WHY??????.......2007-09-10
Until this I thought Derailed was the worst film EVER. Boy was I WRONG. Dialogue, Direction, Acting... HORRIFIC. A Giant mess from first to last. Hitchcock was turning in his grave. And the ending? WHY
Perfect Stranger with Halle Berry, Bruce Willis.......2007-09-09
Oh my goodness this is a MUST SEE MOVIE! It was a great thriller, story line, keep you on edge of your seat. It was very well done, had great plot. You will be glued to the screen!
Crap...............what more can I say................2007-09-08
This movie was crap, crap and more crap. Oh, and did I mention it was crap. I would give this movie zero stars if I could.
From Halle Berry's over-acting, numerous close-ups, to Bruce Willis' stoic face. This movie should never have left the editing room except in the trash can.
Berry's performance in Catwoman was worth an Oscar compared to her portrayal in this forgetable farce.
It's like the writers got together and said who is the person you least expect to have committed the murder? Well, of course, the person you have investigating it.......lets make them the killer.
Just plain dumb.
Not perfect by far, but better than you've heard.......2007-09-08
I'd heard this movie was a waste
Badly done and in poor taste
I bought it with indecent haste
(Along with staples, mints and paste)
It started oh, so very well
With people playing kiss and tell
But then something began to smell
Before the final curtain fell
Seems everybody has inside
Something that they'd rather hide
And if this movie is a guide
Be careful in whom you confide
While chatting on the internet
There's something you should not forget
Strangers are a constant threat
So don't do things you might regret
Halle Berry sifts the lies
That lead to an old friend's demise
There are some things you can't disguise
If you look deep into her eyes
I found that it was rather gripping
Though by the end the plot was slipping
I'm glad I didn't opt for skipping
But happy that I paid no shipping

Wha-Huh?.......2007-09-07
Well, holy crap. This film was perfectly decent and kept its suspense and intrigue going...right up until the last ten minutes, where an ending from a completely different movie seems to be tacked on as a "twist ending" meant to surprise. It does succeed in surprising, but that's only because it makes absolutely no sense. The ending single-handedly destroys anything this film had going for it, which wasn't a whole lot to begin with, regardless of the performances. This is honestly a decent, well-acted movie to watch...only if you stop the film at the hour and a half mark and then make up your own ending yourself. Trust me, it'll be ten times better than what transpires here.

Ocean's Eleven improves on 1960's Rat Pack original with supernova casting, a slickly updated plot, and Steven Soderbergh's graceful touch behind the camera. Soderbergh reportedly relished the opportunity "to make a movie that has no desire except to give pleasure from beginning to end," and he succeeds on those terms, blessed by the casting of George Clooney as Danny Ocean, the title role originated by Frank Sinatra. Fresh out of jail, Ocean masterminds a plot to steal $163 million from the seemingly impervious vault of Las Vegas's Bellagio casino, not just for the money but to win his ex-wife (Julia Roberts) back from the casino's ruthless owner (Andy Garcia). Soderbergh doesn't scrimp on the caper's comically intricate strategy, but he finds greater joy in assembling a stellar team (including Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, and Carl Reiner) and indulging their strengths as actors. The result is a film that's as smooth as a silk suit and just as stylish. --Jeff Shannon

The best out of the trilogy.......2007-08-31
*Spoilers*
Other than being a parade of Hollywood's hunkiest. Ocean Eleven has a good, solid story. Danny Ocean fresh out of the joint can't take being on the straight and narrow, plus he wants his wife back. Lucky for him and his gang-she just so happens to be dating a powerfully rich casino owner. Instead of taking his anger and frustration out of her, he figures the way to win her back is to rob her boyfriend and prove to her that the casino owner would choose his money over her. Is this even a question? We're not talking about $20. Daniel was trying to steal 163 million dollars. Not to betray my sex, but no woman is worth that amount of money. And it's an unfair question because Daniel would most likely choose the money too. Because by his own question, he could have given it back and simply taken Tess. But that minor fact seems to escape Tess and she goes running back to her hubby. Other than, this is a slick sort of hustle from a team that should be in the circus. Overall: Highly recommended.
