Amazon.com essential video
Far superior to any previous home-video version, the huge deluxe edition of Elvis: Aloha from Hawaii captures over four hours of footage from the King's historic televised concert from January 1973. The main concert is presented in its entirety for the first time since its original worldwide satellite telecast, and reedited to remove the now-dated split-screen "montage" look. But that's not all--as a prelude to the concert, the first disc includes 17 uncut minutes of the "Elvis arrives" footage (only 2 minutes of which appears in the concert film) followed by the complete rehearsal concert that took place two days before the telecast. This rehearsal, which was released separately on video as The Alternate Aloha Concert, is rougher than the official show, but more relaxed and often more satisfying musically.
Leading off disc 2 is footage of five songs ("Blue Hawaii," "Ku-U-I-Po," "No More," "Hawaiian Wedding Song," and "Early Morning Rain"), including multiple takes, recorded after the performance, four of which ("No More" was the exception) were incorporated into the American television special that was shown a few months after the live telecast. Those four songs are not included in the uncut version of the concert on disc 1, but the original version of the American television special is also on disc 2 so you can watch the concert the way you've always watched it for the sake of nostalgia, or you can compare it to all the other pieces you've seen and decide which you like better. Either way, Elvis: Aloha from Hawaii is an embarrassment of riches that's rivaled only by its companion release, the three-disc deluxe edition of Elvis's '68 Comeback Special. --David Horiuchi

The best Elvis performance. Get leid!.......2007-09-16
The performance is classic with some of the best rockin roll songs. Iconic Elvis. He even busts out the karate moves. My favorite song is Hunka-hunka Burnin Love.
Elvis in Hawaii is great...............2007-09-14
With the 30 year anniversary of Elvis' death recently, I fell back in love with Elvis's music. The Hawaii concert is my favorite. I played in a band in the seventies and performed many of the songs that are on this DVD. It brings back many fond memories. I enjoy Elvis' voice in his later years than earlier. He had an unbelievable voice that has not been matched before or since. A voice rangeing 3 octives is extraordinary. He may have made it shaking and dancing in the 50's but his voice on this DVD in the 70's was much better. He had a great band. You will not regret buying this DVD. I miss him more now than I did 30 years ago.
Elvis was the real deal.......2007-08-24
As a certified 100% Percent Elvis Fan and Graceland visitor I can say with out a doubt. When you see a concert like this I can say ELVIS IS NOT DEAD!! He lives in our hearts. He's the man.
One Of The Most Important Moment of The Music.......2007-08-10
A great show to celebrate the music and the person of a man who bring his own image and the incomparable voice to another degree on the world music... And still hard to believe that Elvis Presley never went to others countries...
About this version, what can I say? It's a really great stuff to collect! On the first disc you will find two shows that happened on Hawaii plus, a short video when Elvis arrived at the Island... On the second disc, another version of the main show but with some changes made by the television broadcast.. All this stuff in a pretty package...
Don't think... You have to buy It!
Elvis Aloha From Hawaii.......2007-04-12
It is a complete package (original TV broadcast version, and unedited version of that same show, and the "dress rehearsal" show that preceded it. Take your choice, they are all here. A must for any Elvis fan.

You wouldn't think a movie that uses the game of golf as a metaphor for class struggle could be so entertaining. The Greatest Game Ever Played stars the charming Shia LaBeouf (Holes) as Francis Ouimet, a golfer who, in 1913, rose from caddy to U.S. Open champion at the age of 20--despite the resistance of the powers that be, who thought it unseemly for a lower-class plebian to play the sport of gentlemen. Ouimet's main competitor is Harry Vardon (Stephen Dillane, The Hours), a British professional, still considered one of the greatest players of all time, who fought his own class battles. The two go head to head in a genuinely gripping match, deftly balanced against the juxtapositions of their personal struggles. Is it sentimental and formulaic? Is the outcome a foregone conclusion? Yes, but it doesn't matter--formulas exist because, when executed with verve and dexterity, they work. Bill Paxton, best known as an actor (One False Move, Apollo 13), steps into the director's chair and hits all the right notes, aided by an excellent cast playing colorful characters, a vivid recreation of the time period, glowing cinematography, and an expert pace. The Greatest Game Ever Played works. --Bret Fetzer

