hands and face).

Other performers: Elspet Gray (Thalia) also appeared in the first Black Adder series as the Queen. Colin Baker (Commander Maxil) makes his first appearance in the series, and it's ironic that he shoots the Doctor in Episode 1, because at the end of next season, Baker succeeds Peter Davison as the Doctor. Also interesting is that he was a candidate to play the Castellan, but lost out to Paul Jerricho, who also beat out Patrick Stewart. But guess who else was initially considered for Maxil? Pierce Brosnan!! I kid you not! And Hedin is played by Michael Gough (Bruce Wayne's butler Alfred in the Batman movies).

The 20th season was the most memorable season for me, because I was really starting to get into the series, and Arc of Infinity really stayed with me, because it was a Time Lord story, the scenes in Amsterdam, and Sarah Sutton's appealing performance. Enjoying this story does not require smoking cheap grass from Amsterdam.

3 out of 5 stars Weak sequel to "The Three Doctors".......2002-12-13

The doctor again faces off against the awesome "Omega", a fellow Gallifreyan who was accidentally sucked into the antimatter universe and will do anything to come back. Omega was last seen in the serial "The Three Doctors" - an extended episode that matched the first three actors who played Dr. Who up with some of the former companions. Supposedly destroyed at the end of that episode, Omega was just delayed, and it's taken him this long ("Three" had to have been in the early 70's) to come up with another plan that will return him to our universe, or destroy it entirely. Not quite sure who he's facing, The Doctor returns to Gallifrey - home of the time lords - to investigate. Though an advanced civilization, Gallifrey manages to have its share of petty intrigues, including a mysterious charachter who sides with Omega and his ways of neutralizing the Doctor before he can thwart Omega's plan. The plan, incidentally involves the "arc of infinity" which, happily for BBC production assistants, is located outside of England, in the happiest place on Earth - Amsterdam. (They couldn't use Paris again after "City of Death")

This was a lackluster story. Why Amsterdam? The concept of the titular arc seems like a weak excuse for going "out on location". Also, oddly enough, the first victim of Omega's happens to be a cousin of ex-companion Tegan Jovanka - a flimsy way of writing her back into the show (she'd been left behind at Heathrow at the end of "Time Flight". In a wonderfully bittersweet moment, she looks unhappily surprised to have missed the Doctor's departure). Omega's mystery collaborator is little mystery, and the Gallifreyan setting with its many intrigues reveals the weaknesses of Davidson's Doctor (Baker was much more in control when dealing with the Castellan and Borusa characters). Still, the script plays up the pathos of Omega's plight (he doesn't really want to destroy or conquer anything - he just wants to go back to his own cosmos), and you get future Doctor Colin Baker (Davidson's successor) as Maxil, the head of the Gallifreyan honor guard. (In a scene that proves ominous to those whovians who couldn't stand Colin Baker's Doctor, Maxil welcomes the Doctor home by shooting him.) A weak story, one that you can live without.

3 out of 5 stars "Well, I'm not too keen on the neighbours!".......2001-01-23

"Arc of Infinity" is a story with a few interesting moments, in particular a satisfying and intriguing first episode, but the remainder makes for a merely average tale. Part one is exceptionally moody, providing good exposition - who is the alien?; who is his accomplice?; whose TARDIS has landed in the crypt?; is the Doctor to be executed by his own people?; how are the backpackers involved? However, after episode two everything unravels and, frankly, becomes a bit of a mess. By the end of the story, the link between the alien (I won't mention his name for the benefit if those who haven't viewed it yet) and Amsterdam is just too convoluted to be believable, especially after Tegan becomes involved. The concept of the Arc of Infinity doesn't really make any contribution to the story, and the notion of Amsterdam being on its curve and therefore central to the plot is downright ludicrous. The Amsterdam shots are pretty, but the chase in episode four goes on too long and just seems to be the BBC announcing "Hey, we're making Doctor Who in Amsterdam!" The same was done in Paris for "City of Death", but that was a much more engaging story. Most of the Time Lords are boring and stuffy, which, given our knowledge of their society, seems fitting, but Michael Gough's Councillor Hedin is the only interesting member of the High Council. Colin Baker (a future Doctor) is wonderful as the sadistic Maxil, and the alien is well designed. His identity (an old enemy) is revealed at the end of episode three, but there are enough clues in the story for a fan versed in Who history to work out who he is. The story is well plotted but realised less successfully - it isn't bad, just bland and uninteresting. There are several other factors that work against it - the Ergon is dreadful, the special effects of the Doctor wobbling in the Matrix are comical, Talor's last words are ridiculous and Tegan's cousin's Australian accent is dreadful - however, nobody, whether British, American or otherwise, can perform a decent Australian accent - it's just one of those things! ; ) However, Peter Davison is at his passionate best as the Doctor, and Sarah Sutton's Nyssa has a strong performance. "Arc of Infinity" is a passable and watchable story - it just isn't very memorable.