Once upon a time..................2007-08-14
Once Upon A Thyme, children, there was a movie called "Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring." It was a movie based on a 50 year-old book of the same name, which had 2 sequels. Those 2 books were also made into movies, and those 3 movies were very very very good, and all was right with the world.
THEN ... The Powers That Bee decided that because those 3 movies were so very good (and so very profitable) then ALL successful movies must now come in threes: and lo and behold we had 3 XMens, 3 Spidermans, 3 Austin Powers, 3 Pirates, and of course 3 Oceans. Never mind the fact that the "Rings" movies came in a trilogy because the original novels came that way. None of these sequels had any reason for being, other than the first movie made a lot of money. And in every single case, the third movie was the worst of the bunch, the inspiration and steam that made the first movie a success long, long gone.
This is an olde, olde story children. Witness 4 Jaws, 3 Rambos, 6 Rockys, 742 Bonds, 3 (and counting) Indiana Jones, ad infinitum. We can even go back 70 years to 6 Thin Mans, the last 3 of which weren't so great. But no matter. Don't expect H'wood to learn from the dearth of joy in their sequels, because we keep lapping them up.
Nevertheless, there is always the FIRST of all of these movies to return to, and that is what we must do when all is said and spent. Go back to the original (well, the remake of the original, anyway) and remember a time not so long ago when charisma had a name, and its name was "Ocean's Eleven." This is the only movie they needed to make.
A Throwback Worth Keeping.......2007-08-08
OCEAN'S ELEVEN is one movie among many that is symptomatic of a Hollywood problem: that is, a lack of new ideas. This is a remake, somewhat lost perhaps, among all the other remakes, sequels, and so on, that have marred the creative braintrust of Tinseltown. But OCEAN'S ELEVEN is fun, fun, fun--and Hollywood is short on that, too, these days.
There's another thing that makes this movie both good and rare: an ensemble cast. Really, friends and neighbors, how often do you get this caliber of a cast in a modern movie: Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Carl Reiner, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Andy Garcia, and yes, Bernie Mac? Good gravey, I haven't seen the likes since THE LONGEST DAY. And they all play their parts unselfishly (except, perhaps, for Clooney--but he's the star).
Oh, yeah. It's all about a heist, a team of eleven strangely likeable criminals who seek to knock off Vegas's three biggest casinos. Watching them work is a blast!
(This review has been posted by Marcus Damanda, author of the vampire book, "Teeth: A Horror Fantasy.")
no.......2007-07-20
I tried to watch this movie but after the first seconds of hearing Clooney's voice I got sleepy. My eyes blurred at the screen and everything got dark siewpfieys...oops sorry I am having a flashback to the moment and forgot how to type. I didn't see this movie and don't know if I ever will. So don't bother with my opinion. It is just one out of many.
Ocean's Eleven.......2007-07-20
Almost as funny as the original (starring the" Rat Pack") Enjoyed Don Cheadle (so out of character) and of course
seeing Elliot Gould and Carl Reiner again was a hoot.

So far...so good........2007-09-13
Just got the dvd in the mail and popped it in today for a first run through it. I was thoroughly impressed. No wimpy pregnancy workout here! I was sweating by the end. Loved the thorough stretching at the beginning and end of the tape and the clear directions in the voice-over. It was super inspiring to see a woman who was that pregnant and also that buff! Woohoo!!! I was dead tired by the end of my first round and feel certain that I got a good workout. I'm looking forward to building up to making it all the way through and then trying a few of the advanced or intermediate modifications. I love that she's worked Kegels right into the routine. Way to help us see our pelvic floor muscles as part of our body that needs to stay in shape.
Effective whole body workout.......2007-09-12
I like this DVD because she combines pilates, yoga, strength training, and even kegels for a great workout. I've been using this since my first trimester, and will definately keep it around for future pregnancies!
Really enjoyable.......2007-09-04
I really found this DVD enjoyable. It's starts of slow and builds up nicely, and has a relaxing cooldown. I'm still finding the beginners sequences challenging, but have only used it twice so far. I love that it has an instruction tract, and shows exactly what the beginners, intermediates, and advanced users should be doing during the routine. I find it a great cardio work out and am sore the next day (something I usually only get when taking classes at the gym). If you're looking for something soothing, this is not it, but is great in combination with a prenatal yoga class to keep your cardio up and muscles toned.
