This modern-day teen update of Les Liaisons Dangereuses suffered at the hands of both critics and moviegoers thanks to its sumptuous ad campaign, which hyped the film as an arch, highly sexual, faux-serious drama (not unlike the successful, Oscar-nominated Dangerous Liaisons). In fact, this intermittently successful sudser plays like high comedy for its first two-thirds, as its two evil heroes, rich stepsiblings Kathryn (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and Sebastian (Ryan Phillippe), blithely ruin lives and reputations with hearts as black as coal. Kathryn wants revenge on a boyfriend who dumped her, so she befriends his new intended, the gawky Cecile (Selma Blair), and gets Sebastian to deflower the innocent virgin. The meat of the game, though, lies in Sebastian's seduction of good girl Annette (a down-to-earth Reese Witherspoon), who's written a nationally published essay entitled "Why I Choose to Wait." If he fails, Kathryn gets his precious vintage convertible; if he wins, he gets Kathryn--in the sack. When the movie sticks to the merry ruination of Kathryn and Sebastian's pawns, it's highly enjoyable: Gellar in particular is a two-faced manipulator extraordinaire, and Phillippe, usually a black hole, manages some fun as a hipster Eurotrash stud. Most pleasantly surprising of all is Witherspoon, who puts a remarkably self-assured spin on a character usually considered vulnerable and tortured (see Michelle Pfeiffer in Dangerous Liaisons). Unfortunately, writer-director Roger Kumble undermines everything he's built up with a false ending that's true to neither the reconceived characters nor the original story--revenge is a dish best served cold, not cooked up with unnecessary plot twists. --Mark Englehart

Playing the game........2007-09-15
Cruel Intentions is a movie you have to see to believe. Sarah Michelle Gellar has never been more bitchy and Reese Witherspoon has never been more pure. Both of these beauties bring strength and humor to their roles and Ryan Philippe became a heartthrob after this movie was released, although he doesn't quite have much range as an actor then. This film is all about playing wicked games on the innocent which is Witherspoon's character, secrets come out and vengence is seeked. This film is sorta campy but very enjoyable. Can you say guilty pleasure? This is a must-see. Enjoy!
If you enjoy watching misery..........2007-08-31
The DVD includes scenes/dialogue that got edited in the airline/TV version that I saw previously. Sarah Michelle Gellar (I keep thinking 'Buffy' whenever I see her...) looks great in every scene and there are a few chuckles, but for the most part, it's a relatively dark plot with a few surprises and a lot of heartache...
Delightfully cruel.......2007-08-28
First-time director Roger Kumble concocts a wickedly attractive update of Dangerous Liaisons, this time set among rich and spoiled Manhattan teenagers. The screenplay is interesting, the settings are sumptuous and beautiful and the actors shine--with the exception of a sorely miscast Selma Blair, who looks like a thirty-year-old woman playing a five-year-old girl.
Ryan and Reese do it again.......2007-07-27
Fun Fun Fun! This is a movie that will have you on the edge of your seat! Great action and lots of drama! Thrilling with each passing minute! Hot, really hot scenes that steam up the car window if you like to watch movies on a DVD player in a car. I would recommend watching this while eating Ben and Jerry's Ice cream!
Changing Movies Forever.......2007-04-28
I absolutely loved this movie! There is just no getting around it, the plot is well developed and the twists and turns that happen in the movie are very well done. I think that the casting was done really well; Sarah Michelle Gellar can play the bitchy attitude very well and Reese Witherspoon has always had that innocent girl next door look about her. it is most certainly a movie that I think would have the most appeal to teenagers and people in their 20s.

