In this clever speculative tale, story collaborators Karl Alexander and Steve Hayes and screenwriter-director Nicholas Meyer (Star Trek II and VI) send two famous historical figures ahead in time. In late 19th century England, writer H.G. Wells (Malcolm McDowell) unwittingly includes Jack the Ripper (David Warner) in his social circle. When one of Wells's dinner parties is crashed by the police looking for the Ripper, Jack uses the author's time machine to escape. But there's one catch--after it has been used, the machine returns to Wells's time. Thus the literary genius bravely sets out to find his evil friend before he can wreak havoc on another time period, and soon arrives in modern-day San Francisco. What follows is a fascinating merger of a suspense thriller--as the charming and polite Wells tries to hunt down the shrewd, brutish Ripper and take him back to the past--and a love story, as Wells befriends and falls in love with a bank administrator (Mary Steenburgen) who acts as his guide through the future. Through its brilliant combination of creepy suspense and tender romance, Time After Time manages to become a classic in two genres at once--a rare cinematic achievement. --Bryan Reesman

Description

London 1893 is home to a killer with a macabre nickname... and also to a visionary genius who would write "The Time Machine." But what if H.G. Wells' invention wasn't fiction? And what if Jack the Ripper escaped capture fleeing his own time to take refuge in ours - with Wells himself in pursuit?

Interesting plot, pretty good movie. This was the first thing I have ordered from Amazon that was defective. I had no problem returning it for replacement. Very happy with Amazon and the DVD.

4 out of 5 stars Sorry, No Cindy Lauper On The Soundtrack.......2007-08-06

A long forgotten classic that deserves to be rediscovered. This is one you were likely to catch on HBO back in the day, but few people know of this film anymore. Tis a shame coz it's a very fun movie. H.G. Wells invents a time machine in the late 1800s and has to pursue Jack the Ripper who has escaped to the future, the future being 1979 in this case. Jack continues with his old antics while Wells tries to capture him and also tries to adjust to the 20th century(which wasn't at all what he thought it was going to be to his disappointment) and falls in love with Mary Steenburgen along the way. The movie's a bit hard to classify. Considering the premise, it's easy to just write it off as sci-fi, but that's not entirely true. The movie does become a love story a little ways in, but don't let that discourage all you manly men out there, because it actually works. The comedy, which consists of many fish-out-of-water moments with McDowell(Warner seems to adjust a little better and without much humor) discovering new things like electric toothbrushes and a McDonald's restaurant(which he refers to as "that Scottish restaurant I ate breakfast at"), are funny, cute and effective. Though Jack the Ripper is the movie's villain, this isn't a Jack the Ripper movie, if you catch my drift. There are no insights to Jack or his motivations; He's simply there, and he's a threat and he's a mean mother. Underrated character actor David Warner does a great job with the role. Mary Steenburgen is a real cutie. She'll never be considered a Hollywood sex kitten, but I've always found her to be a very attractive lady and a believable choice for Wells' character to fall for(and Dr. Emmett Brown for that matter!). That leaves Malcolm McDowell. A very fine performance from a guy who we're used to seeing play villains and psychos. Here he convincingly manages to be heroic, awkward, clumsy, and romantic. Hard to imagine he played Caligula the same year! The actual time travel sequence, one scene in a dance club, and a few minor odds and ends might have modern viewers chuckling, but other than that, this movie doesn't come across as dated as some have said or some may expect. It really holds up well. My only gripe about the film, and it's the same gripe I have about a couple of stories that deal with time travel, is that McDowell gets into the time machine in London and gets out in San Fransisco. Now, I'm no expert on time travel, but the idea is that you move through time, but not physically from the position where you left, right? To me, that was a little hard to buy, I would have preferred that it had taken place in London in 1979, that would have made more sense. Not only that, but if you're familiar with the H.G. Wells book, The Time Machine, that's the whole point! The character never moves from the spot in his lab where the time machine sits, it's everything around him that changes as time changes. Oh well, it's a minor gripe, but it's still a great movie. See it before Rob Zombie decides to remake it.

4 out of 5 stars Oedipus Wrecks, or the Perks of Asking Romy to Dance.......2007-04-19

Of all the bad ideas from the seventies getting cheeky revivals, why doesn't someone bother to givve a neat story like this one a decent remake? Malcolm McDowell plays Jack the Ripper, who steals H.G. Wells' time machine in order to escape the police. The machine returns sans Jack, and Wells travels into the future to capture him. He also manages to meet a nice girl who may want to settle down with him. Instead he opts to count his Ripper reward money in the Time Machine, leaving it running with the garage door closed while listening to Morrissey's cover of "A Hard Day's Night." Thumbs up, to infinity!