Another Outstanding Film Centered Around Golf.......2007-09-17
Wow, here is another great golf movie. That's at least three in the past few years that I've really enjoyed, that were well-done, beautifully-filmed and inspirational. The other two were "Bobby Jones: Stroke of Genius" and "The Legend Of Bagger Vance."
This is a true underdog story, if there ever was one. To have an amateur defeat all the professionals and win the United States Open Golf Tournament - which really did happen - is an unheard-of feat. Francis Ouimet's victory over golf legends Harry Vardon and Ted Ray is fact. It is an amazing story and the filmmakers did a super job in presenting it here. It isn't something just for golf fans; this is a fun movie. Kudso to actor-turned-director Bill Paxton for an outstanding job.
Shia LaBeouf is winsome as Ouimet as is Steven Dillane as Vardon. For those who don't know, Vardon was like the Tiger Woods of his day, maybe even more unbeatable. In the film, Vardon is pictured as a warm, nice guy; a genuine human being. the other major competitor, Ray (Stephen Marcus) is shown as somewhat of a brutish nasty guy.
The fourth main character of this golf story might be the coolest person in the film: a fifth-grade boy who winds up being Ouimet's caddie in the Open. He (Josh Flitter) brings a lot of humor and charm to the movie.
As with another sports film of 2005 - "Cinderella Man" - here is another excellent movie that got unjustly ignored when it came to awards. I guess nice films don't win awards.....just the hearts of their viewers.
Good family film.......2007-09-06
Good family film with lessons for parents and children to pursue their dreams but remember reality.
Awesome movie.......2007-08-30
It was a great movie, if your friend, spouse, boyfriend ,or girlfriend enjoys golf this is a great gift. I gave it to
my husband as a surpirse and he was thrilled. It was very entertaining and interesting and well done.
Forgotten story of how it all began..........2007-08-17
This is an inspirational true story that sports fans, especially golf fans should see. It has been quoted as the first "underdog success story in American sports".
If you are interested in the movie, I strongly urge you to read Mark Frost's book by the same name. The book has much more details and spends a great deal of time explaining the historical context and the birth of modern golf. I found the movie disappointing after reading the book, but that is to be expected since the movie must omit many details (the book is 475 pages).
Without having read the book, I would have definitely missed some of the details of the movie such as Vardon's wrist twitching. Furthermore, I am a bit confused as to why Vardon doesn't have a mustache in this movie when he did in real life? There are some innacuracies between the movie and the book such as the scores of the final round. It is also a shame that Walter Hagen is completely absent from the movie, since he plays an important part in the book and is an instrumental player in the birth of golf in America.
All in all, this is a truly memorable story and the movie is entertaining. Those who seek to dig a little deeper and to make sure they get the facts straight should also read the book.
The Greatest Game Ever Played.......2007-08-05
This movie is a little heavy handed on the social-economic class issues. At times the story drags because of this. However, the casting is solid, and the cinematography is lovely. Best of all is the real life story of Francis Ouimet. Inspite of knowing almost nothing about golf, this movie has inspired me to research the real person. The Greatest Game Ever Played: A True Story The Bonus feature showing the interview with the real Mr. Ouimet is a definite plus.