The Rush St. Pierre is back!!!.......2007-06-27
Firs of all, let me start by saying that within the last 2 years I have become a huge fan of MMA, especially the UFC thanks to the energetic support from Spike TV making these events available and accesible to the masses; Not all the bouts in this event were great but just to have the Matt Hughes- St Pierre fight is totally worth the price; And even though St. Pierre is no longer the Welterweght champion, he is a well rounded fighter and I hope to see more of him in this sport; Solid effort by Zuffa distributing these dvds,
Long live the UFC
Good Card.......2007-06-10
This card really does have some bad intentions. The fights are as follows--Frank Mir vs. Brandon Vera, Alessio Sakara vs. Drew McFedries, Joe Stevenson vs. Dokonjonosuke Mishima, Nick Diaz vs. Gleison Tibau, Antoni Hardonk vs. Sherman Pendergarst, Hector Ramirez vs. James Irvin, Josh Schockman vs. Jake O'Brien. With a Sylvia vs Monson Heavyweight title fight and a Hughs vs St. Pierre Welterweight title fight. Every fight is a submission or exciting knockout save for the O'Brien/Schockman and Sylvia/Monson fights. Both of those can be fast forwarded since they are real snoozers. The others are all terrific and some highlight real events happen. This is a good event to add to your collection.
Product Description
Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Phillippe sizzle as a pair of unscrupulous siblings in a deliciously sexy tale of seduction, revenge and conquest. After cleverly seducing and ruining the reputation of an unsuspecting classmate (Selma Blair, Can't Hardly Wait), the sparks fly when Kathryn (Gellar) poses the ultimate challenge to her insatiable stepbrother Sebastian (Phillippe): deflower the Headmaster's beautiful, virgin daughter Annette (Reese Witherspoon). If he fails, Kathryn gets his most prized possession, but if hesucceeds, Sebastian gets to possess and bed Kathryn. The stakes are high, but for Sebastian, the payoff is feverishly irresistible and before the summer's over, no one will escape their relentless game of cat and mouse until one of them is bitten by the most unlikely sensation of all ...love.

naughty, naughty, naughty.......2007-06-27
Sarah Michelle Gellar playing the bad guy.....yummy. So used to her as the heroin and now to see her portray a sizzling and seductive character. In my eyes, she can do no wrong. And now, this tantalizing twisted flick hits the high-def arena, I jumped to see Gellar in all her glory. Sony's recent blu-ray releases are blessed with all the bells and whistles and spares no expense in providing them on dual-layer disks. The picture looks fabulous and included an uncompressed 5.1 PCM track to my listening pleasure. All I can say is, sit back and enjoy the ride.

There's a reason you haven't heard of this straight-to-video "sequel" to the seamy teen romp that had Ryan Phillippe baring his polished behind: it's twice as bad as the first one and is only worth a look to see just how embarrassingly buttless it can get. Writer-director Roger Kumble's original was no classic, Lord knows, but at least the game, nubile cast knew how to smack its lips--his follow-up (which, in tamer form, was to be the pilot for a proposed series called Manchester Prep) can't even pout properly. Phillippe's Sebastian character (here played by a bland, doughy Robin Dunne) is carted back out to be reintroduced to scheming stepsister Kathryn, enacted by a woefully unsexy Amy Adams (Sarah Michelle Gellar played Sebastian's ripe cousin in the first film). The two don't hit it off, and Sebastian--far more sentimental than his big-screen counterpart--immediately decides he's all for love, in the form of pristine deb Danielle (Sarah Thompson). It all amounts to a ponderously cartoonish nothing, including a twist ending that renders everything proceeding it completely incomprehensible. Kumble has the film spouting homilies on love and self-esteem, then randomly throws in bare breasts; it's like a horny Saved by the Bell, without the kick or pacing of good camp. --Steve Wiecking
Customer Reviews:
Really Cruel.......2007-07-08
It is absolutely cruel to have anyone endure watching this movie. It is the worst movie that I have ever seen. The ending was so disappointing that it will be hard for me to get excited about seeing another movie. It was filled with pointless nudity, profanity, sexual explotation, and there was no redeeming value in anyone in the movie. One is not a low enough rating for this movie. It was a waste of effort and money for those who had any attachment to it.There was one charater prone to choke or puke throughout the movie and at the end i felt like doing both!
