An inevitable idea: a working man (Michael Keaton) who can't meet all his professional and family responsibilities has himself cloned. It works so well having one copy of himself to take charge of matters at the office that he makes another copy who takes care of the home front. Pretty soon, different aspects of Keaton's personality are emphasized in the different clones: the laborer becomes a macho creep and the domestic god becomes rather feminine. A third clone, struck from the duplicates instead of the original, becomes like a photocopy of a photocopy: inferior. This timely comedy should be better than it is, but special-effects requirements are so labor-intensive that most scenes feel stiff and leaden. Keaton is good in all four parts, and in certain gee-whiz effects scenes, where he even high-fives himself, he pulls off a minor miracle or two. (Of course, a kid did the same thing in Disney's 1998 remake of The Parent Trap.) The DVD release includes optional widescreen and standard formats and optional French and Spanish soundtracks. --Tom Keogh

HOLD ON TO YOUR HEAD.......2007-08-22
HOLD ON TO YOUR HEAD, because if you don't it may fall off from laughing so hard. Keaton is a harried building contractor, with a hot wife (Andie MacDowell) and no time for her. He has a pal who is a scientist experimenting with cloning. So over time he clones Keaton's Character 3 times. One is his masculine side, the other his fem side and the last a retard-lunatic, and his wife doesn't know from day to day who she is shagging, and she thinks they are all moods of the same guy, but he is unaware of his clones bedtime dalliances with his wife know they are intimate with her. Now he is in four places at once with good and bad results, all of which are hilarious.
Hilarious!.......2007-05-17
Don't we all wish at one time or another that we could be in more than one place at a time. Michael Keaton is the best. I never get tired of watching this movie with the grandkids.
How much Michael Keaton is there?.......2007-01-04
Or how many? This hilarious movie does nothing to answer that question.
The premise is goofy. Doug is burning the candle at both ends and looking for more ends to burn. There just aren't enough hours in the day for one man to be contractor, father, husband, provider, and swigger of beer at the hockey game. So Doug dives straight to the core of the problem: that thing about "one man." When the chance arises, he clones himself so there can be more Doug to go around. But that Doug doesn't like the hard hours any better, so there's a third. And a fourth ...
The plot is silly and formulaic. Good, just formulaic. The real treat in this movie is Michael Keaton. If you look at his movie roles (Batman, Mr. Mom, Beetle Juice, etc, etc), he's never the same twice. He's all over the place. This is his movie. He's there four times, playing one character four ways, with four very different personalities. They move differently, talk differently, inflect differently - the four Keatons really are different. Fer cryin' out loud, Doug4 doesn't even look like Keaton most of the time, but is. This isn't a piece of cinematic art so much as a place for the many Keatons to play together, off the leash.
It's good, silly, date-movie fun. It's kid-safe. It's shallow and forgettable. But it's physical humor and fast-change personality gags at their best. If that's what you want, it's howling funny.

Too Busy.......2006-12-12
Michael Keaton plays a man who is overworked, so he gets 1 clone of himself, but ends up with more and more!
One rule Doug has" Don't sleep with my wife".

Purchased this item July 15,2006 and have not received it yet, have looked at where's my stuff and it shows it somewhere at a post office. Don't know why it would take over a month unless it was sent pony express, even then it would of been here by now. E-mailed Amazon and received no help. A terrible experience so far.
Description
Singer/Actress Cher, who has been a part of popular culture for three decades, is on. After gaining fame in 1960s as half of the duo of Sonny and Cher, the singer went on to achieve success as a solo artist. She talks about fulfilling her lifelong dreams to be an actress and rejuvenating her singing career with her latest recording, It's a Man's World. Then, Actor Michael Keaton who has played roles ranging from Mr. Mom to Batman talks about his newest movie, Multiplicity, in which he plays four roles as a man who clones himself to manage his busy life.
Customer Reviews:
Charlie Rose Interview with Cher.......2007-03-09
As a collector of Cher's music I enjoyed the DVD. A suprise that the interviewer had not done enough research and was unaware that Cher had a son. This did not do the great lady justice and was a bad oversight.

Book Description
Co-produced with the Harvard Office for Race Relations and Minority Affairs, Race in the Classroom features five vignettes that depict moments in college courses when the race or culture of participants, a race-related topic, or racial dynamics become a major factor in teaching and learning. Each vignette is based on an actual classroom incident, including a classroom argument over affirmative action, a student uncomfortable being chosen as a spokesperson for her race, and quiet Asian student whom the instructor hesitates to engage. These scenes do not offer specific answers, but are intended to spark discussion on these important and difficult issues.
A Facilitator's Guide is included as a PDF.
In Women in the Classroom, five vignettes show moments based on real classroom experiences in which the role of women is an issue, either because of the gender of the teacher or students or because of the topic under discussion. The classrooms scenes present issues such as gaining authority, gendered modes of expression, male and female dominance, race and gender conflicts, and faculty responsibility. Also included is a series of "Shorts," provocative, unrehearsed student one-liners on gender issues that are grouped in eight sets by topic. All the vignettes are intentionally provocative, and can lead to fruitful discussions of complex topics.
Because of the importance of the facilitator's role, a Facilitator's Guide is included as a PDF.