This film was directed by Brian DePalma.

5 out of 5 stars A blast from the past.......2007-01-28

Wow! What a great film! I remembered seeing it when I was very young. The movie was way ahead of it's time (no pun intended). The story was very original and the soundtrack, composed by the legendary Miklos Rosza, gives the film a classic feel. Although it may seem cheap by today's special effects standards, this film really delivers! Very enjoyable!

What a GREAT movie! A new twist on the old classic! I'll be watching this one again & again!!

Although I thoroughly enjoy the music on Pavarotti & Friends For War Child, I could not play the CD as purchased on either of my CD players because it was in a 5.1 format. A friend copied it onto a disc I can play.
I feel that CD's purchased through your company should be in formats able to be used be the masses, instead of a select few that are able to have state-of-the-art machinery.
Other than that, I am extremely happy with your service (I was a first-time buyer), and with the CD as a whole. Thanks.

5 out of 5 stars An all-star presentation of life and survival!.......1999-07-12

Pavarotti and Friends for War Child is the second but not the last, of Pavarotti's efforts to make visible that which we would prefer to ignore. From his opening prayer of Holy Mother, he pleads for compassion. Eric Clapton's blues-trained voice melds effortlessly and makes us also want redemption and grace. Interestingly placed on the same theme is Joan Osborne's St Teresa. Joan sings of looking from the depths of desolation to a possible savior. Euro-pop tunes featured are poignant studies in our humanity and most are worth our listening. Pavorotti's collection ends with Live Like Horses-- Elton John's tribute to the life of Versace. He asks that we kick down our fences and move on! to live free and noble as does our equine friend. Thank you Pavarotti. Your wisdom and far-reaching voice beacons and then gently educates us. Our lives-- as the War Child's, WILL continue and evolve.

Inspired by Chris Marker's acclaimed short film La Jetée (which is included on the DVD Short Cinema Journal, Volume 2), 12 Monkeys combines intricate, intelligent storytelling with the uniquely imaginative vision of director Terry Gilliam. The story opens in the wintry wasteland of the year 2035, where a virulent plague has forced humans to live in a squalid, oppressively regimented underground. Bruce Willis plays a societal outcast who is given the opportunity to erase his criminal record by "volunteering" to time-travel into the past to obtain a pure sample of the deadly virus that will help future scientists to develop a cure. But in bouncing from 1918 to the early and mid-1990s, he undergoes an ordeal that forces him to question his own perceptions of reality. Caught between the dangers of the past and the devastation of the future, he encounters a psychiatrist (Madeleine Stowe) who is initially convinced he's insane, and a wacky mental patient (Brad Pitt in a twitchy Oscar-nominated role) with links to a radical group that may have unleashed the deadly virus. Equal parts mystery, tragedy, psychological thriller, and apocalyptic drama, 12 Monkeys ranks as one of the best science fiction films of the '90s, boosted by Gilliam's visual ingenuity and one of the finest performances of Willis's career. The Collector's Edition DVD includes a fascinating behind-the-scenes documentary (The Hamster Factor and Other Tales of 12 Monkeys) in addition to the theatrical trailer, production notes, and a 12 Monkeys archive of still photos, design concepts, and storyboards. --Jeff Shannon

5 out of 5 stars A great film, and what a "reimagining" should be..........2007-09-03

This is one of Gilliam's best films, and one of his most commercially successful. It's one of the few films I really liked in the 1990's, as it is (as with most of Gilliam's work) a true work of art and something that is totally Gilliamish. It is a sad, haunting, strange work. One of the reasons this film works so well is that the studio left Gilliam alone and let him get on with it. The performances by Bruce Willis, Madeline Stowe, and Brad Pitt are all excellent. Willis is exceptionally good, showing that he can actually act if working with a great director like Gilliam. Stowe brings a tender, quiet quality to her role, and Pitt is great as a borderline insane guy. Some of his dialogue is a bit obvious, but overall it doesn't detract too much from the film. This is a pseudo-remake of Chris Marker's remarkable La Jetee, but Gilliams does it justice. La Jetee is a masterpiece, but then, so is this film. Gilliam really does "reimagine" it, bringing his own distinct voice to the material, and expounding on Marker's masterpiece. Marker recently said he felt this film was wonderful because Gilliam has such a rich imagination (which he does). The ending is quite sad, but it works very well, and kudos to the studio and Gilliam for keeping it in. I always admired Gilliam's film, even his misunderstood Tideland. I think he's one of the great directors. This is one of his best films....