4 out of 5 stars Fine Family Entertainment.......2007-08-26

Walter Brennan and Richard Crenna star in this classic tv situation comedy. What more can one ask for? This show features both clean and family friendly comedy. This show was most definately the forerunner to The Beverly Hillbillies, Petticoat Junction, and Green Acres. It truly is a shame that it does not get the recognition it deserves. Now, that it is available on DVD, we can appreciate and cherish this timeless classic!

5 out of 5 stars Outrageously funny........2007-08-24

This show is much better than I remembered it! The comedy puts you in mind of Andy Griffith show and I believe it to be the forerunner of that show. It teaches lessons while making you laugh. I will definely buy the next season when it is released.

5 out of 5 stars The Real McCoys.......2007-08-06

In my opinion, shows like The Real McCoys is what TV was suppose to be. Good, family entertainment. I ordered this set the second I saw it was going to be released. I had reservations because I feared the prints and sound would be awful. To my surprise the prints are clear with only minor flaws not even worth mentioning. I'm hoping that the rest of the seasons will be released but I'm not getting my hopes up. Seems the trend is to release one or two seasons and than stop. I'm not sure why this happens with these wonderul old shows but it does. Whatever the case, fans of this show should grab this set while they can as it is well worth the price.

4 out of 5 stars satisfied but worried customer.......2007-08-02

It took half a year for me to finally get this first season after ordering it.
There are five more seasons I want to collect and yet there is not any info after all this time of season two's release date.
In my opinion the company that is releasing these videos is being too afraid to invest and make these videos available so we can buy them.

The videos on season one are of excellent quality for their age but the start of each episode with the opening theme is missing the audio and starts a few words into the theme song.

This Dvd set is still well worth the price and I am completely happy with it.
On the other hand the company that is making them is my biggest complaint as they are being too slow at making them available.

I would like to collect all six seasons sometime in this lifetime and with the way this company is bringing them out we all may not live that long.
They are losing millions by not already having them avaiilabe in the local stores for all baby boomers to have access.
Are they stupid in thinking that the Real McCoys was not loved by everyone?

I expect to see the term backordered a lot before this is over and maybe not even see all six seasons released.
William

4 out of 5 stars Definitely Worth Preserving: Suspense.......2007-09-17

The stories in this series are surprisingly good. Unlike many early TV thrillers, these actually generate a good amount of suspense. So they are worth seeing for that reason. Another reason to watch them is the casts. It can be great fun spotting faces that will become well-known in later years: Lee Marvin, Eva Marie Saint, Barry Nelson, Anne Francis, Leslie Neilson and many others who were literally unknown in 1949-51. On the other hand, at least one episode features the legendary acting teacher Stella Adler. Some of the acting on these shows (all performed LIVE) is poor, and actors occasionally flub their lines (even when they only have one!). The productions are very low-budget too. But the writing, most of the acting, and the fascinating casts can add up to some pretty entertaining viewing. Some episodes contain the entire Auto-Lite commercial material (it goes on a long time, but you can fast-forward), and some episodes have it cut out. These programs exist only in kinescope (a filmed image of a TV monitor). They were probably not meant for posterity, but for showing on the West Coast, assuming they were produced in NYC. The quality of the kinescopes is variable, but some do look quite good, too bad the audio was not captured in better quality. Still, for those interested in early TV this is one of the best extant anthologies from those long-ago days.