Well Done.......2007-08-10
A well organized routine. Well thought out and user friendly. A good workout that doesn't coddle you or treat you like a china doll just because you are pregnant, yet keeps the baby's safety in mind. Helps that it has different options for the exercises for different levels of fitness. The fact that you are being led by woman who is pregnant and in great shape is inspiring. I recommend this DVD.
Highly Recommend this Workout DVD!.......2007-08-09
This is my first pregnancy and I knew that I wanted an excellent mat workout to see me through it and help me to stay strong, flexible and relaxed. I am so grateful to have found this DVD. I am due in 5 weeks and have tried every day to either do this DVD or take a 2-mile walk. I feel like after my baby is born my body will recover very quickly. From this workout, my legs and arms feel strong, I feel like I have retained the flexibility that I had pre-pregnancy from doing Pilates and I feel like it has helped me to manage tension. As well, she inserts Kegels throughout which have absolutely saved me from those leaks that happen when you sneeze or laugh hard while pregnant. I look forward to having this DVD to use if we ever decide to have another child. Note: She does transition from one exercise to the next more quickly than I would like, so I just keep the DVD remote close at hand and pause it while I prepare for the next exercise. This has made this DVD perfect. Without a good remote, it would have moved too quickly for me and I would have lagged behind her throughout the workout, which would have been frustrating. She is in excellent shape and can prepare for the next set much more quickly than I could! The pace of the actual sets was perfect for me, it was just getting ready for the next type of exercise that I was slower on that she.

Is This the Best That Jesus Can Do?.......2007-09-14
I've noticed the large group of five star reviews for this film and, included among them are exuberant comments about the lack of doctrinal teaching in the film and how excited some were to find that this movie inspired them to see that truth is not about religion. Does that bother you? It should.
It is personally disheartening to me that so many people think this movie, and others like it, is so useful for evangelism when it leaves so many doubtful reviewers confirmed in their unbelief and even some Christians reviewers ashamed. Are you listening to them? Do they or what they say matter to you when they explain that they find this Jesus laughably (or sadly) simplistic? How many who say they loved this film have really had a serious conversation with an unbelieving lawyer? Did you find them to be the pushover this film suggests?
Do we really think we'll reach the lost or that they will trust us when we portray them in a way that insults their intelligence? Only a person who has very little experience witnessing to intelligent unbelievers could find this movie inspiring.
All True Christians should see this one!.......2007-09-13
My husband called me in when it was on one of the channels on TV. We loved it and I had to buy it and I lend it to dear friends that share my love of Christ! It is the message and meat of this movie that is sure to move you. It is one of those movies that makes you want to be a better person and just love.
A perfect Stranger & Another Perfect Stranger.......2007-09-04
These 2 movies are definitely 2 must sees. I rate them Xlnt, for anyone. Buy them and let your friends see them, it surely could not hurt anything, but only do good.
Christian Education.......2007-08-27
Excellent!
If you don't wear them out first, why not donate both DVDs to your local church library? (The Perfect Stranger and Another Perfect Stranger.) What better way to share your blessings, than with this exceptional Mother/Daughter series.
The young adult version shares the typical and sometimes sudden rebellion to the acceptance of Mom and Dad's religion.
AWSOME MOVIE HOLY SPIRIT INSPIRED.......2007-08-20
THIS IS A VERY GOOD MOVIE I HAVE SENT MANY COPIES TO FRIENDS AND PEOPLE I LOVE AND CARE ABOUT. IT HELPS GIVE A PERSPECTIVE OF JESUS THAT PEOPLE MAY NOT HAVE YET IS VERY TRUE.... LOVE COMPASSION CARING EXCELLENT

RICK SHAQ GOLDSTEIN SAYS: "I WISH I STAYED A STRANGER TO THIS UNPERFECT STORY!".......2007-09-17
The advertisements for this flick, try to pull you in based on Halle Berry's looks and Bruce Willis's name recognition. Those are the last two semi-intelligent things the producers of this movie attempt. The acting is wooden and any attempt at any true human emotion is plastic and insincere at best. Halle's acting is phony and Willis seems to be sleep walking through his role simply for a paycheck. The ending is so contrived, that it is an affront to any viewer with a semblance of intelligence. When they give the myriad of "last-minute" scenario's, they are all from so far out in left field, that the producer could just as easily put you and me in a final scene and have it be more plausible.
