Tense and absorbing Noir!.......2006-07-07
Double crosses, betrayal, jealous, greed and double moral join forces in this sinister and well made thriller where there is an interesting personage, a sort of unlucky gangster, living in shame due a tragic fact (Denis Hopper is perfect in this role).
This modern Noir but smartly adapted in those times where the dense brume of the memories and the fatality hover on this lonely city, where the roller coaster is the main attraction of this attractions park; curious and emblematic metaphor, because all the taken decisions must be done against time. This perspective is brilliant and original.
On the other hand, the script works out as a huge watch mechanism; the edition process and the narrative rhythm is a real pleasure to see.
A film that, fortunately, surpassed all my previous expectations. It would be advisable to many producers to take into account this promissory director.
GINA -WHEN WILL YOU BE GIVEN A GOOD SCRIPT !.......2006-04-03
This film is AWFUL! Once again Hollywood misuses the amazing talents of that "MOST BEAUTIFUL and SENSUAL" of actresses,GINA GERSHON.LOVED GINA but HATED the film/THe two-star rating was for GINA,she is ALWAYS GREAT.

If you didn't know better, you'd think that the masterminds behind Whose Line Is It Anyway? and Chicago's Second City improv troupe plotted to create Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'N Out Season One, one of MTV's highest-rated shows. On each episode of Wild 'N Out, two comedic teams are pitted against each other. The Red Squad is led by the charismatic Cannon, who's also a film and recording star. The Black Squad is fronted by celebrity guests predominantly of the hip-hop and rap kind (Kanye West, Method Man, Rev Run of Run-DMC). Each participant has to outdo his opposing team members. Sometimes they're given props to work with. Most of the time, they rely only on their imaginations.
The highlight of each episode is the WildStyle segment in which opposing team members freestyle against each other. Some of their rhymes fall into the "your mama" category. But others are better crafted and no one--not even Cannon--is immune to being taken down a few pegs. The impish Mikey Day is particularly fond of needling his employer: "You're our boss, you're a talented kid / I saw Love Don't Cost A Thing, too bad nobody else did." Castmate Rasika Mathur often is the target of rhymes slamming her Indian heritage, but she has the fortitude and skill to verbally annihilate her offenders. One of the best extras in this set is an extended WildStyle, including hilarious and often biting exchanges that were cut from the original airing.
The musical performances aren't included on this boxed set, but--occasional awkward editing aside--that's not a negative. The frustrating aspect, though, is that while the DVD is touted as an uncensored release, there's so much bleeping during some segments that viewers can only guess at what the players are saying. --Jae-Ha Kim

not what i expected.......2006-08-24
I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the show itself. I love this show, and watch it every chance I get. I bought the "UNCENSORED" First Season of the show, because I got tired of all the bleeps during the show on TV. Well this is the most censored-uncensored show I have ever seen. They bleep just as much out during the UNCENSORED DVD, as they do in the show.
Good show.......2006-06-16
This show is really funny. I would recommend this show to anyone who wants to have a good laugh. People with good sense of humor will really like this show. The show can be watched live.
Very enjoyable... [BUT]... could've been ALOT better!.......2006-04-12
I know it's been a common complaint among users, but yeah it bugged me enough to put out my two cents in. When i purchased the DVD box, i expected UNCENSORED performances. Since the vast majority of the comedy is verbal, it's upsetting when you don't know what the comedians are saying with their punch-lines being bleeped out. It leaves you trying to figure out the missing lines which COMPLETELY defeats the purpose of watching improv comedy.
Moreover, the missing musical acts takes alot away from the show, too. As soon as the final act/game is over, it cuts out leaving the showing feeling like it's been rushed toward completion. On top of that, i'd really really like to SEE some of these acts (ie. T.I., Cassidy) so why the HECK not?!
To sum things up.. it was a GREAT watch. Some really funny stuff, and decent extras... but why not get the WHOLE deal when you pay the price for just that? In the end... i still feel deceived and ripped off.
Boo nick cannon. Boo.
Nick Cannon is funnier than ever.......2006-03-31
Nick, you're so funny on Wild and Out, your show is the most hilarious on the planet. I like Affion Crockett and DeRay Davis and with such a funny show, my class wants me on, since they think I'm $O funny. Your DVD is really good, and I can't wait until season 2. Wild and out is not comedy or reality. It's a reality that it has such good comedy. Who're you going to have in season 3?
A review on Wild and out DVD season 1 uncenscored.......2006-03-30
Wild and out is illest improv comedy from downtown L.A.'s top of the charts. It is recommended. Now if you want to buy it for your kids, you may re-consider it. It has some racism and if you're 14 or younger you might consider watching it with your parents. OR I guess you can be mature. Sometimes people get naked too. So as an uncenscored DVD some content is not appropriate for your children. I still recommend you buying it. If you like gotham comedy, the funniest on the planet.

