It actually underscores the power and distinctiveness of Gary Cooper's movie stardom that this isn't so much a true collection as gleanings from the odds-and-ends table. That's not a knock; three of the four films are solid entertainments and would be well worth recommending on their own. But the only thing unifying them is the beauty and enigma Cooper brought to them, and the professionalism with which he addressed these wide-ranging assignments.

Three of them date from the '20s and '30s and were produced by Samuel Goldwyn. The 1926 silent The Winning of Barbara Worth gave Western stunt man and bit player Cooper his first featured role (by accident--the actor originally cast didn't report for work!). A cowboy whose visionary surveyor father aims to "redeem the desert and make it one fine garden," Cooper's character is the third corner of a romantic triangle, ordained by the Hollywood caste system to lose lifelong sweetheart Vilma Banky to engineer Ronald Colman. Colman has lots more screen time than Cooper and bears the moral-ethical brunt of the eco-conscious drama; he's also surprisingly persuasive wearing a sweat-stained Stetson and trading gunshots with the bad guys (if this were a sound film, Colman could never have gotten away with it). But the camera and the audience are locked onto Cooper whenever he's on screen. In longshot or vulnerable closeup, he's already one of the gods of the cinema. As for the movie, the quality of the print is excellent, its clarity intensified by bronze, yellow, and moonlit-blue tinting that often seems on the verge of resolving into full color. Director Henry King shows a good eye for action and bold vistas, and a visual adventurousness mostly absent from his later work.

Next up chronologically is The Cowboy and the Lady (1938), and the best thing about this misbegotten movie is Garson Kanin's description, in one of his Hollywood memoirs, of how Leo McCarey sold the idea for it to Sam Goldwyn. McCarey was, of course, a comedic master (recently Oscared for directing The Awful Truth), and his exuberant pitch convinced Goldwyn and his staffers that audiences would "piss" themselves laughing at this romantic comedy about a daughter of privilege (Merle Oberon) who falls for a rodeo rider (Cooper) and learns homespun values. Goldwyn paid McCarey off, assigned some writers to the script, then realized there was no real story--"no there there," as Gertrude Stein might have put it. The resultant unfunny and unromantic endeavor oozes bad faith from every pore, with neck-snapping life changes foisted on the hapless Cooper and Oberon from reel to reel, and excruciating scenes (jitterbugging in a drawing room, playing house back on Cooper's ranch) that strain charmlessly for McCarey's patented brand of fey. H.C. Potter directed, understandably without conviction.

We and Cooper are back on track with The Real Glory (1939). The reliable Henry Hathaway helmed this second cousin to his and Cooper's The Lives of a Bengal Lancer, with Cooper as an Army doctor assigned to the Philippine Constabulary on Mindanao in 1906. The movie was well-received when it came out; encountered in the shadow of the Iraq War, its tale of U.S. occupiers trying to help the local populace "stand up" against a fanatical and murderous insurgency takes on new fascination. There are some amazing passages--two horrendous murders by bolo knife--and the final battle sequence puts the CGI-riddled action films of the present day to shame. But the most impressive element is Cooper, and we can't improve on the verdict of that astute film critic Graham Greene: "Mr. Cooper ... has never acted better.... Watch him inoculate [Andrea King] against cholera--the casual jab of the needle, and the dressing slapped on while he talks, as though a thousand arms had taught him where to stab and he doesn't have to think any more."

For the final film in the set we jump into the '50s--the century's and Cooper's. Vera Cruz (1954) casts him as a former Confederate officer who's ridden into Emperor Maximilian's Mexico, hoping to make a fortune in the new civil war south of the border so that he can rebuild his own devastated homeland. Costar Burt Lancaster (whose company Hecht-Lancaster was producing) plays another mercenary, a real sociopath, and it's fascinating to watch these two stellar icons of very different Hollywood eras make common cause--Lancaster at the height of his grinning-predator mode, Cooper an aging knight whose aim is still true. Director Robert Aldrich keeps finding dynamic uses for the SuperScope format and flavorfully fills it with sublime uglies like Ernest Borgnine, Jack Elam, Charles Horvath, Jack Lambert, and Charles Buchinsky-about-to-become-Bronson. Pieces of this movie found their way into the dreams of Sam Peckinpah and Sergio Leone. --Richard T. Jameson

5 out of 5 stars Terrific!: Gary Cooper Movie Legends Collection.......2007-08-25

