No one loves the cold months better than acerbic fat cat Garfield, who thrives on a bounty of junk food and traditional meals in the delightful collection of musical-comedy TV specials Garfield Holiday Celebrations. "Garfield's Halloween Adventure" finds the portly hero and airhead-sidekick Odie the dog scrounging through owner Jon's attic to find perfect costumes, then encountering ghosts and ghoulies that seem a tad authentic. "Garfield's Thanksgiving" is a screwball special in which Jon harasses veterinarian Liz into being his Turkey Day guest. Trouble is, Jon is clueless about how to cook a big bird; fortunately, starving Garfield has the good sense to call in Jon's spirited grandmother for a culinary rescue. Grandma shows up, too, in "A Garfield Christmas," about a family get-together that covers all the nice holiday stuff and, of course, lots of bickering, pouting, and jealousy. I have to be honest, I only bought this for the Christmas episode. I watched that episode growing up and even had it recorded. I was thinking about it the other day, and then I saw this at Target. I watched the other two episodes and loved them, although I wish I could have seen the original Halloween episode someone had talked about(sorry I don't remember your name at the moment). Definately worth getting, because it brings suck good memories.

Grow up on these Garfield Holiday Specials along with the Peanuts and of course I wanted to share them with my son. He seemed to dig them and they're just as good as I remembered them. The Halloween might be the best of the three, but Thanksgiving and Christmas are also must owns.

My son and I really had a good laugh over the antics of Garfield and Odie.
I think we might have every DVD and book available on these two furry friends and their awesome owner. A good watch for all ages.