Hunting Season.......2007-04-12
Low-quality movie, but the 3-D works pretty well in some scenes and very well in other ones (a lot of flicker and some blurriness, however). There are some excellent 3-D scenes, including one where the star is preparing a poison arrow for revenge. This is a good movie to get if you are a field-sequential 3-D movie buff and don't mind some eyestrain...
ED WOODS HUNTING SEASON.......2006-01-26

bargin bin pink labled for .27cents and I feel I've been
ripped off.
Nothing original but an improvement on 'Camp Blood'.......2004-11-18
I was stuck between 2 or 3 stars and gave 'Hunting Season' the benefit of the doubt. This is a double-sided DVD with a field-sequential 3D version on one side and a regular 2D version on the other. If you are not familiar with field-sequential 3D, it is a system which uses LCD shutter glasses which alternate left eye, right eye, in synch with the image on your TV screen so each eye only sees the perspective image for that eye which produces an illusion of a 3D image (all 3D images cause the brain to produce an illusion of depth when each eye is presented with the same image from a different perspective). I have recently acquired a set of shutter glasses since I wrote this review and must say that I am quite impressed with the 3D effect. It produces quite a bit of depth with a clean image (of course depending on the quality of the video) and out-of-box effects (the 3D effect of an object coming out of the screen). I must say that I am much less impressed with the headache inducing flickering of the glasses, but that effect may vary by manufacturer (since this is the only set I have, I do not know if there is any variance or not). Manufacturers and sellers of the field-sequential equipment like to have people believe that this is a recent cutting edge technique. This, however, is just a revamping of the Teleview system which was introduced in 1922 to selected theatres and died the same year due to the expense of the equipment. The expense of the shutter glasses makes it impractical for all but solo viewing. The DVD of 'Hunting Season' introduces a lie right on the DVD package: filmed in true stereoscopic 3D. This video was shot using either a special camcorder to capture field sequential video or a camcorder fitted with a field-sequential lens; it was not done on film. 'Hunting Season' was made by the same people who made 'Camp Blood' and is an improvement in many ways. The first noticeable improvement is in lighting and contrast. Either by accident or design, this video was shot mostly on overcast days, which produces a much better image than direct sunlight. Their interior lighting is much improved. The quality of the video is much better than 'Camp Blood' which was quite pixilated. The quality of the acting is about the same, but better than I would expect from such a low budget production. They learned a few things about camerawork. Although there are still quite a few jumpy handheld shots, they do experiment with some better techniques. Where 'Hunting Season' picks up is in its pace and its action sequences. It is much better paced and does not drag like its predecessor. The special effects pretty much varied from good to crappy (the scene where a CPR dummy is thrown down a hillside is absolutely hilarious). Where they have not improved is in the consistency of their audio level (they need to learn how to record background noise and dialogue seperately). 'Hunting Season' is a simple story of a woman who is raped and her boyfriend beaten by hunters in the woods. While her boyfriend is in the hospital, she decides to become Rambo and effect revenge. Although some would say this is a copy of 'I Spit On Your Grave', it is not. This was most likely inspired by the 1976 movie 'Revenge for a Rape' which starred Mike Connors, since it apes a good bit of the plot of that movie. 'Hunting Season' is not by any means great, but it does maintain a good pace and entertain for its 72 minute runtime.-Bob

