I never get sick of watching this show. Glad to have it on DVD!

5 out of 5 stars There's blood in my stool!.......2007-08-13

Easily one of the greatest shows on TV, and personally, one of the few shows in existence nowadays worth watching. What the creators did was take a Japanese game show from the 80s called 'Takeshi's Castle', edit it down and add some dirty and lowbrow 'dubbing' to turn it into one of the greatest and funniest sport shows on TV. You'll wince in vicarious pain as these people twist, contort, and bruise themselves on rolling logs and sinking rocks, and clench your sides with laughter at such dialog as "A helmet will keep you from getting knocked out, but not knocked up" and "Now back to Guy who's got Bulimia" after a supermodel named Bulimia Babaganoosh gets eliminated and is forced to be interviewed by a perverse 'French' reporter in a pith helmet named Guy (pronounced "ghee") LeDouche.

And a little message to those who feel that MXC is a disgrace to the show Takeshi's Castle, I'd like to point out that "Beat" Takeshi Kitano (better known as "Vic Romano" to MXC fans) fully supports and loves MXC and finds it hilarious. If Takeshi Kitano can find the humor in MXC, so can you.

In a world forced to live without Mystery Science Theater 3000, we have been given a gift....called Most Extreme Elimination Challenge!!

5 out of 5 stars Awesome Show.......2007-07-21

Ever since I started watching the show on Spike TV I was hoping it would be available on DVD. I definitely recommend this show to anyone who loves satire.

5 out of 5 stars MXC Season 1 DVD.......2007-06-08

Can't get enough MXC, it's one of the best TV shows there is. Great buy for any fan of MXC, at a price that is well worth it!

5 out of 5 stars Funny Stuff.......2007-05-12

Most Extreme Elimination is brilliant writing disguised as slap-stick comedy...they get a group of people willing to risk making complete fools of themselves while the "masters of ceremony" make the funniest comments about their performance. I never miss MXC on television and enjoy watching this dvd each time I play it.

Lords of Dogtown captures the sheer kinetic joy of skateboarding like no other movie (except, perhaps, Dogtown and Z Boys, a documentary about the very skateboarders this movie depicts). Set in the mid-1970s in Venice, CA--a.k.a. Dogtown--the movie starts with three young aspiring surfers turned skateboarders: Stacy (John Robinson, Elephant), Jay (Emile Hirsch, The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys), and Tony (Victor Rasuk, Raising Victor Vargas). When alpha-stoner Skip (Heath Ledger, A Knight's Tale) recognizes the potential of skateboarding as a new sport, his surf shop becomes the center of the boys' universe. They swiftly rise as skateboarding stars and find their brotherhood threatened by sex, money, fame, and ego--it's a common enough story, but director Catherine Hardwicke (Thirteen) has a gift for capturing the raw messiness of life. Lords of Dogtown seems to unfold haphazardly, yet every scene moves the increasingly dizzy rise (or fall) of each skater forward with headlong momentum. The excellent cast includes Rebecca De Mornay (Risky Business), Johnny Knoxville (Jackass: The Movie), and Nikki Reed (Thirteen). Lords of Dogtown, written by skater Stacy Peralta (and based on his own life), both celebrates the excitement of testosterone-fueled recklessness and quietly reflects on the cost of getting what you want. --Bret Fetzer

Description

LORDS OF DOGTOWN tells the radical true story behind three teenage surfers from Venice Beach, California, who took skateboarding to the extreme and changed the world of sports forever. Stacy Peralta (John Robinson, Elephant), Tony Alva (Victor Rasuk, Raising Victor Vargas) and Jay Adams (Emile Hirsch, The Girl Next Door) are the Z-Boys, a bunch of nobodies until they create a new style of skateboarding that becomes a worldwide phenomenon. But when their hobby becomes a business, the success shreds their friendship. Directed by Catherine Hardwicke (thirteen) and written by Stacy Peralta, Lords of Dogtown is "...a dazzling daredevil ride." (Peter Travers, ROLLING STONE)

3 out of 5 stars Lords of something, but I am not so sure about Dogtown..........2007-08-16

