If you're in the mood to watch sassy commentary, hardcore melodrama, and extreme dating, Noah's Arc will satisfy. Eight juicy episodes comprise The Complete Second Season. A heightened sense of action in the linked narratives, not only in the sexual sense, taps in to the old-school soap opera model, leaving the viewer jonesing to find out what will happen next. Stories center around five tight-knit buddies, Noah, Chance, Alex, Ricky, and Trey, but so many boyfriends come and go that it's tricky to even keep up with who's who in this handsome world. The men take everything, including themselves, way too seriously, but that's part of the fun. Most notably in The Second Season, Noah's ex, Wade, hovers in the background as Noah attempts to fall in love with gentlemanly Malik in "Housequake," the rapper Baby Gat in "Give It Up," and with politically astute Quincy in episodes six and seven. Dating galore amongst all the men leaves the viewer reeling, but each episode also tackles more serious issues in the gay community, like when Noah gets brutally beaten in "Baby, Can I Hold You?" or when Ricky braves dating an HIV-positive beau. Humor levels stay high with queen Alex's undying flair, while college professor, Chance, and his boyfriend, Eddie, hold down the fort in a more understated way. Corny, dramatic, funny, ridiculous, and touching all at once, this second season of Noah's Arc contains enough surprise to keep viewers riveted until the last microsecond of the season's finale. "What's the T??".......2007-08-23
I saw season one last year on logo when I lived in America and I have been eagerly anticipating this season's arrival. The show is good for all kinds of adults, gay, lesbian, bisexual, or straight. The show is severely underrated.
GENERATIONAL GAP.......2007-08-16
Having fallen in love with season one of "Noah's Arc" and with its characters, I eagerly purchased season two of the series. As I viewed season two, I became keenly aware of my own generational gap with the show. The actors that played the characters of the show were still very appealing; however, I no longer gave a "fig" about the characters that they were portraying. To me, the producers had put fourth a sincere effort to make the show more hip and appealing to the younger crowd. Thus, I felt very "let down" with my "love affair" turning kind of sour. Oh well, I guess love is not always easy. I'll truly miss this show!
Noah's Arc.......2007-08-10
I was hoping to like season 2 `Noah's Arc' a little more than the first. Sadly, I have to report that this show only works on one level and that is on how hot most of the cast is. Once you get past the attractive looking cast there is very little to recommend this show. The acting and writing lurch all over the place, at times it resembles a poorly written episode of `Saved by the Bell'. Wilson Cruz does his best with this material and actually manages some genuine emotion. He is poorly under used by the show and Hollywood.
It's worth buying as African Americans are starved of this type of material, but don't be fooled, we deserve better than this...Don't we?
Dish, Tea, Whatever!!.......2007-07-23
Yes, it is over the top in some scenes, but Noah's Arc is one of the most enjoyable, funny, touching series dealing with men of color! I find myself at times laughing histerically and hitting the rewind button to experience it all over again. They do touch on serious topics of today's society, but manages to keep it light so as not to get too preachy. I can't wait for season three!!
Noah's Arc delivers the goods again!..........2007-07-17
I didn't think Noah's Arc could improve from the first season, but, they did!...Great comedic timing and emotional plots elevates this [second] season wanting more from these guys. Great guest stars like Keith Hamilton Cobb and Victoria Rowell add to the cast as if they've been there all along. [Brilliant comedic performance from Jason Steed] who lights-up the screen with clever british banter and sexy bravado. Jason will leave you wanting more. [Chance and Eddie's] little girl is adorable and acts with such integrity, I fell in love with this adorable little girl and so will you.
The sets and locations are better. They filmed this season in Vancouver, British Columbia and it shows. Great outside shots and beautiful vistas ground this season. Numerous topics packed into this season give you reasons to reflect on what's happening in the community and makes you want to [discuss] these views with your friends. The special features and commentaries of episodes from creator and stars, give you intimate details of what was going on while they taped scenes, not to be missed. You won't be disappointed with this new season. O, and yeah!...[beefcake] so tender you can cut it with your fingers..LOL!..