I don't know what to say ;-l.......2007-09-14
I have a theory that you can tell how bad a movie is going to be, based on the trailers that come before it. When I saw some bad trailers at the beginning of this dvd, I knew I was in for a bad movie and I was right. To be honest, it's hard for me to write this review because I don't get what the movie was about at all. Not only could I not follow it, I wasn't actually interested in following it even if I could. I normally love Bruce Willis and Halle Berry and when I knew that Gary Dourdan was in it too, I really wanted to watch this, but none of these actors could change the fact that this is a weak plotted movie that doesn't thrill or excite. In hindsight, I wish I hadn't bought this. I wouldn't even tell my friends to watch it on free to air tv.
I'm sorry to say that I thought this movie sucks. Right from the start and even to the 'thrilling and twisting' end, I couldn't have disliked a movie more.
Slow build, but what a turn in the ending.......2007-08-23
This movie follows halle berry, an undercover reporter for a large new york newspaper who gets squelched one to many times, and quits her job. Then out of nowhere, one of her old town friends from philidelphia shows up and gives her a big story. However, this story is deeper than you could ever know. The movie is not much of a thriller, almost a snorfest for the first 90 minutes, I almost quit watching, then it all winds up in a big mess, leaving you wondering where it all came from. The pieces are there, just that they went together like this, entertaining. View once, and do it with a group, so they don't spend too much renting this one.
The surprise ending can't save a bad movie.......2007-08-15
Halle Berry and Bruce Willis can't save this boring thriller in which a investigative reporter(Halle) tries to catch the supposed killer(Bruce) of her friend with the help of a computer spec(Giovanni Ribisi).
I won't get into details because I don't want to spoil the pleasure for those who will see the movie.
No thrill, no suspense,a weak plot, too many computer details, worth seeing only for Giovanni Ribisi(in case you're not a fan of Halle).
Better to leave it a "Perfect Stranger".

This very welcome box set turns up the heat on one of detective films' cold cases. Created by Brett Halliday, Michael Shayne appeared in 31 books between the 1940s and '70s. He is not as popularly known as other screen shamuses, but he's good company. As portrayed by Lloyd Nolan (best known as curmudgeonly Dr. Chegley on the groundbreaking sitcom Julia), Shayne is not as hard-boiled as Sam Spade or as sage as Charlie Chan. But, as one shady character observes to someone whom Shayne has just pasted, "You know better than to mix with Shayne." He's a working-class mug ("His office is in his hat, his home is in his car," he remarks), usually "down on his luck" and short on cash. As Michael Shayne, Private Detective (1940) opens, the furniture from his office is being repossessed. Still, Shayne has ethics enough to turn down $5,000 for a suspicious-sounding case. ("$5,000 will buy a lot of ethics," he's told). He's got some odd habits, from twirling his keychain to singing the odd Irish ditty. In each film, Shayne manages to get himself into some "screwy scrapes." In Private Detective, a "gag" backfires when an attempt to scare a gambling heiress straight results in a murder with Shayne's gun at the scene of the crime. In The Man Who Wouldn't Die (1942), Shayne pretends to be a wealthy woman's husband to get the lowdown on a body that won't stay buried. In Sleepers West (1941), he's on the right track when he accompanies a murder witness by train to San Francisco. Blue, White and Perfect (1942) is a real gem that finds Shayne embroiled in wartime espionage, smuggled diamonds and dodging his jealous, matrimonial-minded girlfriend.