3 out of 5 stars Suspense.......2007-09-06

This is tv in its beginning. I had forgotten mic shadows, line mistakes, and the like. I am enjoying the disc just for the people appearing in the shows. Many of them at the beginning of their careers. The picture quality isn't the best but passable watching. I reccomend the disc for anyone living thru the begining of television. Roger

Return to the early days of television when everything was live!! These DVDs, taken from kinescope recordings, do not have great picture quality. and some of the stories are pretty cornball to the more sophisticated audiences of today, but it is still great to see the old stars, and the early performances of young actors who later became stars.

2 out of 5 stars I Rather listen to the Radio Series.......2007-07-25

Suspense is one of the Greatest Radio Shows in the history boardcasting.
Outstanding writing with performances from many big name stars of 1940's.

The Suspense TV series after viewing these 30 episodes for first time is a let down. It uses many of the same stories as the Radio series even some of same actors like Boris Karloff and Peter Lorre.
But I just don't get the same Thrill and tension while watching as I do listening.

Radio, The Theater of the Mind is a more powerfull tool then what actually
can be shown over the TV.

Kevin Bacon gives one of the best, most nuanced performances of his career in The Woodsman, a daring and thought-provoking drama he co-produced with his wife, Kyra Sedgwick. In portraying a convicted pedophile named Walter, recently released from prison and struggling to rebuild his life, Bacon and writer-director Nicole Kassell (making her feature-film debut) do a remarkable job of exploring all facets of this troubling yet very human character, from his continuing criminal impulses to the despair he feels over having to conceal his horrible past. Sedgwick costars as the one woman who appears willing to accept Walter, secrets and all, and while The Woodsman takes a few regrettable shortcuts in illustrating Walter's quest for the good man he can be, the film deserves to be seen and discussed as a provocative yet admirably humane study of an individual whom society may too quickly label a "monster." The film allows for different interpretations, and that complexity--along with Bacon's performance--makes it worthy of a wide and hopefully understanding audience. --Jeff Shannon

4 out of 5 stars Hard to watch but beautifully made.......2007-09-17

Some subjects are so taboo that even if done in an artful way it is hard for us to swallow or be entertained by. We have run into subjects like these in films about things such as slavery, the holocaust, films about rape and in recent year's films about 9-11. Most of these subjects have a percentage of the public turned off and the other percentage able to disconnect, for whatever reason, and able to view the film in a subjective manner. The Woodsman deals with the toughest subject matter of any film I've seen, they make the main character in the film a child molester and have us try to feel sorry for him. This film right off the bat had me saying to myself that this was an impossible task.

I was half right, I didn't feel sorry for Walter played wonderfully by Kevin Bacon, at times I understood why everyone hated him. What I also learned was the other side of his life. Him wanting to be normal and constant wondering if he would ever be able to find peace within himself. This film was beautifully directed by new comer Nicole Kassell who directed this story with kid gloves and certainly a scene of tastefulness and discipline needed for such a risky script.

You will not cheer for the Kevin Bacon's character and you probably won't feel sorry for him, but you'll try to understand how hard his life is and wish he could do something to change it. I can't recommend this film to everyone, I know as a parent it was hard for me to watch and think that there are people like this out there. If you do watch this know that it's a good movie with great acting and that the director tip toes around this taboo without crossing over into distastefulness for the sake of "art". It's a shame that these performances will not be seen by many because I think this film is a good one, a very good one. The only thing that it didn't change is my feeling for people like this, I don't want them around me or my children but I do respect the ones that acknowledge they have a problem and seek help to correct it.

    4 out of 5 stars Taut, gritty adaptation is a small-budget winner.......2007-08-24

Writer/Director Nicole Kassell has fashioned and brought to life a taut, gritty adaptation of Steven Fechter's play. There's great acting in this small-budget winner. Kevin Bacon turns in one of his best performances here. It's fascinating to watch him act with real-life spouse Kyra Sedgwick - Sedgwick's is a juicy blue-collar role that she plays to the hilt...deliciously. Also good in a smaller role is the always underrated Benjamin Bratt. This guy brings likability and a sense of ease to whatever he does. There's a pivotal moment in the film where Bratt's character (he's the brother-in-law to Bacon's deeply troubled character) has to react and break from his till-then friendly interactions with Bacon. It's one of the film's pivotal scenes. Great stuff from Ben Bratt.

It was also neat to see Carlos Leon in a small but important role. Hmmm, I thought while seeing the credits: the Carlos Leon that is Daddy to a certain Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon? Yes, that one.