5 out of 5 stars Simply the best version you can get.......2007-08-31

This is of course one of the best films ever made, and this is the best version you can get of that film, so get it :)
+ you gotta watch the bonus material "The Hamster Factor" great stuff.

4 out of 5 stars Great ending.......2007-08-24

One of Pitt's best roles. The world is devastated by a plague everyone dies. The few survivors go and live below ground and search back through time for a cure. Great ending.

Corey Cotta, Author of All of Yesterdays Tomorrows.

5 out of 5 stars All Time Favorite.......2007-08-13

I remembered watching this movie in the theatre when I was in high school. It has remained my favorite of all time.

4 out of 5 stars Fantastic.......2007-06-04

I really liked the movie. One of the best sci-fi movies I have seen. But I have a question. When Madeleine Stowe calls up the number that Bruce Willis is supposed to call, and she reaches a carpet cleaning company she is overjoyed thinking that the virus plague is a hoax after all. She nevertheless leaves a message in the voice mail of that number and recounts it to Bruce Willis who of course has heard it before and repeats the message verbatim even before Stowe could finish telling him. The whole point of the film is that Bruce Willis is reliving the past exactly as it had happened, with him as one of the main protagonist. So what actually happened in 1996? Did Stowe call up the carpet cleaning company? Did she leave a message? If she did and repeated that to Willis did Willis know beforehand what her message was? If he knew, then how did he know? He was NOT time travelling THEN. He was just a little boy of 8 years. And if it was not Willis (Cole) in 1996 who Stowe (Railly) met, then who was it? Because Cole was 8 years old in 1996. Can anybody throw any light?

The great Walter Matthau (The Fortune Cookie, The Bad News Bears, The Odd Couple) gives one of his last performances in Life After Death. Matthau plays Frank, whose wife dies after more than 40 years of marriage. Frank feels lonely, despite the affection and support of his swinging bachelor son Robert (John Stamos). Suddenly romance blossoms for both men: Frank meets Florence (Carol Burnett) at a Hawaiian-themed seniors party, while Robert meets Susan (Teri Polo) on the job. But while Frank is quick to contemplate settling down, Robert is not only leery of commitment for himself, he's not so sure his father should be jumping into a new relationship either. The script of Life After Death is commonplace, but also sincere--and in the hands of old pros like Matthau and Burnett, it plays splendidly. Stamos and Polo have a nice chemistry that gives their scenes some zip. --Bret Fetzer

Description

Walter Matthau stars in one of his final performances as Frank Walsh, a man who finds himself widowed after four decades of marriage. Unlike his son Robert (John Stamos), Frank enjoys married life and finds himself in love again when he meets Florence (Carol Burnett). Robert is unhappy about the match but ultimately realizes that he cannot stand in the way of his father's happiness.

Description

Set sometime "after the Decline", in a world of no-place, this Hitchcockian story of an android, painstakingly created in the likeness of his maker, is a Frankenstein fable for the millennium. The dark and eerie world of Puzzlehead is one where betrayal, deception, and murder lurk just beyond each twist and turn of this meditative plot.

Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars Unique take on Frankenstein.......2007-08-12

Puzzlehead's body is android as imagined by 1980s sci-fi, with fake skin and metal innards. But in a new twist on the Frankenstein myth, Walter uses his own psyche as the software on Puzzlehead's mental hard drive. The two are equally inhuman in the movie's first scenes, but as Puzzlehead starts to experience some of Walter's emotions, he becomes the character we sympathize with. What did Walter build him for? Does it have something to do with the beautiful, but unhappy Russian woman who owns a shop down the street?

It does. The old Frankenstein plot, where the Monster takes out his jealousy and anger at the good Doctor by murdering his beloved, gets a twist here, too. Both android and android maker fall for the same girl. But it's only natural--they're two men with the same brain.

While the twists are fairly predictable, and Galaida's twin performances seem more than artfully flat, Puzzlehead is a fascinating, new look at an old fable. Writer-director Bai's interest, however, is clearly in the art of the endeavor, not the philosophy. Expect to be wowed by the world and the visuals, not so much the plot.