These lively B-films each clock in at less than 80 minutes. What they lack in budget they more than make up for in shadow-drenched, dark, and stormy atmosphere, Shayne's moxie and inestimable support from some great character actors, such as Clarence Kolb (the crooked mayor in His Girl Friday) and Douglass Dumbrille (the nasty racetrack owner in A Day at the Races), who appear in Private Detective. For a collection of obscure films, this box set has all the trimmings, with three original featurettes that provide efficient primers on Halliday, Shayne, and Robert McGinnis, the artist who created luscious and lurid covers for the Shayne paperbacks. There is also an interactive trivia guide that makes the six-degrees connections between cast members and the film-noir world. This is volume 1, to which we can only say, "Come back, Shayne." --Donald Liebenson

LLoyd Nolan as Michael Shayne.......2007-07-07
The perfect fit of role and star, action a-plenty, twists, turns, and surprises, snappy dialogue, excellent cast support, upper level grade B production values, realistic settings, and transfer print quality as good as or better than you may have expected. What's not to like??
I haven't seen any of the Hugh Beaumont/Michael Shayne movies but I can't wait to watch the remaining three in the Lloyd Nolan series.
If you are fan of this era, a fan of mystery/detective movies with a side serving of good humor and a fan of this star who is perfect for this role, then you really don't want to miss this set.
Review of Michael Shayne Vol 1.......2007-06-28
I think these movies made in the 1940's were fun to watch. I particularly enjoyed LLoyd Nolan playing the lead role. I also enjoyed seeing old glamorous movie stars like Lynn Bari and Mary Beth Hughes in action again.
Classic B-Movies.......2007-06-12
I am a fan of Lloyd Nolan. He has always shined in B-movies. And his signature role as Michael Shayne is no different. His wit and timing are nothing short of outstanding. I hope that another boxed set of these films are released soon.
I would even like to see the one's with Hugh Beaumont. It would be nice to see Beaumont play a character besides Ward Cleaver on Leave It To Beaver. But, Lloyd Nolan is still the best to play this character.
Michael Shayne.......2007-06-08
The Michael Shayne mysteries are not only clever, but very funny. Lloyd
Nolan is great and the best Michael Shayne there ever was. Can't wait
till Volume 2 comes out.
action thriller.......2007-05-16
this dvd box set of michael shayne is very good and well worth buying for any film buff who likes lloyd Nolan. he plays the part very good and is comical also. the rest of the cast also are well worth watching, I do hope 20th centry Fox turn out more of Mike Shayne in the near future, I have been waiting for this series to come on dvd and now they are out Im more than pleased I purchased them. LOVE IT!!!.......2007-09-12
I've had this DVD for about 2 weeks and every time I use it, I feel it. I love the choices for workouts and the different levels to choose from.
Good abs dvd!.......2007-08-11
I really feel the burn with these exercises. It's very short and too the point, but I feel like I truly worked my abs. The exercises are different than most and it's fun. My only problem with the dvd is that there isn't as much work on the obliques or lower half of the abs.
Good DVD for the price.......2007-07-24
The workouts are intense. I would say that the beginner workouts should have been labeled as intermediate, since there is virtually no rest between each exercise and the workout lasts ~7 minutes (with stretching for the last minute).
10 different 6-10 minute workouts.......2007-07-12
I have been doing 2 of these workout every day for a week and have already started to see results!
The reason this video is good:
-Variety: 10 different ab workouts
-Challenging: I workout quite a bit and I feel that all the workouts are challenging
- a lot of good lower abs exercises
- She moves so quickly between moves that you can always tell yourself to do a few more because you know she will switch it up quickly
Buy this and get ready for your bathing suit!
I Hate Crunches :(.......2007-05-02
This video has three workouts, with 2 types:
BootCamp Abs
Kick Boxing Abs
Strength Abs
They all including Beginner and Challenging. Each workout it about 8-9 minutes long.
Although the workouts are good quality, I think they could've done better on the quality of the actual DVD. It seems a bit, cheesey. There's an instructor and two other other people in a completely empty studio. The good thing about these workouts is that they go by fast. The instructor of this video isn't my favorite, but it gets the job done.
It might just be me, but I thought as if this video had a lot of crunches in it. I'm not a fan of crunches at all... my favorite it the kickboxing abs, because you do more work than laying on your back doing crunches.
If you want a fast, good workout go for this video. It's not great quality as far as the set and instructor but the exercises make up for it.