Another in Robert Salmi's march of modern TV classics, Noah's Ark brings the ultimate disaster story to the small screen with impressive effects and handsome production design. "Liberties were taken for dramatic purposes," warns the opening credits and, to be sure, this shouldn't be taken as gospel (pardon the pun). Noah (Jon Voight), the last good man on Earth, is spared from the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah and chosen to build an ark to save his family and the creatures of the Earth from a cleansing flood. Like a bad penny, his best friend, Lot (F. Murray Abraham), a decadent hedonist turned brigand, keeps turning up in the most unlikely places, including a postapocalyptic sea battle that owes more to Waterworld than the Old Testament. It's an entertaining if episodic story led by an appropriately humble Voight, with Mary Steenburgen as his whiny wife (she musters a surprising amount of dignity for the part) and James Coburn as a jolly peddler. Jim Henson's Creature Shop fills up the floating zoo with a charming array of animals. It never compels as Salmi's previous telefilm epics, notably The Odyssey and Merlin, but liberal amounts of deadpan anachronistic humor (Lot and his wife, played by Carol Kane, come across as nothing less than comic-strip couple the Bickersons come to life) and spectacular scenes of destruction keep the film aloft through its lengthy running time. --Sean Axmaker
Customer Reviews:
NOT IF THEY PAID ME!.......2007-05-24
What a bunch of worthless junk! You couldn't give me this garbage for free. O.K. cast, extremely terrible script. Poor Noah almost had a mutiny on his hands with his own family. Why can't Hollywood just make a Bible epic that would please the audience it's targeted for? Such a waste of a wonderful story once again. It never ceases to amaze, how Hollywood continues to snub such a huge audience of faith.
Terrible.......2007-02-25
I will not waste too much words on this. As a christian you should forget about this movie, for you will find it utter bull. Especially the scenes in which Lot tries to capture the Ark as an old-day pirate, a panhandler sailing the seas on an old-day waterbike and Noah's family starting to become crazy, makes you wish you never put on the DVD, let alone bought the crappy thing.
Take my advice, do not come near this product!!
Ps. One star is too much!
Noah.......2007-01-15
I found this video was very entertaining and also very educational for my grandchild, who is 11 years old.
An Anachronism.......2006-03-31
Having watched great movies in the Bible series such as Joseph, David, Abraham, Jacob, Moses and Samson and Delilah and other good ones pertaining to scriptures, I was looking forward to another fantastic and educative film. What a let down by this anachronism. How low can one go! This is a disappointing and misleading movie that perverts the word of God.
If you do not believe in God, have never read the Bible, particularly Genesis but have heard of Noah from hearsay, perhaps this movie might be of some entertaining value, a mediocre one at that.
If you are looking for a movie with an accurate account of Noah's ArK, don't aggravate yourself. Avoid this movie like a plague.
movie is totally garbage.......2006-03-20
This movie is ridiculously inaccurate. Noah and his family get attacked by water pirates led by Lot who by the way wasn't alive till about 1000 years AFTER the flood. There's a water peddler as well-NOT IN THE BIBLE. Sodom and Gamorrah are destroyed which also doesn't happen for another 1000 years to which Lot has a big part. This "Lot" is a huge sinner, his wife is horrible and he has no daughters. God is portrayed as whimsical. Noah's son's aren't very godly either. It's inaccuracies and toying with the bible makes it worthy of kindling to start a fire. Don't bother watching it if you know the bible and love the Lord you will end up being disgusted too. Hollywood will do anything to ruin biblical movies. Stick to The Ten commandments, The Passion of the Christ, this one isn't worth 10 cents...