First movie is ALWAYS the best one than the second movie.......2007-04-16
This movie is pretty odd and little mix-up parts but it's ALMOST the same as the first movie. I always like the first movie better than this one. I ordered this movie because of Keri Lynn Pratt and that I really loved the first one and I was hoping this movie would be great one but it's not. I still have this movie but I hardly watch this movie because my boyfriend really love this movie so I dont bother sell it. Our things is ours so. I am warning you guys dont order this movie unless you REALLY want to see it then go rent a movie BEFORE you order it!! Save your money!!
up, down, back and forward, faster, faster.......2006-07-02
3 stars for the scene with Kery Lynn Pratt and the horse. Also
Amy Adams is to die for
Just horrible.......2005-10-14
I've seen the first Cruel Intentions, which I didn't like very much. Compared to this movie, the original looks like Casablanca. I watched this one on DVD. You can see why it's direct to video. i understand the characters are the same because it is a prequel. But the dialog and plot were virtually the same. What do you get with this one: cheap exploitation, racial sterotypes, and a ridiculous, unfathomable ending which is cut off all too soon.
First one=intriguing, second one=biggest mistake ever, third one= redemption.......2005-09-05
Now the Second one is pretty bad and tries too hard to be as good as the first. It is very hard to create a sequel as good as the first but this one certainly proves that point. Jurassic park two Lost world is worth it compared to this one. don't even waste the $3.00.
Customer Reviews:
Don't read other reviews.......2007-08-11
I've only heard bad things about this movie. But it is truely three times the fun of the first - and I loved that film. Highly reccommended - Buy this - NOW!
Melissa Yvonne Lewis?.......2005-12-02
I watch this bec. or Melissa Yvonne Lewis, remember Joe Schmoe where she play the rich bitch, she did a superb job on that show, but on this movie, her acting is just a mediocre.
on the movie - just average, very predictable, nothing really exciting
This film sucks.......2005-10-14
Two guys at a college prep school make wagers on seducing naive young girls, and then meet their match when they agree to see which one can seduce the most popular and devious girl who has her own agenda to everything. I think this film is really sucks but I loved Cruel Intentions 1 and CI2 but this film sucked.
a worthy sequel.......2005-03-13
This movie was a worthy sequel to the original installment. They were clever, and didn't use different actors for the same charactesr, which almost always is a disaster (the exception, imo, would be Scarlet, the sequel to Gone With The Wind). Instead, they focused on Katherine's cousein, Cassidy, who's very worthy of being a successor, and her malevolent friend, Jason. The movie is charming, and has its own, different, plot. The ending is particularly good, because of the double-twist. The really interesting thing is that you're actually rooting for Cassidy and Jason to get together, and they do in a way.
The background music in this movie is normally good, and fits with the mood. However, it doesn't have something as awesome as Verge's Bitter Sweet Symphony.
If you liked this movie, I'd recommend reading Choderos de Laclos' book: it's a classic. I'd also recommend Marquis de Sade's _Juliette_.
Surprising. . ........2004-12-20
I bought this only because i loved the first one, hoping it wasn't as terrible as the second. After i watched it i was so impressed. First of all i loved that it really didn't have anything to do with the first, aside from Cassidy being Katherine's cousin, and sharing the same last name (there is only one reference to Katherine and Sebastian in the beginning). It is much better than having different actors playing old characters, which drags a movie down alot. I thought the story was great, with good twists. The whole cast is very attractive, which can't hurt either. The "bad" characters are all pretty likeable, aside from one, and all is well in the end. The best thing about this movie is the character Cassidy. I sarted out hating her, and ended up really liking her for her realness, and honesty she does not try to hide that she is a b*tch. This actress does a particularly good job, pulling off both loveable, and complete brat at the same time. I would definetly reccomend this movie.
