5 out of 5 stars You Will Be Missed!.......2007-09-09

Please keep the reruns on forever! My husband and I enjoyed that show so much because (besides the obvious reasons) my ederly mother lives with us and there were times when she was watching the show with us that we had to turn the channel as it seemed it was written BY us! And anyone that cares for an elderly parent knows we need the laughter! Can anyone say "Demented Old Circus Monkey?"

5 out of 5 stars Saying goodbye to old friends.......2007-08-28

The King of Queens is the most underrated show of the last decade. Everybody Loves Raymond was great, but K of Q was a much funnier show. The chemistry between the three main characters--Doug, Carrie and Arthur--makes for countless laughs, even when no dialog is spoken. The show strikes a special chord if you grew up middle class in the New York area. I have been an avid fan for from the beginning and am so happy that we don't have to wait too long for the final season to be released. Buy all nine seasons and you will always be among friends.

5 out of 5 stars Great Ending To A Wonderful Show!.......2007-08-26

I love King of Queens, and am sad that the show has finally ended. I really enjoyed the final double feature episode. It was funny, yet sad. I hope in the future they deside to come back together for a 10th! season, but I highly doubt it.

5 out of 5 stars Thanks for the ride ..........2007-08-19

Even though this wasn't the best season of KoQ, there is no way I can vote below 5 starts. It's a shame to see a show this good leave us.

Like some previous reviews said, our days won't be the same without the beautiful Carrie and the funniest man on earth Kevin James (Doug).

I recommend this product to every KoQ fan. Even if it's just to have on your collection and watch all the episodes again in a few days/months/years. To remind us of the good times.

KoQ will be missed!

This show makes me sad that it has ended. I feel like these characters are friends that have been lost. At least we have our DVD's.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars One of the Best Seasons.......2007-08-06

Kevin James is a master of physical comedy as displayed here in the stripper pole episode which is one of the funniest routines on a sitcom in years. This was the year he was finally nominated for an emmy but sadly lost.

The King of Queens never got tired even into its eighth and ninth seasons. The cast was still into it and the writing still funny week after week. Unlike many newer shows this show will be a timeless classic right up there with I Love Lucy, All in the Family, and Seinfeld. It never got the respect or attention it deserved but Kevin James and gang will be entertaining us for years.

5 out of 5 stars The King of Sitcoms.......2007-07-04

I just began getting into The King of Queens, and I must say that this show is definitely "The King of Sitcoms". Kevin James & Leah Remini as The Heffernans are simply amazing and the chemistry between them is unprecedented - they act and react so much like a real couple, that at times I can't help but feel that they are actually married in real life. (Although of course they aren't.) They play off of one another so well that the laughs and the day-to-day trials and tribulations in every episode just keep you coming back for more.

I am now starting to watch the 3rd season and can't believe how great and addictive this show is...it only took me 2 days to watch the entire 2nd season!! This show Rocks!! If you want a terrific sitcom to watch, then don't hesitate, go buy "The King of Queens" - The King of Sitcoms - a rarity in our society today...Thanks Doug & Carrie for letting me escape from reality just when I need to the most. A rare gem and real treat. ENJOY!!! :)

5 out of 5 stars Long live the King!!!.......2007-06-12

Sadly I have recently heard that KOF will be going off the air soon! Oh the agony, the agony! This season like all the others are great, absolutely fantastic. I won't give a commentary on the episodes, but instead give this challenge: Buy the episodes for yourself and find out how good they really are.

5 out of 5 stars Best comedy ever.......2007-06-09

This is definitely the best season yet! My favorite episode was when Doug was showing Carrie how to act like a hot stripper. He jumped on the pole and kept saying you need to be one with the pole. Awesome season, can't wait for season 9 to come out on DVD.

5 out of 5 stars SAC UP AND FIGHT THE POWER NANCY! GREAT SEASON!.......2007-06-07

This show never fails to deliver! Some very funny stuff and the cast seems to be really enjoying what they do. The addition of widescreen in this and last season is great for me and works well in my home theater. The DVD set is a must have for fans of the series.

King of Queens Fifth season was a outstanding just like the rest of the series, especially for Jerry Stillers character Authur. Straight off the ball, first episode is a classic. Doug can't sleep without Carrie next to him, Carrie is doing night shift. So Doug convinces Authur to sleep upstairs next to him. Very funny.