"Sexy and chic." —Entertainment Weekly

Perhaps the most startlingly authentic portrayal of a love affair ever filmed, After Sex is a funny, taboo-breaking film about passion and obsession, which swoops from the euphoric heights of a sexually charged romance to its tempestuous aftermath.

Brigitte Roüan stars as Diane, a forty-year old book editor with a successful career, a loving husband and two adorable children. During a visit with one of her writers, she meets Emilio (Boris Terral), an exotically seductive engineer in his twenties who ignites Diane's life with passion and turns her world upside down.

5 out of 5 stars It`s so true!.......2007-07-12

AFTER SEX is a funny movie about contemporary relationships. Kate (Brooke Shields), divorced, and three girlfriends go to Palm Springs to spend the weekend. In the hotel bar, after many, many, many drinks, they meet new guys and... Well, when the girls come back home, they have to deal with their own feelings and their relationships. The first time I watched AFTER SEX, I thought to myself: "It's so true!" Now, I watch this charming movie time and time again and I'm quite sure they stole my story! (I`m kidding!) The performers are very natural and real. The soundtrack is lovely (specially the song KISS ME) and it goes so well with the action, that really moves me. In this crazy world we live, where things change so fast and everything seems to be "one way", the movie challenges and, more than this, it makes me feel like finding out what comes... after sex. Marcia Vieira, from Rio de Janeiro/ Brazil.

Save your money and invest in a Pet Rock. You'd get amusement from it than you will from this dreadful film. I picked it up at a Blockbuster previously viewed movie sale. Thank god it was only 1.99. And now I know why. IT'S AWFUL. I honestly tried to watch this movie, but I had to fast forward through most of it because of the insipid dialogue and trite premise. It tries to come off as a serio-comic romance, but it's boring, predictable and trite. If you come across it, lie very still and it may just sniff you and leave you alone. If it doesn't, may God take mercy on your mortal soul.

5 out of 5 stars Serious Spackled With Comedy.......2002-07-23

I actually really enjoyed this movie--a lot. I throw this movie into the category of the successor to those relationship movies such as About Last Night and St. Elmo's Fire, but with a somewhat lighter tone. I thought the ending was well done. The characters and their situations felt real. I don't want to give parts of this movie away, but there are a few interactions with the guys that I found hilarious.

I wish the DVD had more features--actually, any features. Apparently, they did not want to spend a lot of time to put any of those special DVD perks before they shipped it out.

3 out of 5 stars You knew it before you see it........2002-05-16

I know everyone who watched this movie wouldn't like to comment on it because of the title of this movie. But I'd like to take the plunge and be the first person to review it.

I accidentaly knew this movie from an ad on a portal site of South Korea, which was Brooke Shields with a cigar. She is famous and popular in my country, so I wanted to watch this for a try.

This movie is for mature audiences, but not so-called an adult movie. You can't expect a stuff except a slight upper-body one. That's usually good for most viewers.

For the content? It's just what men and women are all about for the ages in this movie. You knew it before you will see this. If you'd like to know it, you don't have to know it.

If you have time and nothing to do, it would be an option to watch this movie. But it would be better for you to watch other better movies, if you'd choose to watch a DVD/VHS.

Just watching your familiar actresses will be fine and that's all. I don't know how familiar they are because I can't watch U.S. TV series except very famous ones in my country.

It's up to you how you spend your leisure time.

Description

With its breathtaking cinematography, this Andrzej Wajda films is a romantic yet fatalistic fable of budding love and the war that would not end. Based on Tadeusz Borowski's stories of a German stalag curiously unchanged even after its liberation by the American army, the film tells a powerful love story between two Poles at the end of World War II and portrays the destructive effects of war on the human spirit. When Tadeusz, a sensitive Pole who is fascinated with literature, meets Nina, a girl visiting the war camp, he realizes that he will have to begin his life over again.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars A Haunting and Memorable Film That Takes Place After WWII .......2004-12-23

"Landscape After Battle" (1970; Krajobraz Po Bitwie) is a haunting and memorable film directed by Andrzej Wajda that takes place just after World War II. The film is based on several short stories written by Tadeusz Borowski, who survived Auschwitz. The film begins with the Americans entering a concentration camp at the end of the war in 1945, freeing the prisoners. However, they are freed from one camp and placed into another -- this time guarded by the Americans deep inside Germany. Fearing the people held inside the Nazi camps would know no sense of law, the authorities caged them in another prison until they could decide what to do with them.