Description
"Man is superior to the stars if he lives in the power of superior wisdom. Such a person, being master over heaven and earth, by means of his will, is a magnus, and magic is not sorcery but supreme wisdom." Paracelsus, "Magick is the art and science of causing change in accordance with the will by non-physical means. " Aleister Crowley "Everything is impossible.., untill you learn how to do it." Zachary James Miller, Ph. D It has been said that every known culture in the history of the world has described the existence of a life force energy within and around the human body that can be directed or manipulated by the mind. It has been called chi (Chinese), ki (Japanese), prana (Indian), mana (Hawaiian), pneuma (stoics), spritus (Roman), rlung (Tibetan), More recently we've heard the terms: subtle energy, the field, bioenergy, zero point field and the force. In this 90 minute lecture Dr. Miller explores this mysterious energy and the links between ancient wisdom and modern day science using his life long study of the esoteric and science as his basis. He explains his theory regarding manipulation of this energy through consciousness. Topics include : Consciousness, Energy Medicine, Direct and Distant Healing, Remote Influencing, Various Uses of Subtle Energy, Development and Maximizing of Bioenergetic Powers, and Expanding Human Potential Zachary James Miler, Ph.D is a therapist, parapsychologist, lecturer, and filmmaker. As director of The Enigma Group he has called upon his lifelong study and personal experience in examining the unexplained. The former psychotherapist and holistic health counselor has also since earliest childhood been interested in all things unusual, paranormal, supernatural and unexplained. He is a magus and bioenergetic healer and is a former member of the O.T.O. (Ordo Templi Orientis) magical order. His interest in the brain and the mind developed his interest in psychology but long before his work as a therapist he had a fascination for, as William James put it, "the uncharted realms of the human consciousness" which led him to look deeply at the work and life of some Hindu yogis and their remarkable powers and then begin his own intense study, training, and research. Customer Reviews:
Cheap video.......2007-07-08
Being a lifelong student of metaphysics and occult philosophy, the title of this production intrigued me. I was very disappointed to see that it was a cheaply produced video done in a lecture hall. The speaker used an overhead projector with sloppily handwritten points on them. From the beginning, the points were glossed over, with the speaker reading directly from the slides on many occasions. Any serious student of magick will find no new information in this video, and in fact will be quite disappointed in the basic and superficial treatment of concepts such as intention and universal law. Beginners will be confused by the way the information is presented.
Condemn Condemning.......2006-12-28
This video is profound, and what I'd consider a must watch for anyone studying the way to their highest potential. It places much focus on the powers of intention at its highest and best, by highlighting the miracles and the mirages of intentionality.
If your spirit is a hungry sponge, soak this one up immediately.

After years of spiritual study and reflection, inspirational speaker and bestselling author Wayne Dyer has emerged a highly esteemed teacher. His current message about tapping into the power of intention may sound like good old positive thinking: just stay focused on what you want, rather than focusing on the lack of having what you want. But the teaching here goes deeper than just controlling thoughts (although he does acknowledge that thought control is a surprisingly challenging and significant endeavor). This book might help readers land a better job, but it's more relevant for those who are ready to detach from an ego-driven life filled with quick fixes of happiness and step into a more authentic, joyful, and spiritually fulfilling life. His core teachings speak to tapping into a universal source of energy that can also be called the "power of intention." He calls people who are consciously co-creating with this energy source "connectors" and describes them as "individuals who have made themselves available for success...They don't say With my luck things won't work out. Instead, you're more likely to hear something like, I intend to create this and I know it will work out." Connectors are also committed to Dyer's "seven faces of intention"--creativity, kindness, love, beauty, expansion, abundance and receptivity, which he speaks to throughout the book. Each chapter concludes with five suggestions for becoming stronger connectors, such as how to monitor one's inner speech or shift out of low-energy beliefs. Some criticize Dyer for not giving credit to other teachers who offer this same message, especially Jerry and Esther Hicks (A New Beginning I) and even Ralph Waldo Emerson. It's impossible to know whether this was a deliberate omission, but it is obvious that Dyer has tapped into a growing conversation about co-creating with "source." Other leading-edge voices in this conversation include Eckhart Tolle (The Power of Now), Shakti Gawain (Creative Visualization ) and Lynn Grabhorn (Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting). --Gail Hudson

In

To accomplish this, Dr. Dyer takes the audience through a journey into the seven faces of intention: (1) creativity, (2) kindness; (3) love, (4) beauty, (5) expansiveness, (6) abundance, and (7) receptivity.