5 out of 5 stars GREAT SEASON ! GREAT SHOW! GREAT DVD SET!.......2007-06-07

This show just gets funnier with age. The cast is excellent and have become their TV counterparts by this season. The Fifth season is a worthy addition to your DVD collection.

4 out of 5 stars Still funny.......2007-04-10

After purchasing and viewing the 4 prior seasons, I can say that the other 4 were funnier on more of a consistant basis. Don't get me wrong, this was still a good season and you are sure to laugh but the story lines get dragged out a little more. Hoping that season 6 is better!

4 out of 5 stars Face it, its funny.......2007-03-11

This show may not be the best written, It may be a little formulaic, but face it, it works. The chemistry between Doug and Carrie is great. Arthur is hilarious, and Kevin does a great turn as the everyman Doug. You may complain that its staid and not the most original or best produced, but the show is just plain fun. You care about the characters. For me, it's just fun TV and a good escape, definitely worth the purchase.

A surprise hit in America, this 1994 Australian comedy is anchored by Terence Stamp as a transsexual who, in the company of two drag queens, travels to a remote desert location to put on a lip-synch performance--to the amazement of the locals. Getting there on a pink bus named Priscilla, the trio stop and play for people all over the Outback, getting the same homophobic, bewildered responses. The weak link in the film is dialogue that seems to have been pulled from "Queer Movie Banter for Dummies," all bitchy and cliché-ridden but fortunately salvaged by strong acting. The most fun comes whenever the three are performing; fans of Abba will be particularly pleased. --Tom Keogh

The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert Extras

Watch Director Stephan Elliot talk about the film's iconic costumes.

An Interview with Priscilla Costume Designer Tim Chappel

How much of costume design is your own inspiration / how much is inspired by the character?
I rarely have creative free reign like I had on Priscilla. Priscilla was one of those rare situations where the powers that be said "Go for it". The characters are my babies. All design is meant to build character and help move the story along. Fortunately Mitzi, Felacia, and Bernardette were outrageous drag queens so that was not only easy bit great fun. Hard as it may seem, there are nuances that aren't obvious. For example when the queens are climbing Kings Canyon each of their headdresses are a distillation of their individual personalities. Bernardette is the Evil Queen, Mizti has lipsticks, rollers and pacifiers, and Felecia has Cupie dolls that are staring at themselves in little mirrors.

What is the process of physically rendering the costumes? Do you build them by hand? Work with a team? Hit vintage stores?
I usually begin by sketching roughs. Then once everyone has had their input - or cocked their leg as it seems more of the time, I do the finished sketches. These get signed off on literally becoming a visual contract. Then they get handed to the Costumier that builds a toile (a practice one). That gets fitted on the talent and we all um and ah--hopefully more ooh and ah if it's working well. Then we have a second fitting to perfect the fit and a final fitting to see the final project.
On Priscilla however I simply grabbed whatever I had around or worked out which costume could be sacrificed and started gluing and sewing and hoping for the best. If something started to break there was always the hot glue gun and a handful of glitter to disguise any lumps and bumps. The costumes were literally finished when they would tear them out of my hands.

Did any of the actors on Priscilla have any costume concerns? Was anyone concerned the costume would overpower their performance?
The actors were all good sports. Terence told us he wanted to look like Holly Golightly but he soon gave up on that idea. He actually looked quite beautiful at times I thought. There was a moment at Kings Canyon when Terrence said that something was bothering his forward and I looked over to see a single drop of blood run down his brow--whoops, with only $12,000 US there was no room for comfort.

What's the difference between cinematic fashion and street (real people) fashion? I.e., does it have to be "bigger" if it's on the screen?
There are lots of differences between what you wear on the street, on stage, or in stills. Each medium requires special attention. For example in film you have to find out what kind of film stock is being used, what kind of filters and the general visual feel that the production designer and cinematographer are trying to go for. Of course the Director is trying to convey very specific ideas and using texture, color and contrast your job is to build, along with your team, that visual statement.
The use of detail is also vital; sometimes you can't even see it but the actor will know its there and much detail, even though you can't literally see it, becomes absorbed in a more subconscious way.

In your opinion, who looked the most beautiful (lead roles) in drag, who was the most fun to work with?
They were all beauties. Guy Pearce had a background in musical theatre so he was prone to stealing the show. They were all great fun and still people I count as good friends.