In my opinion, Gary Cooper was one of the finest actors America has produced. The films in this set are excellent examples of his work. One, in particular, however, caught my attention and I have have watched it many times since buying the set. "The Real Glory" is seldom seen on TV, but has immense relevance to today's news. Set in roughly 1900 in the Phillipines, it describes the impact of a US Government decison to draw down US occupation forces in that country (following its occupation during the Spanish-American War in 1898) at a time when the indigenous Moro (Moslem) peoples were fighting viciously to drive the occupying American forces out. The movie begins with a US Army officers' discussion of a newly received order to withdraw, with a discussion amongst the US Army officers present of the likely murderous effect of withdrawal by the US forces on the non-Moro Phillipino inhabitants. Filmed in the late 1930s, the comparisons to today's headlines are remarkable. I HIGHLY recommend the set, if only for this one movie.

5 out of 5 stars FILM HISTORY LESSON REQUIRED.......2007-07-30

The title "Gary Cooper MGM Movie Legends Collection" is totally midleading here. Gary Cooper was never a part of MGM's hammy stable of contract players in the traditional sense although he did do some films for that studio. The films here aren't among them. "Vera Cruz" was released through United Artists. The other 3 titles were Samuel Goldwyn films also released through United Artists. Sam Goldwyn was never part of MGM. Film history readings will explain, to those interested, how his last name wound up as part of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.
In my opinion, MGM has always been about self-aggrandizement and I guess they'll get it any way they can take it. That's too bad as it can create confusion for even arm-chair film researchers studying the old studio system of filmmaking. I always think of post-Thalberg MGM as the "blow-hard" studio with its process packaged films (although there are a healthy number of exceptions).
This Gary Cooper/United Artists collection features 4 terrific films that I highly recommend. I saw a clean print of the rare "The Winning of Barbara Worth" on the big screen a couple of years ago and Cooper's star quality is instantly apparent.
      I highly recommend this set.

4 out of 5 stars An Entertaining 'Look' at Legendary Gary Cooper!.......2007-06-16

It's a shame that Gary Cooper, today, is largely remembered for only "High Noon", his Hawks and Capra films ("Sergeant York" and "Mr. Deeds Goes to Town"), and as Lou Gehrig in "The Pride of the Yankees"; in his day, he was as sexy and popular as Clark Gable, and more esteemed as a cowboy star than John Wayne!

"Gary Cooper MGM Movie Legends Collection" offers a selection of titles that will, hopefully, spark renewed interest in this most charismatic American 'Original'. While, sadly, the collection offers little in bonus features, and, with the exception of "Barbara Worth", appears to be unremastered (which is why I only give it 4 stars), each film is very entertaining!

"The Winning of Barbara Worth" (1926), was, of course, Coop's breakthrough role, after three years of stunt work and bit parts, and is a bona fide classic. As 'Abe Lee', the young cowboy/surveyor suitor of Vilma Banky, his sexy, natural style would steal the film from star Ronald Colman (in Colman's defense, his role was more restrained, and less interesting). The film, based on a best-selling novel about harnessing the Colorado River to irrigate the desert, garnered great reviews and box office, and gave Coop a spectacular 'start'... (5 stars out of 5)

"The Cowboy and the Lady" (1938), a 'modern-day' Western comedy/romance, presented Coop the way 1930s' audiences loved him best, as a slow-talking, incorruptible cowboy irresistible to women, but a 'gentleman', in the best sense of the word! Falling for the daughter of a Presidential hopeful, posing as a maid (Merle Oberon), he marries her, discovers the charade, then storms into a posh political dinner and speaks so much 'common sense' that her family moves to his ranch! With life-long friend Walter Brennan as his sidekick, this is a real charmer! (5 stars out of 5)

"The Real Glory" (1939), released shortly after his classic version of "Beau Geste", another 'action-oriented' adventure, though lacking the "Geste" polish and style. Coop is a military doctor in the 1906 Philippines, who, with friends David Niven and Broderick Crawford, attempts to help the Filipinos fight off an army of insurgents. Action was never producer Sam Goldwyn's forte, and the film lacks the warmth of a "Gunga Din", although it does offer a rousing climax... (2 1/2 stars out of 5)

"Vera Cruz" (1954), produced by Burt Lancaster and Harold Hecht, is a spectacular, large-scale western, filmed in Mexico. Ex-Confederate Cooper and bandit Lancaster are uneasy partners guarding Denise Darcel and millions in gold, during the Mexican Revolution. While the aging Coop wasn't well during production, he still gives a solid performance, although overshadowed by Burt's flashy portrayal; the film offers a
fabulous supporting cast, including Ernest Borgnine, Charles Bronson, Cesar Romero, and Jack Elam. "Vera Cruz" was a major influence on Sergio Leone, and has achieved legendary status, among fans of the genre! (5 stars out of 5)

There is a LOT to enjoy, in this Gary Cooper collection!