Pretty good vampire movie............2007-09-03
In the movie "Perfect Creature", vampires are the result of early genetic engineering and have become the protectors of humanity as well as the sciences. They are not the "bite everyone on the neck and go on a killing spree type of vamps," which is really refreshing as vampire movies go.
The film is set in an alternate reality version of England. The Brotherhood has watched over humanity for three centuries and have developed a close relationship with the humans until one of its own goes nuts and starts to hunt.
Perfect Creature.......2007-08-31
I Love Vampire Movies, I Thought It Was Good ,I Am Glad With My Purchase Of This Movie.
This a a great horror movie like Underworld.......2007-08-23
This movie is a different version of the movie Underworld. There are no Werwolves, but lots of Vampires. A must have.
tantalizing plot but not quite complete.......2007-08-18
The plot is potentially tantalizing and fascinating. It's a vampire movie with more than a simple twist, it is a 180 turn, the vampires serve humanity (no not on a platter, but as the scientists and religious leaders). The whole movie feels like you are trying to catch up, having entered into the story half way through and having missed lots of important facts and details. This is not a real bother, just takes some time to put things together, the big problem is that the movie also feels like it stops a chapter short of a satisfying ending. The movie revolves around the nature of the brotherhood and the nature of the individual vampires, an individual versus collective motif. The question from the two brothers viewpoints is "is this who i really am?", either the one brother who conforms entirely to the collective's wishes or the other brother who goes rogue and kills.
It is a potentially neat and interesting theme. Even to look carefully at a piece of it would make for a spectacular movie. The problem is, despite some excellent photography and set work, the plot is fragmented enough that i really didn't get the big idea that the author intended. Resolving the movie satisfactorially must related the birth of the female vampire to the reason she is hidden from the brotherhood, a point i simply can't seem to fit into the rest of the movie, therefore being left with a serious deficiency. Now if this was a "normal" action movie or vampire movie, i'd ask myself "so what?", they don't rely much on plot and coherence for their value. This movie does, it proposes a view about service, about religion, about society that tries to make a big point, my problem is that i simply missed the point. At this point, i am blaming the movie, not myself.
The potential for a blockbuster movie was there, the plot is unique and could have explored interesting ideas. The sets and scenes are visually stunning and make the movie worth watching. But the ending is incoherent and unsatisfactory, like someone ripped the last chapter out of the book i just finished.
my rating is a 3 1/2, a 5 for plot potential and scenery and a 1 for coherence.
Surprising Little Gem.......2007-07-22
The review on the cover says "Underworld Meets Children of Men". That's actually a fair synopsis. While superior to "Children of Men" this movie is a little short of the excitement of "Underworld", yet highly watchable--thanks primarily to Dougray Scott who elevates this movie with his extraordinary acting. It was a great addition to my Vampire movie collection. I'm even hopeful for a sequel although the fact that this movie went straight to DVD makes that doubtful.
Strong recommend for vampire fans.
Amazon.com essential video
Each of the snazzy 25-minute installments from the most popular Japanese animated TV series of 1998 is a satisfying adventure tale about a futuristic hipster bounty hunter. This is an elegant action-comedy anime, with smoothly integrated CGI space-flight elements, gorgeous graphics, blues harmonica and sax riffs on the soundtrack, and a no-sweat post-Tarantino attitude. Despite occasional eruptions of gun-fu Asian-action violence, and some intimations of heavy-duty drug use (in the first of 26 episodes, one especially noxious narcotic is administered as an aerosol spray straight onto the user's eyeballs), the tone is surprisingly convivial. None of the generic tough elements are grim or mean-spirited. Lanky antihero Spike Spiegel is a planet-hopping freelance hunter with an ex-cop sidekick named Jet, a loopy fellow hunter named Faye, a teenage computer hack, and a genetically enhanced Welsh corgi assistant in tow. The emphasis is on clever twists of plot in an episodic short-story format with as many wisecracks as punches being thrown. --David Chute

A True Space Western.......2007-09-09
I'm not big into cartoons. The only anime I watch are things that have already been critically acclaimed (like "Princess Mononoke," and "Akira") so when I say that this is excellent, you know it isn't coming from a biased otaku nerd (no offense, nerds :D). The animation is superb. The soundtrack is astonishing (it's so good, I have it on my iPod!). But what really runs the show is the characters. The plot of each of the episodes is pretty much stand-alone (so you don't necessarily NEED to see them in any particular order), and the individual plots really aren't anything to get up and cheer about. But the characters and emotions, and (my favorite) the voiceovers are enough to get me to cry at the end of the last episode. The american voiceover actors are what make the ridiculous parts of the show believable. Spike is just plain cool, Jet is the much-needed voice of reason, Faye is the loose-cannon, take-no-crap female, and Ed is the often over-the-top, sometimes annoying comic relief. They are what run this show. It is fun, beautiful, ugly, emotional, funny, and serious all at the same time. It is good all-around (even though the DVDs themselves are possible bootlegs). It is a cartoon geared toward adults, and it is spot-on when it comes to performance. Very good - highly reccommended.