Description
When a B-29 bomber strays from its course, its crew -- high-living pilot Noah Dugan (Elliott Gould), a prim missionary (Geneviève Bujold), her cargo of farm animals, and two stowaway orphans -- must make an emergency landing on an unmapped island in the South Pacific. In order to survive, the foursome, along with two unexpected allies, convert the downed plane into the oddest sea-going vessel ever and then set sail -- animals and all -- on a perilous search for civilization in this Disney adventure for the whole family.
Customer Reviews:
Another Disney Classic!.......2007-02-28
This is your average Disney movie, (clean, decent, enjoyable, and good entertainment for the whole family.) I have always enjoyed these old Disney movies, like Swiss Family Robinson, Cat from Outer Space, Apple Dumpling Gang Herbie, etc., and this is one of the many Disney Classics.
Worst Theme Song Ever!.......2006-05-29
This movie had a lot of potential. It could have been a fun adventure, but someone really blew it! The most obvious and glaring problem with this movie is the ridiculously poor theme song. I've heard a lot of annoying theme songs, but this one is so bad that I just can't fathom how anyone could have allowed it in the movie. The other main flaw has to do with casting. The actors playing the kids do a good job and the actors playing the Japanese soldiers do a good job, but the two leads just don't cut it. It may be poor acting, bad script writing, or bad directing, but something just doesn't click when the two lead actors engage in any kind of dialogue. Every word they say comes across as awkward and unnatural. All that being said, the kids and the actors playing the Japanese soldiers do come through with strong performances, it's just too bad that the two leads couldn't support their efforts a little more. Actually, the director should have just focused more on the kids and left the adults in the background. This movie really deserves to be remade (or if there is enough extra footage, re-edited!). It was a great idea that just wasn't executed to its full potential!
Great Family Movie.......2006-03-24
There are a number of new movies that are great for a family - but this is an old and timeless classic! Great movie!
Good, but not great.......2004-10-15
The Last Flight of Noah's Ark is about two strangers, two young children, and animals on a plane that crashes. They all end up on a remote island. The movie is good for family fun, but is a little unrealistic and is very predictable. It is unrealistic in the shark scene because the shark was moving too slowly and the water was too shallow. Also, the storm scene did not show the damage that it should have shown. Noah's Ark was predictable by the "boy - meets - girl - falls - in - love - and - marries" scene. In addition, nothing really bad happens. The movie is good to show how families come together and work together. Great for a Saturday afternoon, or a classroom.
Passable live action Disney movie.......2003-11-17
Elliott Gould stars as an impecunious pilot who ,in order to stay one step ahead of two strong arm men anxious to collect his gambling debts ,reluctantly agrees to fly a cargo of animals to a remote Pacific island in the company of a nun ,Sister Bernadette (Genevieve Bujold). She has conceived the idea of importing the livestock as a way of converting the islanders to a farming existence .
Omens are not propitious-the plane is old and rickety ; Gould is unenthusiastic about animals;Gould and Bujold clash and two pre-teenage children stowaway on the plane .
The plane goes offcourse and Gould is forced to ditch on a remote island which -just to complicate matters -is occupied by two Japanese naval officers who have not heard that World War two is over ,and who attack the plane without success.
The bulk of the movie shows how the parties combine in an attempt to escape from the island and how the internal conflicts are resolved.
Nicely shot on location in Hawaii and with a strong performance from the underrated Bujold ,this watchable movie is acceptable family fare but would have been all the better for a livelier actor in the lead role .Gould lacks the lightness of touch that Disney regulars from this era like Garner or Dean Jones would have brought to proceedings.
Solid and watchable but second string Disney.