Any idea the film would take off to become an enormous hit and cult classic as well as meaning so much to fans around the world?
We thought we were basically making a home movie; it wasn't until we had the 15-minute standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival that we knew we had created a DRAG MONSTER!

Where did you get the inspiration and know-how regarding costumes? Was there research involved? How did you get involved in doing this movie?
I started with the music and let it send me in a delirious creative free fall and took notes as I spun. We got to have a buying trip to NYC in '92--WOW. I got to meet Girlina and Lasdy Bunny and all the voguing Queens--we were doing something totally different but Queens are trick everywhere aren't they.
I got involved because Stephan needed a Costume designer who could do everything: design, sew and wear--if necessary. I was working as one of a pair of male backup dancers (an "earring") for a drag-queen troupe called Glamourworld. I used to make all our costumes and we were pretty successful. We even toured Asia going to Hong Kong, Shanghai and Ho Chi Mihn city--all on DragOn Air. How funny is that?

What inspires you--what movies stand out to you as having great costumes?
It all goes in and just comes out this way. I don't consciously look for inspiration. I like to think of myself as a creative distillery.

If you could dress Oscar (of the Academy Awards) - what would you have him wear?
My Oscar was on display in Australia's National Gallery in an Exhibition called "The Sights and Sounds of Australian Film." Oscar had purple hair and a disco tube dress. I butchered a Rock and Roll Barbie. She didn't seem to mind 'cause Oscar looked roool perty!

Description

They came. They conquered. They looked fabulous. This wonderfully inventive, visually stunning and incomparably funny Australian import about three drag performers braving the vast, rugged outback won the 1994 Academy Award(r) for Costume Design. Veteran actor Terence Stamp (Star Wars: The Phantom Menace), Hugo Weaving (The Matrix), Guy Pearce (L.A. Confidential) all give hilarious ? and heartfelt ? performances in a three-fishes-outta-water story that's "one of the wildest movies ever made" (Rex Reed, New York Observer)! With a contract to perform a drag show way out in the Australian desert, Tick (Weaving), Adam (Pearce) and Ralph (Stamp) each has his own reason for wanting to leave the safety of Sydney. Christening their battered pink tour bus "Priscilla," this wickedly funny and high-drama trio head for the Outback...and into crazy adventures in even crazier outfits. You go, girls!

2 out of 5 stars Where are the extra frills?.......2007-09-12

Not much behind the scenes info as I would have liked, and there are only a few deleted scenes. The standard version is probably the better bargain.

5 out of 5 stars Adventures of Pricilla Queen of the Desert.......2007-08-27

We first saw this film many years ago on a video rental. This version was much more interesting with the afterwards interviews. The movie was just as funny and entertaining as the first time we saw it.

5 out of 5 stars Great fun & Understanding.......2007-08-14

This film is filled with great comedic & sensitive insight into a different world from the one most of us live in. The site gags & verbal repartee are eye catching & definitely quotable, as the 3 characters learn to live with themselves, each other & the world at large. This film is a lot of fun to watch & be immersed in, without a lot of pathos. There is a happy ending & it's nice to know that things will work out for Mitzie, Felicia & Bernadette. This is one of my absolutely favorite fims of all time & feel I need to watch it on a regular basis. I never get tired of it & like to have it on hand to pop into my DVD player at will.

5 out of 5 stars An Original.......2007-08-08

An oldie but absolutely fabulous. This movie is a lot of fun and totally original for it's time and surprisingly it stands up 10 years later!

5 out of 5 stars A Timeless Classic in Lavender.......2007-08-07

The film offers a truly timeless look at the life of transvestites, transsexuals, gays, and straights; their families, friends, lovers, and haters. Hilarious, campy, bittersweet, biting, and witty - an artistic masterpiece for the ages. Regarding the 'Extra Frills:' For once, the ubiquitous "Director's Comments" are relevant, informative, and entertaining rather than self-centered. The backgrounds of all the lead actors are explored, an invaluable asset in such a ground-breaking film. Best-of-the-best bonus: an extended look at the Academy Award-winning costumes.... all done on a budget of approximately $5,000. And - nowhere else will you learn the secrets behind Terence Stamp's tongue, and the nickname "Trumpet."

Arthur settles a decades old vendetta against a game show, solves a crime of a missing wallet and learns the power of digital photo editing. 5 out of 5 stars ANOTHER EXCELLENT SEASON NOW IN WIDESCREEN!.......2007-06-07

I love this show. This season Carrie is having a hard time shedding those extra pounds and it does effect the show to a degree. We just don't want to see this little firecracker all bloated! This season was still great and the Widecreen works for me in my home theater,so I'm happy with that addition. The DVD set should be in every fans collection.

