British soccer star Vinnie Jones stars as--no big stretch--a former soccer star named Danny "Mean Machine" Meehan who gets arrested for drunken assault and sent to prison for three years. Behind bars he finds himself embroiled in web of prison politics, caught between a governor with a gambling problem, a crime boss who lost a lot of money on a game that Meehan lost, and a motley crew of surly prisoners and guards with grudges. It all culminates in a soccer match between a team of guards, led by a hard-nosed warden, and a team of convicts, led by Meehan. Mean Machine is a remake of the Burt Reynolds movie The Longest Yard and the plot is pretty sure-fire; it's hard not to get caught up in the tensions of the big game. Plus, the comical game commentators give the movie a good jolt of humor. --Bret Fetzer

Mean Machine.......2007-01-05
A British translation of "The Longest Yard," using Soccer instead of american football. It is a fun little movie, with typical Brit humor.
you've gotta see this movie........2006-08-04
If you're a Guy Ritchie fan, or at least think you are, the nthis movie is for you!
mean machine.......2006-07-20
My son, being a hugh soccer fan liked it a lot. I liked the "longest yard" story line.
Great Film!!!.......2006-06-22
Excellent combination of comedy and action. Very interesting to have a British version also. Vinnie Jones and Jason Statham both are wonderful actors in this film. I've watched it many times and will watch it many times more!
Mean Machine.......2006-05-31
I bought this movie in my junior year of University studying Finance when all the pressure was on to get the marks and the work load was piling up. This movie was a saving grace I felt a bit like I was in prison having to study 24/7 and this movie was a riot.
SKA Films are great: Lock, stock and two smoking barrells and Snatch were hilarious films that I recited with my friends over and over. These three films had interesting plots that dipped and dived leaving people biting their finger tips clean off. The actors are brilliant, they are witty and believably geniune establishing a uproarious rapport. Stars to whatch for are
Jason Fleming: (Doctor Jeckyl in the League of Extraodinary Gentlemen, Bob likely aka the commentator "do him!" & "lost the !@#!@%$# plot!" in Mean machine Machine, Darren in Snatch.
Vinnie Jones: (e's a sweeper 'n this one and the lead man, formerly the hitman in Lock Stock, brings the hutspah)
Jason Stratham: (now famous from the Transporter one and two, in this e's a raving lunatic called only monk, not to be confused with Tony Shaloob?! what better choice for a last line of defense)
Vas Blackwood (aka who?, e's the cheeky gov from Lock, Stock who blew a load of the tidily on the guy ou wanted the footy turned down, in this one e's the manager Massive)
So for those who haven't seen the original longest yard with Burt"the mustache" Renolds the plot is about a a famous football star who fallen from grace finds his way into incarceration. Upon doing so the warden(aka wanker), makes it clear that he will coach the guards who have an after work football team. The star Mean Machine Mehann agrees on the condition that he orchistrate a pre-season "friendly" between the guards and the cons, the latter will be picked and coached by Vinnie Jones.
Pick this up it never received the marketing that would usually accompany a film this good but that why there's me. Its witty, the plot is good and the charecters are properly developed. I've watched it uh....about a hundred times! I'm sure that I'll watch it a hundred times more!

The Human Race Club is a group of animated gradeschoolers who meet in their clubhouse, plan activities, and learn life lessons together. In this 23-minute episode, the kids learn the hard way that the out-of-control emotions of one person can hurt others. Guided by an animated version of Joy Berry (producer of this video series and author of the "Living Skills" and "Let's Talk About It" kids' books), viewers follow the quintet as they vote to answer the challenge of a rival baseball team and recall another less-than-successful competition. When Maggie misunderstands the group's meeting minutes and believes someone else was chosen to steer their go-cart in the town derby, she angrily takes the club's hand-built vehicle on a disastrous ride. With its explicitly spelled-out messages, this series barely passes for entertainment and would be most useful in schools or for behavioral specialists working with children. (Ages 8 to 12) --Kimberly Heinrichs

Product Description
Marvel's The Incredible Hulk Complete Comic Book Collection Collectors Edition
PLUS:
Universal's Incredible Hulk Original TV Series Premiere DVD will satisfy fans of the CBS television series by offering the two-hour 1978 pilot, as well as the feature-length second-season opener, "Married," and a commentary track by series creator Kenneth Johnson. In bringing the Hulk to TV, Johnson decided to focus on its human alter ego, scientist Bruce Banner (here renamed David), rather than its rampages. In the pilot, Banner (Bill Bixby) is haunted by the death of his wife and unleashes his untapped rage in the form of a monstrous creature (Lou Ferrigno) after experimenting with radiation. And in "Married," Banner falls for a researcher (Mariette Hartley in an Emmy-winning performance) who attempts to cure his "hulk-outs." Johnson's solid scripting and direction and fine performances from the leads made the series a critical and audience favorite during its network run, and the DVD--deceptive cover art aside (which features images from the 2003 Hulk theatrical feature)--should again please longtime fans and novice viewers alike.