    1 out of 5 stars Pointless.......2007-04-05

I found this movie pointless, devoid of story, dull and sick. I couldn't feel for the poor sick, child molesting man. I couldn't like the woman for caring about him. And when the molester wanted the little girl to sit on his lap, I wanted to jump into the film. Please avoid this film. There is much better in the sea of movieland than this stinker.

The movie attempts to build sympathy for a child molester. One scene the molester is trying to entice a child, and the next the molester beats up another molester.

Regarding Kevin bacon's acting performance - the entire movie he remains quiet, looking depressed. That's it. Very few lines.

This film left me sick to my stomach and bored to tears.

4 out of 5 stars Kevin Bacon is such a good actor.......2007-03-13

This film really deserved better press and exposure than it got.
Kevin Bacon is just sensational in this film.

I really wish that all the deleted scenes would have been left in,I think
they tied up the film in more of a complete film.

It really is one of the top acting jobs of the season, yet was virtually
ignored. The soundtrack was very, very good also.
I don't think that Mos Def is an actor..how on earth does he get film roles??

Kevin and his wife were just so good and believable, and really looked good together in this film.
The close up filming of this film was so good in studying Kevin's face, the folks that made this film deserve alot of credit on that.

    5 out of 5 stars the past isn't over.......2007-01-25

Not until the final sentence or two of this film does The Woodsman reach anything like dramatic resolution, and even then it is a resolution of the sort befitting the deep complexity and ambiguity of its subject matter. The film begins when Walter is released from serving 12 years in prison for his conviction as a sex offender, and he tries to make a new life for himself. He takes an apartment across the street from an elementary school (yes, a bad choice), and rides the bus to his job at a lumber yard. Except for his therapist, all those outside of and around Walter ostracize him as a monster and a freak. His sister refuses to talk to him or allow him to see his niece, a detective monitors his every move, and when his work colleagues discover his past they "out" him in a most bizarre way. Within himself another war rages. Neither Walter nor the viewer really knows to what extent he has moved beyond his past and is, therefore, safe. Involuntary hallucinations plague him, and poor choices born of habit implicate him. Three important sub-plots, all revolving around child molestation, contribute to Walter's unfolding narrative. Watching this film I was reminded of Faulkner's unnerving observation that "the past isn't gone; it isn't even past." Still, and not to reveal too much, this incredibly tense and powerful film ends on a hopeful note that is nevertheless sobering for all of us who seek redemption this side of eternity.

5 out of 5 stars If you're a Hoppy fan, then this set is for you!.......2007-08-20

Many younger western fans may not be that familiar with Hopalong Cassidy and/or William Boyd. Here's a brief background sketch of William Boyd, and his most famous role -- that of Hopalong "Hoppy" Cassidy. Boyd was a major star in the silent era of Hollywood films, but had the unfortunate fate of having the same name as the infamous William "Stage" Boyd -- an actor who was blacklisted because of activity which violated the "morals clause" of his film contract. When "Stage" Boyd's fate was published in a major daily newspaper, the editor inserted the future William "Hopalong Cassidy" Boyd's mug instead of "Stage" Boyd's picture. As a result Boyd ("Hoppy") could only find work in poverty row productions for more than five years. However, in 1935 Boyd landed the plum part of "Hoppy" Cassidy in a series of Paramount 70-minute features. He went on to play the part of "Hoppy" in 66 feature films. In the early 1950's, Boyd (as Cassidy) would again become a major entertainment personality when he made 52 one-half hour westerns for NBC (including many which were truncated versions of his feature films). In the 1950-51 season alone, Hopalong Cassidy was rated the #9 program in the country. In this set you will receive all 52 TV programs, in addition to 10 feature length films (many of which have not been previously released on dvd). The programs and features are in excellent condition (almost perfectly restored sound and video quality) and you will receive untold hours of viewing enjoyment. I wasn't yet born when the "Hoppy" craze swept the country, but it has been a joy watching these dvd's. Many of the top western villains of the 30's, 40's, and 50's, are featured in these shows -- I. Stanford Jolley, Victor Jory, Glenn Strange, Roy Barcroft, even Robert Mitchum. Of course, "Hoppy" sidekicks such as George "Gabby" Hayes and Edgar Buchanan are along for the ride too. If you were a fan of "The Cisco Kid," "The Roy Rogers Show," "The Gene Autry Show," "The Lone Ranger," and "Annie Oakley," then you will be thrilled with this collection!