YEA!put your fears to rest .......2007-09-02
i just bought this and i thought it was going to be bad qulity like every one said but its juts finei dont know why everyone hates thisi wasent expecting much we i got it but i was totaly suprized adn i can turn the sub title off well at least on mine o can
Okay, I'm a dummy.......2007-09-02
The one star is for the item iteself.
I admit it. I should have paid closer attention to what I was buying here. I, too, wound up with a bootleg and I'm presently working it out with the vendor. I take my share of responsibilty on this. The deal was good, maybe too good. I should have known . . .
But Amazon has a responsibility, too. Reading through these reviews, this is not the first time this has happened. Amazon should know-at least by now- that most of these offers are illegal bootlegs and should shut down these vendors.
Trust me. I'll be much more careful now.
Great stuff! if you buy the real one..........2007-08-25
Please note: the following review is about the SERIES, NOT this version. This copy is a BOOTLEG.
I'd suggest, if you're just touching on anime for the first time, that you start here. Cowboy Bebop is one of the great anime series, and is funny, intelligent, atmospheric, and generally well rounded in its balance of these factors with action, character development, and overall entertainment.
If you think there is any chance you're interested in anime, buy this.
If you're already into anime, there's no reason you shouldn't have seen it by now.
Just make sure you buy a real issue and not the bootleg, as quality is lacking, and bootlegging is stealing.
New to Anime? Start with BeBop.......2007-08-23
This copy was a pretty good duplication. The origional is far too expensive for any normal person to afford or find for that matter, it's a cult classic. I saw the empty box selling for $120 the other day. The characters are a mismatched crew of bounty hunters trying to make a living in a not too distant future when humanity has moved out to the plants and taken most of our vices and bad habits with us. Thankfully, we've taken some of our humanity, caring and love for our fellow human kind as well. The stories seem a bit childish on the surface, but if you watch closely, you'll see a mirror of our modern society just below the surface of every episode. The music is just about the best part of the show. Classic Jazz Man.

Not the Best But Worth the Watch.......2007-08-29
In my opinion not the worst film I've seen this year but not the best from Halle Berry or Bruce Willis.
A few unexpected twists the acting can be a bit wooden at times but worth the watch.
The Blu Ray transfer is not too bad but there are better films to show case the hi def experience.
Do you have any idea what the words awful filmmaking mean?!.......2007-08-20
Perfect Stranger is quite possibly the worst movie of 2007. It is so terrible that it makes Bratz look like an Oscar winner. One could barely classify the acting in this film as acting. Halle Berry proves once again that, outside of her Oscar performance, she is as talented as a paper towel. Bruce Willis also provides some laughable delivery of lines; mostly, he looks like he wants to rape someone or punch them in the face. What a joke. The twist ending is so unbelivably lame, too. Hell, this movie is such tripe I barely feel like devoting time to this review anymore. Just take my advice and don't bother. Although, it IS on Blu-ray and might look rather decent in 1080p. But I'm sure there are much better reference disks out there without bad hairpieces and lame acting.
pretty good movie.......2007-08-18
If you like crazy twists and turns, then you will love this movie. I was in suspense almost the whole movie. Overall a pretty good movie, but it might not be the kind of movie you watch more than once or twice.