That's right. I do things in pairs. After doubly watching the regular version of "Dogtown and Z-Boys" as well as listening to the audio commentary, I decided to watch the Catherine Hardwicke full-fledged Hollywood version of Peralta's voice. With two audio commentaries, plenty of behind the scenes information, as well as a cornucopia of in-your-face skateboarding, I believe I have seen every angle of this film - from Catherine's vision to the completely misrepresented time frame for these three young friends that changed history. This is the "unleashed/unrated" version, and you are in for a treat. Catherine and team left no stone unturned and brought us the Z-Boys with loud 70s music, tween issues, and a story that was connected with the feeblest of string. For those reading this review, I am going to compare the two films - why? Not only because I can, but because these two - both "Lords of Dogtown" and "Dogtown and Z-Boys" are companion films. All due in part to an issue in Rolling Stone magazine, these two films were allowed a green light - one was made with heart, passion, and a sense of nostalgia, while the other (still using the same scribe), was made with the green of the dollar deeply in mind. It isn't the fact that I disliked "Lords of Dogtown", I just finished watching it three times, it was the fact that I think it over amplifies the truth and dissolves the passion that Peralta created with his documentary.

Hardwicke, whom many of you remember as the brain child behind the fabulously gritty drama "thirteen", helms this project with the same gumption that she enlisted for her prior film. Using some of the same crew, same filming technique, and an overhyped budget this film demonstrates that even the dirtiest of teen struggles can be glossed over to Hollywood standards. Egos aside, we are handed a Hardwicke special which includes (but is not limited to) shirtless tween hunks, a sense of invincibility over adults, a rockin' good soundtrack, a time frame that breaks all borders, and finally two actual stars that would be used to introduce an older audience that may not be familiar with teen main characters to pack theaters and make sure someone's child gets a college tuition. I am harsh with this film - again, why? - because this was supposed to be a group that was anti-establishment, anti-normality, anti-boundaries, yet seemed to fit well within this Hollywood box. I witnessed the innovators of a generation, sans Jay Adams, sell their souls for corporate glory. Sure, they may have wanted their story to be told for a new generation of skaters, but there could have been a better way to portray this creativity, struggle, and eventual breakdown of friendships. This was supposed to be like the grittier "Stand by Me", when instead it felt like Disney was an independent benefactor.

I thought Hardwicke's choice of cinematography, camera angle, and story placement seemed dated. She did this already in "thirteen", I wanted her to explore more boundaries, stronger moments, and really define herself as a director. Instead, I watched three times (two audio commentaries plague this disc) a director mimic their already golden film - even the choice of casting some of the same actors from "thirteen". After watching "Dogtown and Z-Boys", I was prepared to see a better side to their story. I wanted Hardwicke to take me places that Peralta's minimal budget couldn't. With Peralta writing the story, I didn't think he would allow anything to slip by. I was wrong. His choice to create small, more insignificant characters to help build credibility in our central three characters was pathetic. I wanted Peralta to interact with everyone from the Zephyr skate team, not just Jay, Tony, and himself. This was a collaborative effort from everyone, and not giving everyone their moment in the spotlight just seemed to make me grumpy. I loved hearing everyone's voice during the "Dogtown and Z-Boys" film, and it hurt to just be focused on three while others were equally as successful. If this were the case, we should have had only one story - instead of trying to intermingle everything together. Stories were dropped, players were disrespected, and the true story became a muddled mess of semi-truth and Hollywood truth. Our actors did what they could, but were shaky as the main characters. John Robinson felt like he was back filming "Elephant 2", I just couldn't see him as any other character. Emile Hirsch was goofy, while I realized that Jay Adams was crazy (as we all know someone from our past like him), he just came off as arrogant and acting like he was a tormented teen. His scene on the burned pier with Heath was laughable at best. Victor, as Tony Alva, didn't carry the weight he was supposed to. He wasn't the best of the group, but he was the strongest, but Victor couldn't put any strength behind him. The three players did a decent job, but it was obvious from the opening scene that they weren't going to win awards for their portrayals.

I must compliment Hardwicke for her choice of Heath Ledger as Skip. From the documentary to the silver screen, Ledger did an amazing job of bringing this pivotal character to life. His voice, his mannerisms, his taut demeanor was exactly like watching the documentary. I loved it. It gave me faith that Heath could pull off The Joker in the upcoming "Batman" film. Alas, I cannot say the same for Rebecca De Mornay (who needs to do some independent work to get back into the business) and Johnny Knoxville. He is growing into an actor, but this was not the right character for him to tackle. Tony's financier needed to be meaner, pushier, and darker - none of which came from funnyman Knoxville. Everyone else involved seemed to hit their stride, as I enjoyed seeing some of my favorites playing cameo roles throughout the film. I must give credit to Hardwicke here as well for really bringing some (not all) of these guys into the project - I just wish she would have listened to them more when developing her style. She should have at least used all of them in the commentary, by just using Peralta and Alva, we knew who her favorites were. Where was Skip's side of the story?