Customer Reviews:
A Lesbian Romance.......2007-05-13
Though the lighting and overall atmospheric quality in the movie lack a certain quality, Joy Kelly comes forward as an actor with an amazing amount of class. Her portrayal of Roberta holds a ring of truth to a quiet woman who truly knows her sexuality without the flamboyance of some of the other characters. This is an actor who deserves many more expansive roles. The other characters seem much more like caricatures. It carries a fairly simple romance plot which could have been delved into deeper and some of the characters more explored. I believe if the quality of the lighting and filming was stronger this would stand as a a fine gay film. As it stands it will be a fine television film.
RENT DON'T BUY.......2004-04-09
This was an okay movie. Just okay, not horrible not, just okay. I liked the camera work and Roberta and Mickey are easy on the eye.
The straight diner owner Shelly was annoying sometimes and I saw too much of her. Roberta's best friend was interesting for the too few moments she was in the movie. That's a character that should have been given more air time. Not often do I see a black lesbian with straight black friends.
Mickey bordered on being a stereotype leather wearing dyke. Heavy smoking, heavy coffee drinker ... come on, give it a break. Knew a lot about her, and her friends. Her friends were fun.
Midway the movie takes a long nap coming to terms with Uncle Charlie's illness. It doesn't become sad it goes to deep sleep. It falsely moves the Mickey-Roberta relationship forward.
Bedroom scene was nice, safe and sweatless. It did not make me want to hit the rewind button. The movie picked up a little after that.
Why is it so hard to amke a quality lesbian film.......2003-12-17
This film lacked storyline and acting talent...and something occured in the transfer from either film or video to DVD which added insult to injury. The story represents it self as sexy, there was no chemistry between the actors. The script was so unrealistic, I cringed during the dialogue....I didn't mind the efforts of the director of photography but the work was harmed in either editing or transfer..The movie does not flow,,,Is it hard to make a quality lesbian film? "A Family Affair" and "Aimee and Jaguar" are two of the best films to come out in the last 5 years in this genre...why don't these "hobby" filmakers view these better films for instant film school in how to write a screen play and direct a film...just cause one has money to make a film there are better investments than putting it behind poor filmakers...The talent is out there...This is not a fair representation of lesbian filmaking...nor a good film
NOT A GOOD FILM AND IT WILL NEVER BE IN SEASON..........2003-12-10
Not good, boring, poor acting and writing, well advertised sex scene was less than a soap opera in the afternoon...(ok 2 women that was the big difference?)
No more time to waste on this one...rent it first do not buy it until you see it once...This film will never be in season
Poor transfer.......2003-03-22
The DVD only has two chapters. One takes up about a minute, the rest consists of the entire film.

Combines two other sports movie giftsets plus 8 additional films.......2007-03-17
This bundle combines two very good sports giftsets:
The Grand Slam Giftset -(Bull Durham/Pride of the Yankees/Eight Men Out/Jackie Robinson Story)
Sports Giftset - (Bull Durham / Hoosiers / Raging Bull / Rocky )
This total of seven movies are five star films, and if your interests are mainly baseball, or you prefer the finest films from several sports, you might be better off getting just one of these two giftsets. However, this Ultimate Sports Giftset also has several good films not included in these other two giftsets, such as the more watchable sequels in the Rocky series - Rocky II and Rocky III, along with That Championship Season, and Diggstown, which is an unusual vehicle for James Woods and Lou Gossett Jr. that did end up working well for both of them. Also included is a rarely seen documentary film from 1970 entitled "AKA Cassius Clay", which has Ali talking about his career with his usual verbal wit along with some great footage of Ali's early career fights.
Finally, there are three films in the turkey category that get slipped into the total package. "Monkey on My Back" is a 1957 film that was supposed to be about fighter Barney Ross. The movie is bad, but the accuracy must have been even worse, because Ross sued the producers of this film over the content and won. "Body and Soul" is not the classic version starring John Garfield. Instead this is the poor 1998 pseudo-remake. There's plenty of bad acting to go around in this movie, and even the good actors seem to think they're all performing in different films. Worst of the pack is the 2002 version of Rollerball. Like many of the 23-year-olds that make today's films, the producers of this remake of the 1975 classic just don't get that the original was great because of its portrayal of futuristic society, not because of violent action scenes. Weighing the good with the bad, this set is probably worth purchasing for the 12 good films in the bunch.