5 out of 5 stars Great collection of films by Coop.......2007-05-17

Gary Cooper is my favorite actor and this is an excellent collection to showcase his diversity as an actor.

The Winning of Barbara Worth is a silent film made in 1926 and was his first credited screen appearance. The story revolves around a young woman named Barbara Worth, her family and other members of the town they live in out in the Nevada desert where they are trying to reroute the Colorado river in order to irrigate the town and make it more habitable. After a year of appearing in movies as a stunt rider, a 25 year old Gary lobbied to win the supporting role of Abe Lee, the son of the surveyor who is working on the irrigation project and a childhood friend of Barbara who he is also in love with. He had already been hired to be a stunt man but he wanted to try his hand at actual acting. They had already cast that part but the actor who was to play it was still finishing another movie. As it became clear he would not be able to make it they gave Gary the part. The irrigation project is successful and the river is diverted but unfortunately after a short time the system is in danger of failing and flooding the town. Gary's character must endure a 24-hour horse ride into town from the dam site to warn them. He is supposed to arrive at Barbara's house and knock on the door. When it is opened he is to say the dam is about to break and then fall flat on his face worn out from his long, arduous journey. He absolutely nailed the scene and indeed he was so good that the studio was afraid he would end up being the star of the picture and not Ronald Colman who plays the lead and is the son of the man in charge of the dam construction project. They were instructed to either cut that scene or reshoot it with Colman making the journey instead, they opted to cut it so unfortunately it does not appear in the film. However this scene as well as his others gave everyone a glimpse of the wonderul, natural acting ability Gary had even that early in his career. This movie was a huge hit when it was originally released and it has an interesting story and incredible special effects as seen when the dam does break and the town floods.

The Real Glory was made in 1939 and is set in the Phillipines during the early 1900s. Gary plays an army doctor named Bill Canavan and his outfit is part of a small group of soldiers that are left on the island to try and help the natives defend themselves from other warring tribes. It is a very good adventure story with lots of scenes shot in the jungles and also in raging rivers. There's a nice love story mixed in and the characters are well developed and very likeable.

Vera Cruz was made in 1954 by Burt Lancaster's production company and he costars with Gary in this very entertaining western set in and filmed in Mexico. Gary and Burt play two men who sell their services as soldiers of fortune to the highest bidder during the Mexican revolution of 1866. They end up on the side of the emperor and are charged with protecting a lady friend of the emperor on her journey to Vera Cruz. However it gets complicated when the two men realize that along with the beautiful woman they are also transporting a large chest of gold that is going to be used to buy weapons. They along with the woman played by Denise Darcel hatch a plan to make off with the gold themselves. Burt and Denise for selfish reasons but Gary intends to give it to the people who are fighting to oust the emperor. There are many wonderful scenes including displays of fancy sharp shooting at the emperor's palace and also of a festival in a small Mexican town with brightly colored costumes and decorations. Wonderful acting performances all around and a very entertaining film.

The Cowboy and the Lady was released in 1938 and is a very funny, charming story about a wealthy young woman played by Merle Oberon whose father is running for president. She has a very boring life and is not allowed to have much fun so one night she rebels and goes to a night club to dance but unbeknownst to her it's also a gambling den which is raided by the police. In order to keep her out of any more trouble her father sends her to his house in Palm Springs. Here she meets a cowboy played by Gary who is in town for the rodeo. He's from Montana (in real life he was from Montana) and he's making the rodeo circuit looking for a wife. She pretends to be a ladies maid so no one will discover her real identity of a presidential candidates daughter and she and Gary fall in love. He proposes to her but she brushes him off because she knows her father wouldn't approve of her marrying a cowboy. Her heart gets the better of her however and she catches the boat he's sailing to Galveston on just as it's leaving. While on the trip they get married and she decides to head back home to Palm Springs while he finishes up his tour with the rodeo then they will meet back up at his Montana ranch. However before that can happen he discovers that she lied to him about who she was. But don't worry, it has a happy ending and is just a joy to watch. My favorite scene is of Gary on his ranch pretending to play house in the new home he's building. It's just a frame so all the workers on the ranch can see him pretending to seat his wife at the dinner table and then also pretending to eat. When he's caught he invites them all inside and serves them imaginary drinks!!!