Overall, I cannot say that this film compares in anyway, shape, or form to the documentary that Peralta created. I know that he wrote this film too, but it was obvious that one was written with the soul and the other was developed for the money. "Dogtown and Z-Boys" spoke for itself, giving us a raw taste of what life was like back in the 70s on Venice Beach and in innovation that the surfers had for bringing a new style of sport into the limelight. I loved the music again, "Maggie May" near the end really struck a chord for me and developed Skip into this true player. I cannot suggest this film to friends because I will be devoting my time to suggesting the more impassioned "Dogtown and Z-Boys" - especially the audio commentary - to them. I say watch the documentary, unless you like your stories with glossier endings.

2 out of 5 stars For Skating Fans Only.......2007-07-29

You have to be into skate boarding to enjoy this movie, and I have to confess, I'm not that into skate boarding. The only reason I even watched this movie is because the power was out at my house due to a thunder storm and I had available a battery powered DVD player and my sister-in-law has this on DVD. The story is decent, but it does have it's dull parts. If you are not into skateboards now, this film won't convince you to be. This is mainly for those who love the sport only.

The acting is good, but there isn't anything that really stands out, you see nothing more than what you woul don ESPN. But that's the point, the evolultion of how it became a mainstream sport is the entire role of the movie. The problem is that the characters are just one dimensional and it doesn't really matter what happens to the characters during the film. When it is was over, I thought, oh well. It didn't leave me breathless and I don't think I will ever see this movie again, nor do I want to. The highlight of the film was the short cameo of Tony Hawk, but even that was predictable, how can you have a movie about this topic and not have Tony Hawk somewhere in it?

Like I said, if you aren't into skateboards, you won't like the movie. But for skateboarding enthusiasts, you have probably found heaven in DVD form.

4 out of 5 stars Sidewalk Surfers Get A Walk in the Sun.......2007-06-05

Lords is a high energy film that drags the audience speeding along with it, tracing the early history of skateboarding in Venice, California.

We follow the fortunes of four roughly 15 to 17 year old boys and some of their girlfriends along with an alcoholic skateboard entrepreneur named Skip.

The Lords start their day by boarding off the roofs of the run-down rentals of their parents, in Venice. They hook a ride on a city transit bus until the driver spots them in the rear view and starts fish-tailing to shake them off.

Which turns out to be no problem. Our heroes drop off the bus jag, and segue into a line of stalled traffic, weaving in and out of the car line-up at high speed, by turns, dazzling and angering assorted drivers. Later, the most daring of the Four performs the crazy trick of boarding right thru a red light at a dangerous intersection without being hit.

Skip badgers and cajoles the kids constantly. He exploits them to promote the skateboards he is manufacturing at his Zephyr surfing gear and skateboard store. We are at the dawn of the Skateboard craze and Skip is bent on becoming a millionaire early. Only, he drinks quite a bit and shows signs of being a burnt-out 35 year old hippie.

That is the MO of one of the kid's Moms too, played by Rebecca De Mornay, who is so gone she uses expressions like "far out" and "man" and "can you dig it?" Even her kids treat her like a whacked out hippie. There is a heavy subtext of abused kids with parents who've failed to grow up.

At one point, De Mornay's current "old man" is moving out, and asks her reluctant son to help him, cautioning him to put a blanket over an enormous clear garbage bag of marijuana before carrying it to his car, and offering his surf board as a guilty pay-off for abandoning him, a scene both appalling and amusing to the audience.

Skip keeps running his hand-to-mouth manufacturing enterprise, employing other whacked hippies like himself, only working when they need enough jack to make a connection. Its hard to keep a production schedule when your 'groovy' friends refuse to show up for work. I've just realized, looking at the cast on IMDb, that the cool but whacked Skip is Australian Heartthrob Heath Ledger. This part is so good and Ledger so good in it, he deserves an Oscar. I didn't recognize him in his granny seventies blonde long hair. Its his best work on screen.

The Lords are perplexed and demoralized by the growing showbiz that is starting to overtake boarding. They gradually have given up on Skip, and begun to quarrel. But before falling completely apart, they define a new stunt that quickly makes them the crowned heads of sidewalk surfing.

Los Angeles Area pool-owners are ordered to drain their pools. The Lords decide to practice new stunts in empty pools, stealing into backyards the instant the owners go to work. The audience watches as the surfers perform outrageous tricks in the pools. An article appears in Skateboarding, another in People. Suddenly our boys are stars!