5 out of 5 stars One of My Favourite Sitcom ever! .......2007-06-01

I love this show, I don't understand why the don't sell this show on DVD in Australia like other shows aswell reba, and whole lot more. thank god for AMAZON.COM.

Doug (Kevin James) cracks me up. While Carrie (Leah Rimini) is always mad about him and they always fight. It's a classic Sitcom. I think it's funniest Sitcom ever. I think personally Season Seven was my favourite. includes episodes when Carrie takes a ipod without paying for it, Doug trys his hardest go to las vegas and lies to carrie and alot more episodes.

If your're thinking of buying it, don't think anymore this show is garunteed to crack you up!

3 out of 5 stars On a steady downhill slope...........2007-05-06

Pregnant Carrie wreaked havoc on this show's funny/sexy edge that it rides often. Say what you want about pregnant women being beautiful, but when I hear Carrie run her mouth about what she wants to do in bed... I have a hard time imagining it in the condition she's in through this season. (which I believe is post-pregancy without massive weight loss - unless she got pregnant twice in a row.)

I've seen later episodes, so I know it picks up in the 8th season. However, the comedy in this season was sliding pretty bad.

Arthur's character is one of the pieces that glues this whole thing together. He needs to be in almost every episode and play a large roll. Without him, its just not as funny. Think about that when you watch the DVD and compare episodes. You will see what I mean.

Kevin James in the man, and can do no wrong. Jerry Stiller makes me laugh til my stomach hurts. Leah Remini can only pull off the hot bichy roll when she is in fact hot.

5 out of 5 stars king of Queens Season 7 DVD.......2007-04-11

I am a huge fan of the show. "King of Queens" is one of the last remaining sitcoms. I know that it is airing its last 7 episodes starting this month and that is sad. IF you are a fan of the show I recommend this DVD along with the other seasons. This is a show that can be watched multiple times and still gets big laughs.

4 out of 5 stars Still the King of sitcoms.......2007-04-06

For many years now I have thought and still think that The King of Queens is the best sitcom out there.
The show has manage to hold a high quality throughout the years, altough
the later seasons have lacked a little bit of creativity. I still enjoy it very much but feels that the earlier seasons had a better "replay watching"
I still wish that they could add the option to have subtitles, but this is just a minor problem.
But in overall the seventh season still delivers laughter and joy to much satisfaction. Recommended.

The fourth season of The King of Queens opens with a perfect example of how the show spins real life into farce: Delivery guy Doug and his sardonic wife Carrie (Kevin James and Leah Remini) want to get pregnant, but can't get Carrie's cantankerous father Arthur (Jerry Stiller) out of the house; the only solution their budget will allow is hiring a dog-walker named Holly (Nicole Sullivan) to take Arthur to the park. A more banal sitcom would conclude with Arthur's rage when he discovers the truth, but The King of Queens finds a grace note with Arthur and Holly beginning a genuine friendship. Which is not to say that The King of Queens goes for easy sentiment; some of the fourth season's best moments walk a distinctly unsentimental line. When Arthur goes into the hospital for a heart problem, Carrie discovers that he hid a college acceptance letter from her in order to keep her at home. While Arthur lies unconscious, Carrie wrestles with anger and grief--and, thanks to smart writing and Remini's deft performance, it's almost uncomfortably funny.

James, Remini, and Stiller form the sitcom equivalent of a rock'n'roll power trio--it's astonishing that so much comedy can come out of just three people. The King of Queens has solid supporting players (and, towards the end of this season, succumbs to the questionable trend of casting celebrity guest stars), but the skillful interplay between Doug, Carrie, and Arthur drives the vast majority of the show's stories. The fourth season has a handful of episodes that wallow in typical sitcom schtick, but it's impressive how many more episodes remain fresh, lively, and true to these vivid characters. Even an episode that flashes back to Doug and Carrie's wedding--a premise that usually guarantees a saccharine kiss of death--finds a balance of tartness and genuine warmth. Satisfying and well-crafted. --Bret Fetzer

Description

All hail The King of Queens - because he's funnier than ever! In this outrageous and unforgettable fourth season, parcel deliveryman Doug Heffernan (Kevin James, HITCH) continues to juggle the intimate moments of marriage with his lovely wife Carrie (Leah Remini) while sparring with that royal pain in the basement - father-in-law Arthur (Jerry Stiller). With such hilarious mishaps as hoarding an airplane's oxygen mask and installing a hidden camera to spy on Arthur, you, too, will crown this hilarious hit-comedy king!