Customer Reviews:
I enjoyed this book very much........2007-09-06
Wayne Dyer is my favorite "self help/inspirational" teacher. He lays everything out in great detail, with wonderful examples and stories intertwined. This book personally changed my life. I cannot recommend Dr. Dyer's material enough. I also enjoy his companion cds.
Great Read!.......2007-09-05
Absolutely great author. I can't say enough about him. I gleaned something new from each chapter of this book and it's even helped me better articulate my feelings of the afterlife.
Awe some reading!.......2007-08-31
Every one can benifit from reading this inspiring and informative book!
It is life changing!
It All Starts With Your Intention.......2007-08-30
People underestimate the power of their intentions, the power of their dreams, the power of their goals and visions. In this popular book by Wayne Dyer you will learn how your desires set the whole universe in motion toward the fulfillment of whatever it is you want to have, do, or be in life. And Dr. Dyer offers practical guidelines for consciously participating in this co-creative process. This is a great book if you find THE SECRET too shallow, or have a hard time accepting the "source" of the information found in ASK AND IT IS GIVEN. It also makes a great pair with another book I love along these same lines called Row, Row, Row Your Boat: A Guide For Living Life In The Divine Flow . . . a book that is even easier to understand and more down-to-earth than most of Wayne Dyer's work.
A good read, albiet a bit long winded........2007-08-28
I respect Wayne Dyer, he has done amazing good in his lifetime. This will be the first book I have read of his and found it a bit average in general. Manifestation of intent is am amazing gift to humanity, but this book merely scratches the service of it, doesn't get into the mechanics of the law surrounding it, and is a bit too preachy and feel goody for me.
I already understood the Law of Attraction, and wanted more mechanics and brass tacks of the operating principles of it, and I didn't find that in this book. You'll find that in Seth or Hicks books instead. What I found in this book was overall a fairly inspiration read that I would rate for beginning spiritual seekers only. Anyone already in the advanced vibration won't find much of anything new here.
Recommended with reservation for beginner spiritual seekers or those very new to manifesting intent.

Movement Meditation.......2007-09-11
If you are seeking a "killer workout" you must look elsewhere. This is no more killer than a brisk walk. Also, if you do not feel comfortable with affirmations such as "every day in every way I am, I'm better, I'm better yes!" then look elsewhere. So why the five stars? Because it is an excellent motivational movement meditation.
I am an advanced home exerciser. I use Jari Love's Get Ripped! series Get Ripped! with Jari Love: Get Ripped 1000 and the Firm for weight days, Gin Miller's Intense Moves Step Reebok: Intense Movesand Karen Voight for cardio and Shiva Rea and Brian Kest for Yoga three days a week. I love them all but I did not have great results until I started using this DVD once a day. This DVD inspires me and gets me motivated so that when I am doing my other workouts I can remain focused on the task at hand by using the affirmations. It also helps me in my personal life since I can call upon the affirmations when I am working towards my personal goals.
I love this DVD because although I want to meditate and do have meditation DVD's, I just cannot sit there and think. I get fidgety and uncomfortable. By integrating movement and meditation (or affirmations) I can start my day focused, refreshed and positive.
I Do Not Get It.......2007-07-21
I didnt like this workout at all. I read all the reviews and dont understand all the high ratings. Not at all what I was expecting.
Fast-paced aerobics & toning w/affirmations.......2007-07-15
I loved Patricia Moreno's energy on her two dance dvds: Dance for weight loss & Dancer's body. She gives great cues, detailed, never misses a single important thing to teach & patient teaching. She always show you slow at first so you can understand, then she goes into hyper speed.
This dvd, though I love her, I dislike the moves, they seem to 80s aerobics style with only a hint of yoga, fighting moves, etc. The moves do stretch, but I feel they don't do anything but burn calories.
The 5 min warms up has simple hand movements & a lot of reaching up & down.