      5 out of 5 stars Great.......2007-04-23

This is a great movie. This is my ALL time favorite Goosebumps movie. I love them all, but this one is very simple to understand, and the twist is not to confusing, and the main character is likeable.

I reccomend this movie to anyone who likes Goosebumps. There is a lot of suspense in this movie. It's not the kind of movie that you want the good guy to loose. I was really afraid he would get caught in some of he scenes. There is a great twist at the end of this movie. I thought it would be something completely different. It is the best and probably is the best and easyist to understand. If you want to find out what this great twist is, BUY THIS MOVIE. I gaurentee you will like this movie. Here is what it is about.

The movie starts out when the main character Brian plays a prank on his little brother. Apperently he has done this before and his parents are sick of it, so they send him to a military type of school called the Perfect School. He then finds out that strange things are happening at the school. To find out what happens, see this movie!

      4 out of 5 stars Perfect School.......2007-01-02

This episode was alright. I thought the first episode was a little slow and nothing that exciting happened. On the second episode they explain everything thats going on. This episode is about a boy who gets sent away to the perfect school by his parents. He then realizes that theres something odd about the school. To find out more about this episode you should definetly watch it.

5 out of 5 stars Perfect School gets a perfect score .......2006-09-11

The Perfect School is one of the best Goosebumps that my seven and nine year olds have ever seen. They liked the ending because it had a clever twist. It wasn't too scary and had just the right amount of suspense.

      5 out of 5 stars Scary House.......2007-01-02

This Dvd includes 2 episodes, the house of no return and the haunted house game. THe house of no return was good, but nothing that scary happened until right before the episode ended. I kind of wanted to know what would would happen next when this one was over. The haunted house game was good to. I found this episode to be more funny than scary. This one is about two kids who get trapped inside a scary game and then they try to escape. this dvd is definetly worth watching.

      5 out of 5 stars Do I really need a (...) title?.......2005-10-06

Ok there is not really an episode on this DVD called SCARY HOUSE.
But who really cares!? I actully sent a (...)letter to R.L. Stine asking him to release a GOOSEBUMPS SEASON on DVD, and so when Isaw this posted on borders.com I really thought this was a season of Goosebumps released to DVD. But whatcha' gonna' do? But I have to say for all you people who want a new GOOSEBUMPS DVD then stay the hell away from this! It's nothin' like Goosebumps, it's like the writers of MY TEACHER ATE MY HOMEWORK actully stepped over to write for GOOSEBUMPS, but no. I looked at the opening credits of of THE HOUSE OF NO RETURN(the first episode on this DVD) and it said teliplay by BILLY BROWN&DAN ANGLE.-THE BRIAN

This is the near-legendary video that started the trend of songs for kids on video in 1986. The footage of kids playing in houses and backyards has a delightful homemade quality and is anchored by the songs of Hap Palmer, once dubbed the "Bob Dylan of the diaper set." His songs do have a nice folksiness that is just right. From the very first song, "Piggy Toes," you can see where the video is aimed: the Sesame Street group of infants to 6-year-olds. Palmer has a gift for writing bouncy numbers that go beyond the normal subject matter. "My Mommy Comes Back" speaks to kids who are left at Grandma's or a day care center ("my mommy comes back, she always comes back..."). Other songs on the 30-minute tape include "Shout & Whisper," "Rolling," and the self-explanatory "Today I Took My Diapers Off." --Doug Thomas

      Description

Hap Palmer's sing-a-long tune invite childern to clap their hands, stomp their feet, dance and act out the lyrics. Songs include, "Piggy Toes", "Security", and "Today I Took My Diapers Off" among others.

5 out of 5 stars Baby Songs: Original.......2007-07-31

I had this on Video for my daughter who is now 13 and was thrilled to see it available on DVD so my 1 year old son can enjoy it. No matter what the times, babies & kids just love to watch this, the music is cute and they use REAL kids which is nice instead of characters or cartoons. Thumbs up in my book.