Thirty songs, spread out over two discs and well over two and a half hours, with fine performances, great sound, and good visual direction: it's all here on Farewell 1 Tour, a documentary of the Eagles' 2004 concert in Melbourne, Australia. At one point, the veteran band seemed unlikely to even make it to the new millennium, but here they are, mostly intact, with a string of hits dating back more than three decades. The majority of them are performed here, from the earliest ("Take It Easy," "Desperado," "Peaceful Easy Feeling") through "Hotel California" and "Life in the Fast Lane" and right up to "Love Will Keep Us Alive" (from Hell Freezes Over, their most recent recording with new material on it); there are also hits from Glenn Frey, Don Henley, and Joe Walsh's solo careers, and a few new songs as well, including Walsh's "One Day at a Time" (an earnest ode to his new-found sobriety) and "Hole in the World," Frey and Henley's moving, almost gospel-tinged reaction to the events of 9/11/01. Guitarist Don Felder, who split acrimoniously with the band in 2001, isn't much missed, as replacement Steuart Smith plays the parts just as Felder did--i.e., pretty much exactly as they were recorded (indeed, pristine recreations of the studio versions of their songs has always been a hallmark of the Eagles' live shows). As for the somewhat cheeky title, well, there's always been a certain smugness to the Eagles' sense of humor, and it's no different this time, as Frey doesn't even pretend that there won't be a Farewell 2 Tour in the future. And why not? These are good songs, played beautifully by the quartet (plus supplemental musicians) to audiences that love them. Bonus material is limited to perfunctory interviews with the band. --Sam Graham
Description
Without doubt, the Eagles are one of the all-time biggest acts in popular music since the dawn of the rock'n'roll era. The band's roots go back to their role as defining artists in the phenomenally popular Southern California rock scene of the '70s, a decade in which they delivered four consecutive #1 albums. Their momentous 2004 farewell tour filled stadiums around the world, and this 2-DVD set captures one of the most stellar events from that now-historic global sweep. Track Listings: Disc 1: Long Run, New Kid in Town, Wasted Time, Peaceful Easy Feeling, I Can't Tell You Why, One of These Nights, One Day At A Time (New Track), Lyin' Eyes, Boys of Summer, In The City, Already Gone, Tequila Sunrise, Love Will Keep Us Alive, No More Cloudy Days (New Track), Hole In the World, Take It To the Limit, Disc 2: You Belong to the City, Walk Away, Sunset Grill, Life's Been Good, Dirty Laundry, Funk #49, Heartache Tonight, Life in the Fast Lane, Hotel California, Rocky Mountain Way, All She Wants To Do Is Dance, Take It Easy, Desperado
Customer Reviews:
Great music.......2007-09-09
I had great seats at the tour when it came back to America and the show is just as I remember it. The musicianship is great as always, and the video does a good job of putting you in the theater with the group. Almost every song from the Eagles you would expect is here along with solo hits and Joe Walsh is terrific. A must buy!
Induces chills & great memories.......2007-09-01
I can't add much to what everybody else has said. Beautifully performed and recorded. You can't find a better DTS sound-track. I wish that Don Felder had never left the band, but new (session?) guitarist Stuart Smith has got Don's licks down perfectly. It is also cool to see Al Garth is still at it on sex[sax] and violence[violins]. Now, if Jackson Browne would put out a concert DVD with a full band including David Lindley and Little Feat would release a DVD of "Waiting for Columbus", I can die happily in my recliner.
FRICKIN' GOOD!.......2007-08-29
These guys are so frickin' good! Hundreds of years from now, people are still going to be saying the same thing! Heck, even martians in other galaxies are going to be saying it!
Great Entertainment - Great Music!!!.......2007-08-23
This is an outstanding music video - it has all of their hits and has you singing along.....highly recommended!
If you can't go to an Eagles concert, watch this DVD!.......2007-08-02
This is probably one of the BEST concert DVDs I have had the pleasure of watching.
I have been an Eagles fan for a long time and, unfortunately, have NEVER seen them live. This DVD, filmed in Melbourne, Australia, is the next best thing to being there.
The sound and picture quality are both excellent. Each member of the band, including the horn section and backup players, had their moment to shine.
Now for the Eagles themselves. Those guys have only gotten BETTER with age. Their harmonies are just about the most perfect I have ever heard. Each one of them gets to sing lead and do some of their solo works (Henley's "Boys of Summer" is fantastic). Joe Walsh, the court jester of rock and roll, seems to be having the time of his life and brings a refreshing amount of comic relief to the band without overdoing it. It's obvious that these guys have long since gotten over their differences and now enjoy a level of chemistry that is far beyond what they had ever had in the past.
The concert is full-length and sports some pretty good extras featuring back stage moments and interviews with the band.
Of particular note is the NEW Frey-penned song "No More Cloudy Days". What a great song! Hopefully, it will be on the next Eagles album (when the heck is it being released already?????).
Eagles fans will not be disappointed.
WELL worth the money!