Tadeusz (played by Daniel Olbrychski) is an intellectual man who sorts through rubbish to find books to read and writes poetry. He befriends a Jewish woman named Nina in the new camp who fled Poland after the war. After talking, they decide to leave the camp to go for a walk in the woods. Once outside the camp, the two share their feelings and becomes physically intimate. Nina tells Tadeusz she would rather be anywhere, except for Poland. Tadeusz, after thinking long, decides Poland is his home and should return there. Both decide that they should reenter the camp for a while, but doing so creates a dramatic turn of events neither expected.

"Landscape After Battle" is a different type of war film, as it really starts with the war just ending. The viewers are exposed to some of the gritty details of the aftermath of war, as the name of the film suggests. The story is partially tragic, as are many Polish films, however, there is a powerful and artistic flair to the film. "Landscape After Battle" is a gem in the crown of achievement of Andrzej Wajda -- one that is sure to have several scenes that will leave you with lasting memories.

Friday is the rarest specimen of African American cinema: a 'hood movie refreshingly free of the semiseriousness and moralism of shoot 'em up soaps such as Boyz N the Hood, yet still true to the inner-city experience. Scripted by rapper Ice Cube, Friday is a no-frills tale of a typical day in the life of a pair of African American youth in South Central. Cube plays Craig, a frustrated teen who endures the ultimate humiliation: getting fired on his day off. Then unknown Chris Tucker plays Smokey, a marijuana-worshipping homeboy whose love for the green stuff lands him in predicament after predicament. Sitting on the stoop of Craig's rundown home, the two hilariously confront a kaleidoscopic array of gangbangers, weed dealers, crack heads, prostitutes, scheming girlfriends, and neighborhood bullies--all of whom, it should be noted, come off as sympathetic even as they are being caricatured, a true achievement in the crass, "booty call" environment of '90s African American comedy. --Ethan Brown

Ice Cube (Barbershop) uses his relaxed, raffish charm to glide through the third movie in his Friday series. As Craig (Cube) and Day-Day (Mike Epps) sleep in the wee hours of Christmas Eve, a burglar dressed like Santa Claus breaks in and steals their presents and rent. Thus begins a classically bad day full of unsympathetic family members, obnoxious neighbors, squealing pimps, pot smoking, and sexy babes. No one's going to win any awards for this sloppy installment, loaded with preening stereotypes and half-hearted low humor; Cube generally plays straight man and lets the rest of the cast screech, yowl, and contort their faces, their performances as ornate and ritualized as a Japanese Noh play. But if you're a fan, Friday After Next will give you a modest dose of Cube's goofy humor. John Witherspoon and Don "D.C." Curry return as Craig's eternally disgruntled father and uncle. --Bret Fetzer

    Description

In the tradition of Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises and featuring Susannah York, this sweeping dramatic series from Masterpiece Theatre--filmed on location in Paris, Israel, and Kenya--traces a complex friendship under fire during the post-war years.

"The first time I saw Joe Hirsch, it was as though he'd come to find me." So thinks young Michael Jordan when a refugee student from Nazi-occupied Europe arrives at St. George's School in England, 1942. Michael and Joe share little in common. Michael is from a middle-class English family, while Joe has known only fear and isolation in Europe. Eventually, their shared Jewish heritage creates a bond between them. Their paths cross repeatedly over the years as Michael becomes a successful writer and director and Joe, a powerful media mogul. They are "friendly enemies"--yet their rivalry takes on a dangerous tone when the love of one woman becomes the prize. One man is now willing to risk everything to win her for himself: the other will stop at nothing to prevent it.

1 out of 5 stars After the War.......2006-11-26

Totally ruined by the lack of Close Captioning. When will the Brititish learn?

5 out of 5 stars drama of mystique ..........2006-07-27

This series offers highly intelligent drama with all the characteristic subtleties of character and human foibles that British filmmaking captures so well. But the main point of my writing this review is to tell how unique this series is on two accounts.

First, the series intricately depicts a subtle ostracism of Jews who were not quite of age and not in Europe during World War II by those Jews who were of age and/or were in Europe. Also well depicted, somewhat allegorically, are the subtle (and not so subtle) prejudices and manipulations exercised against upper middle-class British Jews by British rank and society and the Allied forces.