Jane Fonda's memorable, zero-gravity striptease during the opening credits of this 1968 Roger Vadim movie is the closest the film comes to a liberated marriage of wit and sex. Based on a French comic strip, the story concerns the adventures of a 41st-century woman, who pretty much gets it on with whomever asks. The sci-fi sets were pretty interesting at the time, though they look rather anachronistic now. Appreciated today mostly as a camp classic, the movie is actually more trying than anything else. --Tom Keogh

4 out of 5 stars Jane's body is the star!.......2007-07-31

If you are expecting a great film, then leave this one alone. If you want to see Jane Fonda, in her prime, in various states of undress, then you are in luck!
The 'strip tease' at the start of the film is infamous. If you use your 'pause' and 'stop' buttons on the DVD, you CAN see Jane's breasts a few times.
Every costume Jane wears shows off her great body. Twice, her costume is torn up, and we see even more skin!
My favorite scene is "The Excessive Machine". Jane is put in this 'organ' and stripped of her costume. The machine is meant to pleasure you to death. Jane Fonda is great here. She sells this scene for all it's worth. Soon, she is covered in sweat, and we get many close-ups of her face, as she gives in to the pleasure. Jane then gives what may be the best orgasm ever in a PG film.
Again, the plot, and special effects are not that good. But Jane Fonda's body ROCKS!

4 out of 5 stars Barbarella.......2007-05-28

A fantastic sci-fi sexual experience! Totally cosmic and Jane Fonda is a very hot woman!!
Worth it!

3 out of 5 stars Expired Cheese.......2007-05-25

I think "Barbarella" is best appreciated at a midnight showing with people shouting rude things at the screen. The flick is undermined by the lunkheaded direction of Roger Vadim. Did anybody explain to this guy that he was making camp? Also on display is some of the most garish art direction ever. Austin Powers would vomit. I did dig the shag carpeting in Barb's spaceship, though. What redeems this enterprise is the acting, not least Jane Fonda in the title role. Jane, consummate actress that she is, did understand the tongue-in-cheek aspects of the film. Jane's striptease over the opening credits is something to write home about. Good contributions are also given by David Hemings, Milo O'Shea, Anita Pallenberg, and Ugo Tognazzi. Venture into this flick for it's curiousity value and nothing else.

4 out of 5 stars "Your mission Barbarella: find Durand-Durand.".......2007-04-09

Jane Fonda stars in a title role of this famous cult sci-fi sex comedy as a space beauty in the variety of skimpy outfits. She looks great - all male (and female) creatures on a strange planet SoGo (Sodom and Gomorra?) drooled over her.

"Barbarella" (1968) directed by then Fonda's husband, Roger Vadim may be the silliest, the cheesiest, the campiest movie ever made but it is certainly one of the most entertaining comedies I've seen and is Fun with the capital "F". It is also very "pretty - pretty".

So, what do we have here? In the year 40.000, Barbarella "the Queen of the Galaxy" is sent by the President of Earth in search of the disappeared scientist named Durand Durand (finally I learned how the band got its name.) While looking for him, her space ship crashes on the planet Sogo where she encounters Pygar the Blind Angel (yes the man with the wings), Professor Ping - kind scientist (the celebrated and the finest mime artist Marcel Marceau in the rare speaking role), Dildano (David Hemmings of "Blowup") - the revolutionary who plots to overthrow the evil empire, Marcan - the barbarian who introduces Barbarella to an old fashioned love making (the advanced one is achieved by taking a pill and holding hands - welcome to the brave new world!) and The Great Tyrant - dangerous and very attractive ruler of Sogo (Anita Pallenberg, the object of Mick's, Brian's and Keith's desire and Mrs. Keith Richard at the time) who calls Barbarella "pretty-pretty" and invites her to come and play.

Fonda is quite good as a naive Barbarella and sometimes there is such an ironic and intelligent smile on her face that it should not surprise you what a fine actress she would eventually become.

5 out of 5 stars Barbarella is the Unchallenged Queen of the Galaxy.......2007-03-18

After watching Jane Fonda as "Barbarella" I have nothing negative to say about her anymore.