An Evening with John Denver
ASIN: 1573306983
Release Date: 1999-09-21 |
Amazon.com
Self-professed "singer of the American West" John Denver shines in this heartfelt, 1995 live concert to benefit the Wildlife Conservation Society. Favorite songs such as "Rocky Mountain High," "Wild Montana Skies," and "Fly Away" are moving and gain fresh perspective from brief comments by Denver. Lesser-known songs like "Eagles and Horses" and "You Say the Battle Is Over" celebrate the spirit of animals and nature while underlining the importance of preservation. Succinct interview clips express Denver's commitment to nature: exploring man's basic hunger for the wild, the dichotomy between the uncultivated and the city, and the power of the individual to effect preservation and change. Striking though brief footage of wild animals like horses, eagles, penguins, and elephants in their natural habitats serve as bookends to the presentation. The Wildlife Concert is a reflective and moving musical celebration of the American West. --Tami Horiuchi

The best of the best.......2007-07-11
This is one of the best DVD concert among the hundreds that I own. The songs of John Denver are of course outstanding, some of the new arrangement of the old songs made them even better. The message about the wildlife and the wild wild West are also very moving. The price of the DVD is hard to resist, I brought three in addition to my own to give to good friends.
John Denver - The Wildlife Concert.......2007-06-11
No problems with seller. If it were possible, I would give this 10 stars !

The Best of the Best.......2007-05-17
I own two VHS tapes of the Wildlife Concert. Now, thanks to Amazon.com, I also own the DVD. This is the very best performance of John Denver's much too short career and life. It contains songs many of you will not know or remember. He aged better than a fine wine. His beautiful voice became more beautiful with each passing year.
I was always in awe of him, inspired by him, and felt validated by him. Being very much like him, feeling the same way about my planet, hunger, wildlife, children, animals, and the ecology, made it easy for me to relate to him. He felt what I felt and I'm sure I know how he somehow felt a "man apart", so to speak. I understood.
But John Denver put his heart and his soul into lyrics, then to music. His voice will forever be unequaled. Nothing on this earth, other than a horse, is a beautiful as John Denver's voice. On this DVD, as on no other CD or DVD, is that voice more beautiful or the message more powerful. I miss you, John.

Great John Denver Concert. .......2007-05-12
If you are a John Denver fan, you will love this DVD. It is vintage John Denver. He performs hits and some lesser known songs. It is really special to be able to see him in concert again even though we have lost him.
I loved it!.......2007-04-17
What a voice we lost when this man died! And yet, his legacy lives on in this compelling DVD what highlights the best of his music AND supports the work of the Wildlife Conservation Society.
Features the ability to turn on or off written lyrics so you can sing along (or prevent someone from singing along if they don't know the words). Instant chapter access to songs, so you can play your favorites easily. In-depth biography allows those of us who never knew him (and those who did) to know him a little better. Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound or Dolby Stereo.
So many incredible songs! Country Roads, Back Home Again, Rocky Mountain High, Fly Away, Annie's Song, Sunshine (on My Shoulders), Calypso, Leaving on a Jet Plane, Good-bye Again, and many more!
I loved it. This is something anyone can support, even with John Denver gone, that can make a difference in a world increasingly off-balance environmentally. What a legacy to leave behind!