Only not all of them like it. An evil presence has intruded into their idyllic childhoods. One of the Lords steals a girl from a more waspish Lord, who looks like he is one of the Hansens singing group. There's a lot of long blond summer surfing hair on these guys. Only one of them has dark hair. One Lord refuses to accept any of the offers. He turns skinhead and starts hanging out with a gang. The Waspish one gets an endorsement deal and starts touring for a board company. Another of the Lords wants all the marbles, and signs with a Hollywood type who travels with an entourage of hangers-on and cheap bimbos in a longish limousine.

The hapless Skip has lost his guys and his business. We see him hand crafting a surfboard in the back of someone Else's surfing store. A clerk from the retail side comes in and asks if he'll have a customer's board ready by the next day. Skip says yeah, sure. When they leave, Skip relaxes, lights a cig, reaches for his hidden bottle, turns on the radio, acts out a lip-synched Maggie Mae that would put Rod Stewart out of business, then quietly returns to work. The whole 45 second turn is the best thing in the movie.

The wonderful ease of the Lords and the culture they created is spoiled by Success. The Lords stop seeing one another until the dark-haired kid develops a brain tumor and the others, finding success is not what its cracked up to be, gather at his father's dry pool for a rendezvous. An American Graffitti-style Epilogue tells us who the Lords become when they finally grow up.

When the lights go up I'm surprised to find two pairs of girls the only audience viewing the film with me. Voila!, why didn't I see it? This is a chick flick, even a skin movie for girls, since there is quite a bit of bared male surface in it. In the lobby, I notice two of the girls are dressed totally in black, wearing the wool knit hats cool black guys now affect year around, and sporting chains that run from the belt loops of black pants to enormous truckers wallets in their back pockets.

Lords reminds me a little of the stylish Fast and the Furious of a few years ago, but its ten times better. I'm still trying to figure out those two girls.

4 out of 5 stars Lords of Dogtown.......2007-06-02

I purchased this as a gift for my 15 year old son, who is an avid skateboarder. I found this PG-13 DVD only available at Amazon. There is an R rated version out however, I recommend the PG-13 for your teens.
I have not seen the movie myself.

4 out of 5 stars woodpushers go mainstream.......2007-01-25

This retrospective docu-drama ("inspired by a true story") was written by Stacy Peralta, one of the central characters in the film who also wrote the earlier genuine documentary called Dogtown and Z-Boys (2001). Set in Venice Beach in 1975, it follows the fortunes of three teenage surfers-turned-skateboarders who discovered the magic of attaching polyurethane wheels to the bottom of mini-surfboards: "They come from oil, and they grip. You can ride on walls." The film has very little plot or character development, a lot of drugs and alcohol, and the dialogue seldom moves beyond verbal towel-snapping, but there is enjoyable footage of these "wood-pushers" careening on car tops, weaving between traffic, carving empty swimming pools, hitching on the rear bumpers of buses, and competing in the first national skateboard competitions. This film hardly rises to the quality of what Riding Giants did for surfing, but it still provokes some interesting questions about how a small group of stoned beach bums who were greatly disenfranchised from mainstream society jump-started what is now a billion dollar industry complete with X-Games on ESPN.

Easily as funny as season one, if not funnier. New games, new groups, and new laughs. The behind the scenes footage was very inciteful as well. Wouldn't have pictured the group of people putting this together as they are. Definitley a must buy.

This was a great season of MXC, and the last great season to me. The only thing im unsure of is how many episodes are on this set. The season had a total of 27 episodes, and the previous dvd's had 13 episodes each(the complete seasons). They were both 260 minutes long, and this one says its 260 minutes so im assuming it has half the season unless its a misprint. Ill list the episodes from the whole season though just so yous can see which episodes might be on it.