The third season of The King of Queens upholds the quality of the first two: Smart but unpretentious comedy based firmly in the daily lives of blue-collar couple Doug and Carrie Heffernan (Kevin James and Leah Remini) as they cope with their jobs, their friends, and sharing their home with Carrie's eccentric, obsessive father Arthur (Jerry Stiller). While dozens of mediocre sitcoms are built around fat guys implausibly married to sexy women, James and Remini have such chemistry and their characters are so well-crafted and complex that their marriage seems not only convenient for sitcom purposes but downright meant to be.

The show only goes astray when it goes for a gimmick. In one episode, Doug dreams of himself as Ralph Kramden in The Honeymooners; while it's understandable for James to tip his hat to one of his idols, this belabored concept sucked all the humor out of the show. But when The King of Queens sticks to small, mundane troubles, the results are unfailingly delightful. For example, Doug becomes self-conscious about his weight when he discovers that Carrie buys his clothes at the Big & Tall Shop; Carrie is excited to go to lunch with some of the women lawyers at her firm, then humiliated when it turns out they didn't know she's a secretary; or Carrie admits she finds Doug's best friend Deacon (Victor Williams) hot. These events launch some wonderful farce, all the funnier because anyone can identify with the characters' insecurity and jealousy. This firm psychological grounding lets the series keep its footing as it dips into some deeper emotions, like the break-up of Deacon's marriage or an unexpected pregnancy. Because James and Remini keep their characters truthful in their most ridiculous moments, they keep us engaged and even moved as they enter what could be maudlin territory--plus, the writers never lose the opportunity for a sharp but telling joke along the way. The King of Queens makes sitcoms look easy, but the show's skillful balance of an ordinary world and fine-tuned humor is anything but. --Bret Fetzer

5 out of 5 stars THIS IS A GREAT SHOW!.......2007-06-07

This show is so damn funny,I can't believe it never seems to get the praise it deserves. "The Honeymooners" comes to most fans minds when they think of this show. It does have that feel to it. This season is better than the two before it and is a great addition to your DVD collection.

This show has been around forever and not many people watch it. All the characters, Doug, Carrie, Steve, the crazy old dad just bring the show to life. It has not got the credit it deserves for a comedy series on television. If you haven't seen it yet, just watch a couple of episodes and you will be rolling on the floor.

In the sitcom The King of Queens, comedian Kevin James has created a new archetype: the sensitive lug. This deceptively simple comedy bounces along because delivery man Doug Heffernen (James), though completely a guy's guy, constantly struggles to keep the world around him in a delicate emotional balance. Meanwhile, his wife Carrie (Leah Remini), though utterly feminine (and one of the sexiest women on television), uses the kind of no-nonsense rational approach that's usually a man's province. Add to this mix Carrie's father Arthur (Jerry Stiller), whose life as a fussy, self-absorbed retiree makes him more like their child than an adult, and you've got the building blocks for an excellent and durable show.

The first season of The King of Queens quickly found its voice with stories firmly rooted in the everyday world, rarely spinning off into absurdity--and why should it, when there's such a wealth of humor to be found in petty neuroses (when Doug gets assigned an attractive young woman as a trainee at work, he gets hurt when Carrie isn't remotely jealous), ill-advised scheming (to weasel out of a traffic ticket, Carrie agrees to go out on a date with the cop who pulled her over), and juggling obligations to friends and family (just about every episode). Brilliant comic bits abound; one classic moment features Doug and Carrie having a furious argument in absolute silence at a cello concert--a scene that fuses deft physicality, well-developed characters, and sheer silliness. The King of Queens is a delight. --Bret Fetzer

4 out of 5 stars A VERY FUNNY SHOW! WORTHY OF YOUR COLLECTION.......2007-06-07

I caught on to this show in the second season. It is very funny and is well casted. This hilarious sitcom should have been the Honeymooners movie that came out in theaters! Not the horrible mess starring Cedris that did go to theaters. There really isn't any reason to explain the show as most people know it well by now.If you love the Honeymooners you should love this updated version with the Heffernans. It is a worthy purchase for your DVD collection.

My husband and I just began watching the King of Queens while in syndication. We really liked the show but wanted to watch it from the beginning to really appreciate the characters. We purchased season 1 and 2 and have fallen in love with the show. The characters are hilarious and work so well together. Basic, everyday situations that many of us can relate to make this an entertaining show.