My Daughter Loves Michael Jackson.......2007-06-12
My daughter received this for a graduation gift, her request and now watches it EVERYDAY; Thanks for the prompt delivery and quality product.
Michael Jackson - Video Greatest Hits - HIStory.......2007-05-24
This was a great video, the songs, the dancing, brought back so many great memories. Even my Grand daughters loved it. Thanks for the memories.
You can't beat the King of Pop in his early years!.......2007-05-22
This has all of the old, really good songs that Michael did videos for. No one can go through the 20th Century without being influenced by "Thriller", "Beat It", "Billie Jean", "Remember the Time".... The video even caught the attention of my husband who is not "into" MJ and was supposed to be doing something "important". Children, teenagers, young adults and not-so-young adults all love the early songs of the King of Pop. The video is very entertaining and fun.
Worth every penny.......2007-05-15
This DVD sure brings me back to my High School Days. I loved watching all the old plus the newer stuff from Micheal Jackson. I love every single short movie especially the Thriller one. Worth every penny. Great for Collection.
Michael Jackson Revisited.......2007-05-07
I loved the long versions of "Bad" and "The Way You Make Me Feel". I had forgotten why Michael Jackson was called the KING OF POP! He was ahead of his time in style, with his video shorts, and his stories. His underlining stories all deal with the human condition in some way--"The Way You Make Me FeeL" deals with the importance of being yourself when it comes to love and "Bad" deals with being good over being bad.
One sees his style copied by so many of the entertainers from all over the world again and again. He's the KING OF POP and to date no one has surpassed him. Many have tried but none with the impact he has made on the world.
Amazon.com essential video
The long-defunct, Southern California band regrouped for an album, an expensive tour (expensive for ticket buyers, that is), and this televised special, which features the Eagles in performance. Laid-back but sharp and even stirring during a longish acoustic set, the guys quickly get past the nostalgia element and sound truly viable. They even make it look easy: the sight of Joe Walsh wearing glasses and sitting in almost perfect repose as he effortlessly colors old hits "Tequila Sunrise" and new material such as "Learn to Be Still" may make you wonder why you ever stashed that guitar in the attic. But the band eventually gets off their stools and rocks out on "Hotel California" and other Eagles standards. All in all, it's an enjoyable and mellowing show. --Tom Keogh
Customer Reviews:
AMAZING!.......2007-08-30
Amazing performance! Acoustic Hotel California blew me away! Why couldn't The Beatles bury the hatchet before Mark David Chapman decide to play God?
Reunion of the century.......2007-08-02
Wow! After 14 years, who would have thought the Eagles would ever get back together?
This landmark event has been presented on a DVD with excellent sound and picture quality and includes interviews and clips of backstage antics. After a "fourteen year vacation", the Eagles prove that they still have what it takes to bring the house down. Their harmonies are still AMAZING and their guitar playing is just about some of the best around.
The only reason I give this 4 stars is because it is mostly a mellow performance from the band. With the exception of "Take It Easy" and "Life In the Fast Lane", the rest of the songs are ballads. Don't get me wong, the Eagles write amazing ballads, it's just that playing almost all of them back to back keeps the overall pace of the show pretty slow. Also, with just a couple of exceptions, most of the songs on this DVD are acoustic versions of some of their greatest hits. Again, I love hearing different arrangements and versions of classic songs, but it keeps the pace of the concert generally slow.
Any Eagles fan (like me) will absolutely LOVE this DVD. I still watch it at least 3 or 4 times a year.
Eagles- Hell freezes over- DVD.......2007-07-29
Yes this is a must have, incredible audio and exellent video coverage,a great concert dvd. I watch this on my computer in it`s DTS format piped through a Klipsch promedia 5.1 surround system, and the acoustics and vocals are amazing, nothing is missed. I think truly some of the best of the best of the Eagles to be seen and heard!
FANTASTIC SOUND AND PICTURE MAKE THIS A MUST HAVE!.......2007-07-08
I am a fan of the Eagles and never saw them live. This DVD looks and sounds great and the band plays and sings like the polished pros that they are. If I have one complaint it is the song selection. These guys have a lot of classic songs and they could have added a few more of the early classics for my taste. Other than that one complaint, this is a great music DVD to have in your collection.
And here's how it all started..........2007-07-03
This DVD has been rented from my local public library many times within my family so I finally decided to just go buy it!
This show is quite something especially when you consider it was made in '94. The Eagles were a solid group before and as Joe Walsh brings out, they still "show they can rock" on this DVD. There are multiple audio selections and the visuals are all very appropriate. The camera angles allow you to see much of the group throughout and you never really miss seeing the solos. That's something I particularly enjoy after seeing a lot of recorded shows where the camera switches to the drummer when the guitar player is noodling, or vica versa.
All around I give this DVD five stars because of how truly clean, entertaining, and even relaxing it is. If I were to relate the quality of this to any other DVD I own it would be to the Diana Krall: Live in Paris DVD.