The upper body 15 min, has a lot of hand movements, hand jive, fake jump roping, shoulder circles & luckily nice amount of punching though she doesn't give cues on proper punching technique. This is done at hyper speed once learned which means you will drip with sweat like Patricia & the backup men & women do.
The lower body, 20 min, has some balancing, simple kicks (not martial arts kicking) some modified yoga warrior poses, lunges with yoga mudra hands. This is done more slowly for toning & since you'd have to have great balance & coordination of a yoga teacher to do it fast paced.
The end Yoga stretch has triangle, shoulder stretch, wide legged standing fwd bend, twisted sitting pose, butterfly, boat & ends in corpse, meditation with her giving affirmations the entire time. She gives great cuing for proper foot/body placement for all poses.
I love her energy, but she seems a little too earnest & never has any quiet time w/just the music even for 10 seconds. The music is beautiful tribal beat with spiritual harmonics but it kinda only melts into the back of your mind from trying to pay attention to Patricia's constant speaking. I love the words she chooses, but it is better to allow the person to assimilate what you say before speaking more.
If you want to increase your body's energy with affirmations & increase your constitution, try Tantra Toning or Kundalini yoga.
Since it's obvious she's experienced in martial arts & yoga, I'd love to see Patricia do this idea with a little less talking & more emphasis w/o it being watered down of healing arts like yoga, qi gong, kundalini or kick boxing with attention to good posture/technique.
You can see a preview at collagevideo com
She also has a site at intensati com
She does it again!.......2007-04-15
Love, love, love Patricia Moreno! This video is excellent! Intensati is an amazing workout, though a little cheesy/corney at first. But, once you get into the affirmations (even if you don't believe them wholeheartedly), the workout gets easier and is really fun. Patricia Moreno is an excellent instructor, and she really helps you get into the chanting and movements. And the moves, though they are uncomplicated, really work (they left my muscles sore the day after!) And if you haven't checked out her other two videos, I would highly recommend doing so - they are my favorite workout videos, and I use them regularly to stay in shape, have fun, and escape from my hectic life. Patricia Moreno is awesome, and I highly recommend any video she comes out with!
I LOVE PATRICIA!.......2007-04-14
This is a great DVD and I've used it for a while now. Patricia is one of the few trainers I like--and I love her positive spin on working out (Lord knows I need all the help I can get!)
I love her dance DVD too! After reading her feature in Fitness this month, she's even more of an inspiration!

Customer Reviews:
But what about my ACTING? No! Our RELATIONSHIP! No! My DIRECTING.......2006-01-17
90 percent of the dialogue in this film consists of three words: ACTING, RELATIONSHIP, DIRECTING
Heroine:"But what about my ACTING?"
Girlfriend:"You only think about ACTING! What about our RELATIONSHIP! Oh No! You're going to start ACTING again."
Audience: Oh no! She is. Make them all stop ACTING.
Heroine:"But When I'm ACTING I feel alive."
Girlfriend of Actress:"But what about our RELATIONSHIP?"
Jilted husband:"But what about our RELATIONSHIP?"
Cheating wife:"You don't care about our RELATIONSHIP! You just don't have any faith in my DIRECTING?"
Heroine:"But what about my ACTING?"
And yes, what about the ACTING? And DIRECTING?
This film provides some of the most inept examples of either I have ever been unfortunate enough to witness. The most abysmal scene, however, comes without dialogue. It's the love scene, in which the two women go through every clumsily lit pose in the love scene compendium, arched backs and silhouettes, all set to an atrocious song which goes something like
"strangeeers....loooooversss."
This film is one of those horrors where you seriously question your own ability to judge. If they didn't know they were making something this bad, does anyone?
Beck's Intentions captures the heart of the moment.......2005-05-04
"I've had that conversation before!" "I feel like she's telling my life story" are just a few of the many positive comments I heard when watching this movie with a group of friends. Beck manages to beautifully capture a simple but honest story about discovering ones sexuality and risking it all to figure out what you want and who you are. The lead actresses are superb without being over the top, and the story is nicely paced. I think most people (particularly women) will enjoy this movie, regardless of their sexuality.