      5 out of 5 stars Triplet Mom's LIFESAVER.......2007-06-03

Ok, to begin with I had no idea who Hap was. I just knew that I didn't want my triplets hooked on broadcast TV stuff that was full of marketing, commercials, etc. So we ordered BabyFirstTV (kinda like HBO for babies) and during the programming they would show these videos. It didn't take long for me to notice that my kids were MESMERIZED by Palmer's music videos. I quickly recognized the prints and hairstyles from my own childhood (80's kid) and went on a search until I found the DVD's here. The kids LOVED them and now that they are almost two they actually ask for them by name. I would HIGHLY recommend these DVD's to anyone who is interested in exposing their children to music, rhyming, social skills, development skills, sillyness and laughter via your DVD player. I am not saying they take the place of actual experiences but they sure do enhance them. You don't know how handy it is to get your triplet toddlers to quickly cooperate and follow instructions by just singing a simple song to them. Anyway, long story short.... WE LOVE HAP PALMER AND THESE DVDs!

5 out of 5 stars So glad I found it!.......2007-05-21

I can't believe they still make this on DVD! I bought this on VHS back in 1990 for my son and then my daughter. He is now 17 and she is 13 and I just had another baby. I thought about how much they used to love this video. I figured I would give it a shot and try to find it and here it is. My kids used to watch it non-stop when they were little. I ordered it and can't wait to get it for my new baby.

4 out of 5 stars weird but true.......2007-05-15

This video is so cheesy and silly and seemingly low budget but for some reason, I haven't met a baby who isn't mesmerized by it. I had it for my kids and I just bought it for my new neice. Works every time.

      5 out of 5 stars Great!.......2007-04-18

This was a great movie in our house. It taught the kids how to get dressed and use the potty. It is now gone since we sold it at a yard sale.

      5 out of 5 stars good.......2007-01-04

i have enjoyed this movie since i was a child and its a great movie.

      2 out of 5 stars Seriously Lacking..........2005-12-29

I was extremely disappointed with this movie. This movie really sucks compared to the first one. First a kid named Justin becomes a Power Ranger after another one is injured and the character and the acting just doesn't cut it. What also sucks is that Kimberly and Jason from the original Mighty Morphin PRs are there and it is clear that Tommy still have feelings for Kimberly and as a fan of the Tommy/Kimberly romance Kat being there just ruins everything. Divatox is cool as a villian but doesn't compare to Rita and Ivan Ooze as she is too conceited and superficial which gets annoying after a while. Overall, at this point the series Power Rangers has changed so much that what made the Power Rangers popular is completely GONE. I can't even identify with the characters anymore. EVERYTHING has changed. The only thing I did like was the technological advances in their Zords and their gadgets. Thats it.

1 out of 5 stars NOT for young children.......2005-12-19

My 3 year old son got so bored watching this movie, although he is a big fan of power rangers (he has to see every dvd he owns every day at least once) his complain was that the power rangers only wear their costumes in 2 or 3 scenes.

5 out of 5 stars Power Rangers DVD.......2005-08-27

For the product being used, it was in perfect condition. Very pleased with my purchase!

5 out of 5 stars Turbo Power Baby!!!.......2005-06-03

ok at first I didn't think this movie would be any good, I wasn't a big fan of katherine and don't even remember tanya but forgetting that It actually turned out to be a really good movie especially seeing as how not only was there there the now infamous
"Shift Into Turbo" line but more importantly fans of the kim/tommy relationship will be very happy seeing as how there was the definate look of love when he find out what happened to her not to mention the times he's calling out to her and desperatly tryin to find her [don't want to give away those scenes]. Also, with a great plot that was a little better than the first movie and an awesome soundtrack there was just a hint of a little somthing going on with kimberly and jason so hopfully fans of the show will find somthing to talk about and find scenes in there that their gonna end up loving for a long time...my only problem was the end because they spent a fair amout of time on buildup with k/t -{{ remember the end credits anyone? he so wanted to hug her amoung other things}}- and to bring in the kat thing was a bad move, it lacked any feeling what so ever and was just fake in having it in there buy in spite of that I loved it alot.
PS- take not as i'm sure one of the only reasons why it ended that way was because with the series 1-3 and this alpha's magical christmas thing that i've just heard about and the stupid "letter" that i won't bring up i'm sure that they had it in there because ppl were asking about a possible reunite and it wasn't going to happen whick s#cks! I could go on but it's suppsed to be a review so i won't. But it was cool to see ernie in the end fight scene.

I purchased Dinotopia the Series for my 11 year old son. He had just finished reading the book that the series was based on for a school project. He just loved the series, as did I. I would recommend this as a good family series.