Classic cartoon fans will delight in the bevy of classic Tom and Jerry animated shorts, each of which ends in the proclamation "Made in Hollywood, U.S.A.," and most of which are from the '40s. Fifteen episodes (totaling more than an hour) are featured. Included are: "The Cat Concerto," "Johann Mouse," "The Little Orphan," "Yankee Doodle Mouse," "Salt Water Tabby," "Tee for Two," "Solid Serenade," "Zoot Cat," "Johann Mouse," "Dr. Jekyll" and Mr. Mouse," "Mouse in Manhattan," "Kitty Foiled," "The Little Orphan," and "Jerry's Diary." It might surprise more mature viewers, with fond recollections of the adventures of the gray cat and the little mouse, how relentlessly violent (albeit cartoon violence) the 'toons are. This video, a collection of chase-centric films, is notably chock full of head bangin', body bashing, poisoning, and all-around disorder.
The absolute highlight are two shorts low on smashin' and high on entertainment: "The Cat Concerto" and "Mouse in Manhattan," the first with Tom as the focus and the second with Jerry. They both involve forays into entertainment, a great soundtrack, and a fun story. The DVD edition adds "The Worry Song" from Anchors Aweigh, the classic showcase of the amazing (and oft-copied) duet of animation and live action, as Jerry dances with the wonderful Gene Kelly. Contrasted with the PC content of today's 'toons, Tom and Jerry is a literal blast from the past--a must for collectors, and for parents comfortable with explaining that Tom isn't really burned to ashes, and Jerry hasn't been beheaded. --N.F. Mendoza