An Exceptional Film.......2007-08-13
"The Incredible Discovery of Noah's Ark" was first shown on CBS in 1992. I was able to record it off the air then, but am glad it finally became available on DVD. While I have seen the same film with other narrarators, this one with Darren McGavin I like the best. While he was an accomplished actor, he really does seem to genuinely enjoy hosting this documentary.
The book by the same title is also very informative, and I would encourage those who like this DVD presentation to read the book as well. There are aspects of the book that are even better than the movie, but I wouldn't want to have one without the other.
AMAZING GRACE!.......2007-03-20
I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS DOCUMENTARY TO ANYONE. IT IS COMPLEMENTARY TO THE FACT THAT THE HOLY BIBLE IS THE WORD OF GOD AND THAT GOD JUDGED THE WORLD BECAUSE OF SIN AND WAS GRACIOUS TO NOAH AND HIS FAMILY BECAUSE NOAH BELIEVED GOD AND "MOVED WITH FEAR AND, PREPARED AN ARK TO THE SAVING OF HIS HOUSE" HEBREWS 11:7. GOD IS STILL IN THE JUDGING BUSINESS AND SAVING BUSINESS. SIN CONDENMS AND KILLS US, BUT WHEN WE BELIEVE THAT GOD LOVES US SO MUCH THAT HE CAME INTO THIS WORLD IN THE PERSON OF HIS SON AND NEVER SINNED, SO THAT HE COULD DIE FOR OUR SINS AND SHED HIS BLOOD TO COVER OUR SINS, IF WE CALL OUT TO JESUS CHRIST TO COME INTO OUR HEARTS (SPIRIT AND SOUL) GOD GIVES US HIMSELF IN THE PERSON OF THE HOLY SPIRIT! THIS IS CALLED AMAZING GRACE. "BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, AND THOU (you) SHALT BE SAVED AND THY(your) HOUSE (family)" ACTS 16:31
Noahs Ark -A Classic True Life Adventure Story........2007-03-09
A much better documentary than the "Bible Sceptics" would ever admit to.
The story of the search for Noahs Ark is well researched and presented.
Incredible Noah's Ark footage.......2007-01-08
This documentation of the discovery of Noah's Ark is absolutely diffinitive. It is the most remarkable coverage and video footage to show what has been found atop Mount Ararat. I would recommend this video to anyone who questions the truth of the Bible or existence of Noah, the Ark, and the Flood. Very spine tingling.
Still pretty convincing..........2006-09-21
This DVD may present a more skeptical view of Noah's Ark, but it still creates a fantasy world of possibility where mystery is more important than fact and satellite imagery only shows what we think might exist. People love mystery and hope is always present. I think this DVD is actually more interesting from that perspective and there are some ideas for how a worldwide flood could have occurred. Fossils are shown and if you enjoy reading biblical accounts, a story is played out to give you a sense of how long it would have actually taken to build such a large vessel. Tests are employed to see if such a vessel would sink under extreme conditions and the problems of how the animals could have been cared for is also addressed. Many different people, from archeologists to those who claim first-hand knowledge and sightings are interviewed. This is a good introduction to the mystery of the Ark if you are fascinated by this topic.

Embark on one of the greatest adventures of all time--presented by one of the screen's most eloquent voices--as James Earl Jones narrates this beautifully animated version of the classic story of Noah's Ark. This is a breath-taking adaptation of Peter Spier's book, complemented by a music score by Stewart Copeland.

Great Movie! Beautiful musical score.......2005-11-21
I am a Hebrew School Teacher and shared this movie with my class. It was true to the story and not overdramatized. The musical score was beautiful. I would reccommend the movie be shown to a young audience (Under 10).

I bought this video after borrowing it many, many times from the library. My son enjoys it so much. He loves the animals. The narration by James Earl Jones is wonderful -- very calming.
Description
Take a journey back through time to an age of miracles and wonder. Enjoy a retelling of one of the most famous stories from the Bible, the story of Noah's Ark.
In a time of great evil, the wickedness of men threatened to consume the earth. Only Noah had found grace in God's eyes, so God decided to send a great flood and save only Noah and his family. Noah was told by God to build an enormous vessel, an ark, to save his family, as well as pairs of every animal, so that someday life could once again flourish on the earth.
The story of Noah's Ark isn't about destruction; it's about hope and the promise of a new beginning for all who believe.

Wonderful version of a classic Bible story.......2006-12-06
This is a beautifully animated, very "visual" version of a classic story. The scenes are well chosen and beautifully animated, the colors are vibrant, the story faithfully follows the Bible account. The music soundtrack adds to the overall effect. A very well done video. Enjoyable and very worthwhile viewing!
Great Cartoon.......2005-09-23
This computer animation was one of the best childrens biblical films I have seen. The story is told in a context that a child can understand, but without being too corny. The music and sound effects in this film will blow you away.