4 out of 5 stars A Rare Color Series From The 1950s.......2007-06-13

Sergeant Preston Of The Yukon is very entertaining (76 of the 78 episodes are in color), with outdoor scenes which were filmed in Colorado. The quality of the transfers ranges from great to okay visually, with the sound sometimes below par. Even so, I had never seen this show before the DVD release, and I found myself always rooting for the trio of Preston, his dog, Yukon King, and horse Rex (the latter of whom only appeared in season one). The two black and white episodes, which are from season three, may well have been initially filmed in color, but only exist in monochrome here. This mega series set is substantially cheaper than what I paid for the individual seasons.

There is nothing wrong with your DVD player: the creative minds behind the 1995-2002 version of The Outer Limits offer you six volumes of imaginative science fiction culled from the series to entertain and astound you. Viewers should know that this boxed set does not compile the complete series, but rather it takes 36 episodes from the show's full run and groups them by theme; also, two of the six volumes have been previously released as single discs (Time Travel and Infinity and Sex and Science Fiction were released in '02),but Aliens Among Us, Mutation and Transformation, Fantastic Androids and Robots, and Death and Beyond are brand new (and are also available as single discs). But that shouldn't stop both first-time travelers to The Outer Limits and veteran explorers from picking up this set, because it contains some of the program's most intriguing episodes, including the Emmy- and Gemini-winning "A Stitch in Time" with Amanda Plummer; "I, Robot," a remake of an original Outer Limits episode, and starring Leonard Nimoy; "The Grell," with Star Trek: The Next Generation's Marina Sirtis; "Double Helix," with Ron Rifkin and Ryan Reynolds in an unorthodox exploration of genetics; and "Beyond the Veil," with Michael O'Keefe in a story about alien abduction. Each disc offers "Origins of The Outer Limits," a talking-heads interview with the show's creators, as well as featurettes on the making of the episodes compiled on each disc (the Sex and Sci-Fi and Aliens Among Us discs offer slight variations on this format by offering a multi-part featurette and a documentary on a single episode, respectively). --Paul Gaita

3 out of 5 stars Some Good Episodes mixed with some real duds.......2007-08-22

This is a six disk anthology set of the Outer Limits series that reloves around certain themes. As many reviewers have already stated I would definately recomend that you wait and save your money for the season disk sets instead of wasting your money on this. Out of the 36 episodes on this collection maybe 10-15 are of high quality, the rest seem to be put in as filler episodes just make this set look beefy.

Please wait for the season disk sets...

        1 out of 5 stars B O R I N G.......2007-06-27

This pack is a bargin vs. purchasing each theme individually.
Six episodes to each 'themed' dvd. There are only a few outstanding episodes. You will get bored watching same themed episode after episode.
Wait for each season to be released.

        2 out of 5 stars Cop-chop issue.......2007-06-13

I think making theme chop-chop's is an unintelligent way of issuing a series. It must be the works of a marketing manager having no clue about quality.

I haven't seen the series but is very intrigued and want to buy it. But when I buy something I want to get the complete works. Not a minced leftover by some surely ignorant editor (annoying those with a different taste). Any series issue ought to start chronological and be complete. If the studio wants to serve the low quality market segment, then by all means chop it up - afterwards. Please have a little self-respect, dear friends at the studio !!:o)

4 out of 5 stars Great Series However.......2006-09-05

I love this series; ok it's not the original, however some of the plots and themes are as good as the original. Some of the plots are very predictable and formulaic, I can forgive this, its Sci-Fi and sometimes going along for the ride is part of the fun.

What I have trouble forgiving is the way the set is packaged-the themes idea sucks-I want to be able to have it broken up so that I watch one about aliens and then maybe a time travel and a twisted robot one. Why are they not packaged like they were screened? It seems bizarre to me and some of my favourites are missing altogether-the one with Charlton Heston as a judge on time travel etc, no idea of the name- and the double sided discs are a bit of a minor pain, err which side is which again?

All up its great Sci-Fi, some of it is tried and predictable, some of it thought provoking, some just a blast, enjoy!

4 out of 5 stars The Outer Limits - The New Series (2005).......2006-02-24