Classic stuff!.......2007-07-07
Our son is but 7 months old but he enjoys the odd cartoon when he is sitting in his chair relaxed. But I cant stand today's cartoons, most of them are really rubbish, they don't have that magical quality as cartoons like this had in my time, today its just weirdness that seems to cater more for the junkie than children. So it was my pleasure to introduce Tom and Jerry for a start.
Ahh the good ol' days of TV.......2007-06-19
I got this for my son who is 4 and it takes me back to watching them when I was around his age. Great quality, great Tom & Jerry choices.
YEAH! Classic T&J takes me back to when I was 5.......2007-06-17
Wow..nothing says 1940 like a good Tom and Jerry cartoon! This DVD is worth every penny. Don't steal it from the internet...purchase it here and do the right thing. These episodes are classic and took me back to my childhood. I had not seen some of these since I was very little and it was fun to explore the animation of the day. The animators from back then really had ability that has since been long lost.
get this DVD. it's worth it!
Great DVD for the price.......2007-06-08
My son is 4 years old and absolutely loves this DVD. He first saw Tom and Jerry on our local cable TV but it only comes on Saturday mornings, so this was a great DVD for him. It has so many short episodes it keeps his attention, especially in the car on long trips. Well worth the money.
A mean,stupid cat and a sweet,lovable mouse.......2007-03-15
If you're a fan of MGM theatrical cartoons, this item is for you. Tom and Jerry has audiences, young and old, cracking up with their hilarious hijinks. Tom meets a pretty girl cat on the beach in SALT WATER TABBY. Jerry takes interest in the girl cat. The same girl cat is seen in SOLID SERENADE. Tom musically woos her via bass fiddle, disturbing Jerry's sleep. Jerry is automatically bounced out of bed on his face and stomach and the rhythm of the bass keeps bouncing Jerry. Tom impresses another female cat(not a glamourous one, though) wearing a "zoot suit" in THE ZOOT CAT. The usually totally silent Jerry speaks one line in the cartoon,"What's cooking, toots?". Tom spoke in the cartoon also,a little more than Jerry. Tom's suit shrinks to the point where it now fits Jerry! Jerry is off to Manhattan in MOUSE IN MANHATTAN,only to be met with disappointment. Jerry was used to apply shoe polish(he ends up in blackface,a scene never seen on some TV stations including Cartoon Network). He even felt light friction of the heavy New York City traffic. So,he's back home with Tom and again in his hole in the wall. TEE FOR TWO features a lawnmower-shorn Tom and his bee-stung mouth(courtesy of angry, intimidated bees). THE YANKEE DOODLE MOUSE was excellent. If I'm not mistaking,it was at least an Academy Award nominee. Tom is a concert pianist in the Oscar-winning THE CAT CONCERTO. Jerry is asleep inside the grand piano Tom is playing on stage and the striking hammers inside awake Jerry. Jerry, angry with Tom,finishes the performance himself and dons a tuxedo in the final scene with the spotlight shining on him. THE LITTLE ORPHAN,another Academy Award nominee, features Tom,Jerry and Jerry's visiting nephew Nibbles playing Thanksgiving scenes and in the final scene, praying before consuming the Thanksgiving dinner. Nibbles eats all of the turkey like a termite! He appears rotund in the final scene. In KITTY FOILED,there's Tom,Jerry and an unnamed canary riding a train set on the living room floor. In the final scene,Jerry and the canary are happily whistling away in the canary's cage. An excerpt of this cartoon became stock footage for LIFE WITH TOM(not seen on this DVD). JERRY'S DIARY contains stock footage from previous cartoons(released before that one). Tom was so furious about many of the statements Jerry wrote about him in his diary. Jerry comes along only to meet Tom who splatters a pie all over Jerry and his hole in the wall. The other cartoons are awesome. I loved them as a kid over two decades ago.

Love his Vitality.......2007-09-10
I love his presentation, selection, and humour in presenting all genres of music. A joy to watch.
Andre Rieu in Dublin.......2007-08-15
This is a good DVD and the music and songs were very enjoyable. No matter where he and his Orchestra and singers appear feel they enjoy what they do and it is apparent in the music etc.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE IRISH. . ........2007-07-03
Every performance of Andre Rieu is a masterpiece. . .after viewing this program, it gives a person that "good all-over feeling!" . . .which lasts for days. . .
THE BEST OF THE BEST.......2007-05-14
I now own seven Andre Rieu DVD's...in his earlier works the orchestra had no backup singers or vocal soloists. In the Dublin program, there was great singing and well as two outstanding vocal solos. Also, the comedic "bull chasing the lady in red" was pure delight. The marvelous bit in all of the DVD's is that the audience is having a grand time listening and participating in the show. Another plus in this program was the superb use of the flute, piccalo and Irish tin whistle. It was just grand. Andre Rieu and his orchestra are scheduled for a concert in Anaheim, CA in December 2007 with ticket sales ranging from $125 to $175 each. By May 1st, the concert is already sold out in an auditorium that seats thousands of people. So many people having so much fun at an all classical music concert is quite remarkable. And that is Andre Rieu.

Andre Rieu, always a pleasure.......2007-05-13
Andre Rieu plays a violin wonderfully, and has a gret power of
comunication. In Dublin he performed some of his best know music,
and this show is easy to see and follow. But, better than this one,
are "Live in Tuscany" (Romantic Paradise) and "Andre Rieu at Schonbrunn,
Vienna", recorded in High Definition. I bought it in Brazil.