Wonderful!.......2005-12-19
The other reviewers sound grumpy...as my childre (all three of them under the age of three) LOVE this DVD. If I ever need peace in my home, I simply need to put this on the television. It soothes them and holds their attention. I am thankful that these are NOT similar to the Baby Einstein videos. As a Christian parent, I am not looking to raise children that are genius man-pleasers. I am seeking to raise godly children who love the LORD!! This is a great start to teach them about GOD's Creation...something Baby Einstein doesn't do!!!
Very Disappointed.......2005-11-23
We bought this video and the Creation video for our little boy who is 2 years old. Neither video captured his attention for longer than a couple of minutes. I kept the video running hoping it would get better but I was disappointed to see many of the same images repeated over and over. And some of it looked like amateur camera work--like home video they shot on vacation. The least they could do for the consumer is get enough footage (however bad it is) to fill a 30 minute show. Don't waste your money on this series. There are many other good baby videos out there...BabyFaith and Baby Einstein to name a couple.
Is this LAME!.......2005-11-04
This is billed as a baby video - gimme a break! The images have nothing to do with the music and give absolutely no learning or development value. All of the items are geared toward much older children. I personally like the babyfaith series of video and books that give a great baby sized bible message while being very interactive with my baby.
Terrific Bible-Story Video for my Baby!!.......2005-03-14
I was really impressed by the Baby Miracle Noah's Ark video for my 14 month old daughter. I was looking for a bible-story alternative to the Baby Einstein video my daughter likes. My daughter watched the video the whole way through, smiling through the many beautiful images of animals. I was excited to be able to share such a great Bible story with her! I tried a Baby Faith video (I think God Made Animals) but it did not capture her attention at all. I was actually disappointed by Baby Faith in that their videos are not story based and are tied togetehr by a bunch of random, non-educational images. I highly recommend Baby Miracle to parents looking to share an educational and entertaining Bible story with their children.
very disappointing.......2005-03-10
This vidoe is so hyped up and yet when we watched it, we were very, very disappointed. I read another review thinking that is was going to be so biblical and it really wasn't.
On the other hand, our baby like all of the Baby Faith videos (and books)- God Made Me, God Made Animals and God Made Music. These feel much more professional and really keep our baby's attention as well as give a great intro to the bible.

Jungle King / Noah's Ark.......2003-07-14
I bought this movie solely due to the inclusion within the DVD of a Noah's Ark cartoon.
The animation of both cartoons was less than fine, and once the music sung by the lead characters start to kick in, that's when it's about time to plug your ears. On the other hand, youngsters at around 4 and under shouldn't have much a problem with it.
On the plus side, from a creationist standpoint, is that different from other films in the same category of Noah's Ark, the scenery isn't all desert terrain, which is certainly a good thing!
Overall, irregardless, if you are looking for a masterpiece in animation, this is certainly not it.
Description
This is not the sensationalized program aired on CBS in 1993 which depicted Noah's Ark protruding from the ice on Mt. Ararat. That program was later shown to have been based on falsified stories, myth, and bogus documents. This is the real Ark site. Noah's Ark has been found. Here is the evidence, including photographs and film footage, to prove it.
With the aid of aerial reconnaissance, technologically advanced sensing devices, controlled chemical analysis and strict archeological field work, this program presents the evidence that suggests scientists have indeed found the final resting place of Noah's Ark as described in the Bible and the Book of Genesis.
Includes photos, video, physical evidence and interviews with researchers, and the best-known authorities on "Noah's Ark" in the world today. Ultimately your perception of reality will be turned inside out by the facts presented in this amazing program.

Excellent documentary.......2006-02-06
The two videos compliment one another. The first contains interviews with respected scientists, ancient historians, author Donald Patten, and marine salvage expert, David Fasold. The second dvd has a strong Christian perspective.
Watch out its a scam!.......2006-01-21
This video is very mis-leading and sensationalized. The 'concrete' evidence of the ark loaction is created using divining rods! Ron Wyatt is known to the Christian community as a liar and a con artist who took tons of money from interested supporters and gave back nothing but lies. Search his name on christianitytoday.com if you want to know more. But his video is terrible!