Second, the series very well illustrates the mystique possessed by those who suffered the second world war actively or passively, and the effect of that mystique upon those who were sheltered from the war's harshest realities by age (if only a crucial few years), location, or social status.

This series would be heartfelt to anyone who has had (or still has) the good fortune to know someone who embodied the aforementioned mystique. It is true that those whose early lives were most defined by the war became possessed of a "brand" upon the personality that inspired instant curiosity and a certain reverence.

This series dramatizes this mystique through the relationship between the two main characters, the two Jewish boys, who grow to manhood, and who have little in common other than their heritage; however, it is their shared heritage that gives them parallel experiences of completely opposite details, including the details of their own dubious friendship, which spans close to thirty years.

Within the complex relationship between the two main characters is a further dramatization of this wartime mystique that involves a free-thinking young woman, a French Jew, Pierrette Levi, who, under Nazi occupation of France, witnessed not only the murder of her grandfather, her only relative, but suffered betrayal and yet had willing sexual involvement with her betrayer. For the one character, the rough Joe Hirsch, Pierrette represents his connection to all that he was forced to leave as a child refugee of Nazi-occupied Europe, and for the other character, the refined Michael Jordan, Pierrette represents the worldly, gritty attraction of events and experiences from which he was completely sheltered, in general, and throughout the war.

Both characters fall in love with Pierrette, though it is actually her mystique with which they fall in love, and through this mystique, it is actually the war - the war they never saw - with which they fall in love in the sense of romanticizing, though in opposite ways, even the war's ugliest realities.

The dialogue throughout this series carries weight and truth, much of it timeless and much historical, in every word - and in-between every word - listen closely!

    5 out of 5 stars Outstanding drama.......2003-04-13

For anyone who has enjoyed Brideshead Revisited or Lost Empires this is another example of superb drama not to be missed. Frederick Raphael and Granada TV have created a modern television masterpiece. The story is sophisticated and intelligent and the dialogue leaves one gasping at its astonishing wit.
I first saw AFTER the WAR some 18 years ago, it resonated with me then. After recently viewing it for the second time I can say that it lost has lost none of that original impression. I am delighted to own it so I can now watch it again whenever I like, and explore it further.
The acting is superb throughout and brilliantly cast, so it would be impossible to single out any names for mention. One last thing, the haunting theme music by Stephen Oliver is beautiful and a perfect match.

    4 out of 5 stars 2 greats and 1 skinflick.......2003-10-03

Okay, I'll assume that if you're here you already know somewhat of what you're in for. These are two Chiller Theatre reguars (perhaps I'll take this as an apology for what went on with the K. Gordon Murray collection...I want my Brainiac!) with an extremely oddball 1968 latin skinflick thrown in, which is actually a grade lower than "Curious Dr. Humph". Alpha offers 2 of these films but you know you're getting more bang for your buck here, no offense Alpha. With "Monstrosity" 3 girls are used as pawns by a body seeking crone and the doctor who is assisting her. Everything but the kitchen sink is in here, not bad for a flick that takes place in 4 rooms of a mansion. Atmosphere, bad acting and general insanity abound. The Spanish maid gets a cat brain and winds up on the roof just above the dogman - and here I thought we would have a good fight. Well, whatever... Mix the special effects of Hypnotic Eye with the good time cheese of Spider Baby, and this is what bubbles out. Next up we have "Love After Death", what looks to me to be a South American skinflick from 1968. Best special effect is the drag queen. Oh, and check out the miscasting of the dead guy's wife. Her, a virgin? Yeh; she's as pure as the driven snow... after it's been driven over a couple hundred times. Seems that her impotent man turns into a dynamo after he's buried- this guy rises from the grave in more ways than one!! But anyay, it looks like it was filmed in New Jersey for six bucks (check out the castle and you'll see what I mean. Can't find a castle, borrow a museum... (see Unhinged for more on that one. Nice little shock ending there, and actually was a fun little time spender. On to "Incredible Petrified World" another Chiller Theatre classic- just scanned through it as I have VHS from Sinister Cinema and have seen it a billion times. All I have to say is: see it for the lava. Pour whiskey on a cowpat and light, I guess...Gotta love this film. Also included are a slew of trailers and some great new music from Something Weird favorites The Dead Elvi. (If anyone reads this who can do something about it, how about an album or two on this website, it'd be much appreciated).