      1 out of 5 stars not subtitled/closed-captioned.......2007-04-21

Do not buy if hearing impaired. Cheap people who made the DVD did not subtitle or close-caption. Saw original show on TV and it was captioned.

      4 out of 5 stars Not necessarily a sci-fi fan..........2007-01-14

...But I am, however, a big fan of actor Shiloh Strong. Thanks for bringing him back from obscurity. He's still swoonworthy after all these years!

But seriously, the series is actually really good. It's got a lot of action, the acting is pretty good, and the FX are impressive. The one thing that I was unhappy about was the special features. I had expected them to be more about the series and less about the origional mini series. I was sorely mistaken. They were, as it seems, also more geared towards a younger audience, which kind of made me feel like the narration was meant for a 5yr old.

Oh well, it's still a great show and I enjoyed it immensely!

This wasn't the cream of the crop in Goosebumps episodes, but these 3 episodes were okay. I may be wrong, but these 3 episodes were never actually books, at least in the original Goosebumps book series. It shows in the layout of these episodes. There's just that feel that these were "made for TV." In any event, they're worth a watch if you're into Goosebumps. Also, if you're interested, please email me at pwherman@gmail.com for information on obtaining a complete 7 DVD-set of Goosebumps episodes.

1 out of 5 stars Not the best Goosebumps out there.......2006-06-13

I bought this for my 2 daughters (3 & 7) who borrowed a goosebumps video from a friend and loved it. We bought 3 goosebumps episodes based on the reviews (Chillogy, Deep Trouble, Scary House). Chillogy was terrible. It was neither scary (in the goosebumps way) nor very interesting. It was really more of a super-weak attempt at a twilight zone episode for kids that I would guess was done to have enough episodes for a season. The other two Goosebumps were exactly what we expected. They were scary in a kid-friendly way and had stories that kept the kids engaged. I would highly recommend Deep Trouble & Scary House for younger kids. If you really want to check out Chillogy, rent it before buying.

5 out of 5 stars This is an awesome goosebumps!!!.......2007-02-24

I love this episode!!! I also read the book for this episode and it was even better, but the episode is still great. This dvd is about a girl named Allison who runs over a cat with her bike... and then to find out what happens you have to watch this one. Two thumbs up!!!!!

      4 out of 5 stars Scary cat!.......2007-01-15

This movie was good, but could have been better if it wasn't done on the movie set. Would have been better if the girl was acting in a school play. And the demon cat was not like a cat, more like a gremlin. Should have made it look like a real cat- or change the name to "Cry of the Gremlin!" It was scary, though and I enjoyed the show! The storyline was good!

3 out of 5 stars I have not seen this movie but I am just making a general comment .......2006-01-22

I saw a DVD of it yesterday in Wal-Mart for $5.50 and almost bought it on the strength of the back cover, showing the half-cat/half-human that another reviewer referred to. Hilarious! But still very creepy-looking. I really do hope to find this as a rental someday but doubt I will, especially not living in Canada.

Anyway, I resisted buying it and instead wrote the title down so I could come back home and review it on the web. This particular Goosebumps movie is not on the IMDB, however, so I am glad I found it here. On the IMDB boards for another Goosebumps title, a fan says that the Goosebumps movies that began being made around 2000 were not as good as those that came before. I suppose this fits into that category, so the person that recommends renting it is likely on the mark. So no, I did not see this movie, hence the neutral 3 stars, and no, I don't give a rat's patootie if this review "helped you" or not.

5 out of 5 stars RUNNING OVER A CAT WITH YOUR BICYCLE? Dont think about it.......2005-11-08

This movie was great, I watched it on Halloween and I could not stop laughing. It's a fun movie to get silly scared with.
Basically In the movie this snot nose girl named allison is an actress filming a horror movie. Allison collects stuffed toy mouses.(LOL right there) so she acts like a big Diva and storms off the movie set when things dont go her way. She winds up running over a cat with her BICYCLE? yea bicycle. She then goes crazy, she starts getting cat characteristics.
THE BEST PART OF THE MOVIE: The deformed cat scientist. Shes half cat half human, her face is so scary and she wants to feed allison to the evil cat. Anyway just get this movie if your looking for a great laugh!

4 out of 5 stars Love My Goosebumps.......2005-09-23

I love all the Goosebumps movies and this one is no exception. It's scary without being too frightening. I can't wait to get the other new ones that recently came out on DVD!