5 out of 5 stars A fantastic WWE Pay-Per-View [And i was there to see it!].......2007-08-27

I have not yet bought the dvd for this PPV, But i had tickets to this show and i was there to see the entire show live and in person! I was in the Richmond Coliseum the night this event took place and i had the time of my life! It was about time WWE had a worthwhile PPV that came to Richmond, Va! This PPV was 10 times better than Survivor Series 2006 and 20 times better than December To Dismember [Which took place only 2 weeks before this and was undoubtedly the worst Pay-Per-View of the year]. The show was a lot better than it looks [Except for the lackluster main event, But the undercard more than makes up for that match]. Here's my opinion of the matches of this show:

1. Inferno Match
Kane Vs. MVP
This was not the greatest inferno match [That honor goes to Undertaker Vs. Kane from In Your House 22:Unforgiven, Which is an extra feature on this dvd], But it was a good way to open the show. It was a pretty decent match and it was pretty funny at the end when MVP's outfit caught on fire. Kane won. ***

2. 4-Way Ladder Match for the WWE World Tag Team Titles
Champions Paul London & Brian Kendrick Vs. William Regal & Dave Taylor Vs. The Hardy Boyz Vs. MNM
This was undoubtedly the highlight of the whole event and the most memorable thing that occurred in the entire night! Originally going to be another regular tag team title match, Teddy Long came out to the ring before the match and added The Hardy Boyz and MNM to the match and changed it to a 4-Way Ladder Match. The match was extremely exciting and reminds me of the old TLC matches The Hardy's used to have against Edge and Christian and The Dudley's. Everyone involved gave it their all and this just might be the match of the year for 2006! This was an epic match and this match made the whole show [No offense to the other matches, This one was simply just the best!]. This is a must-see match for any wrestling fan and this alone should make you wanna buy this dvd. Also, watch for the deadly accident where the ladder catapults into Mercury's face and actually crushes his nose [I was there to see this and believe me, Mercury had to leave the match because he was bleeding like crazy and it was real]! You will not be dissapointed in this match by any means! Through all this, London & Kendrick retained the titles. ***** [Best match of the night]

3. Boogeyman Vs. The Miz
A forgettable match that could've ruined the momentum of the whole show. Worst match of the night by far! *

4. For the WWE U.S. Title
Champion Chris Benoit [R.I.P.] Vs. Chavo Guererro
While this match was a little better than their Survivor Series match, This was another dissapointment from these two. The match's pacing was not good and a lot of the match was boring. This was not one of the better feuds of 2006. Both of these guys have done way better matches than this. It's just much too unfortunate Benoit ended his life the way he did. Benoit retains the title again. **1/2

5. For the WWE Cruiserweight title
Champion Gregory Helms Vs. Jimmy Wang Yang
This match was a nice, high-flying, action-packed match. For those who were still watching WCW in its final days of existence, You may be able to recognize that Jimmy Wang Yang is actually Yang from the Jung Dragons. Although i don't like his chinese redneck gimmick that he has now, Jimmy Wang Yang is actually a solid wrestler and he proves it in this match with the wonderful aerial moves and risky moves he did. This match had some wonderful back and forth cruiserweight action and was a very enjoyable match. Gregory Helms retained the title. ****

6. Last Ride Match
The Undertaker Vs. Mr. Kennedy
This was even better than their First Blood match from Survivor Series. The match was very entertaining throughout with solid action provided by both men and Mr. Kennedy surprisingly held his own against Undertaker. The ending of the match is the highlight of the entire match and this was another good match that occurred that night. Undertaker wins. ****

7. Lingerie Contest
Kristal Vs. Jillian Hall Vs. Layla Vs. Ashley
Boring! No Stars.

8. John Cena and Batista Vs. King Booker and Finlay
This could've easily taken place on an episode of Smackdown instead of this show. This is not a very good main event, But it's better than that Booker/Batista title match from Survivor Series. The 4 guys here have little chemistry. Booker and Finlay clearly outclass Cena and Batista in terms of wrestling ability. This match was ok, But was rather short for a Pay-Per-View main event. Cena and Batista won. **1/2

Not a bad way at all to end 2006. This was an awesome show in spite of a few weak spots. Wrestling fans should most definitely be satisfied with this show. Highly reccomended!

4 out of 5 stars This ppv ended a few storylines........2007-08-10

For better or for worse. 2006 had some memorable rivalries. This ppv brought some to a finale with a bang.

Inferno Match
MVP vs. Kane
I wasn't too crazy about this feud. I hate the way Kane is being used as a career jobber. He definitly deserved this one. I didn't see all the inferno matches. But I found it shocking to see someone's body burned. The match itself was ok at best. 3/5

WWE Tag Team Championship
Paul London vs. William Regal & Dave Taylor
This was the original card. Teddy Long changed it to a ladder match and added two more teams on the spot. The Hardy's and MNM. This was the best match on the card to me. If you haven't seen this for yourself, then you must see this match. There is one sick spot. 5/5

Boogeyman vs. The Miz
I cant stand the Miz. This match would have been skip material. However, JBL's commentary, ripping Miz apart was something to hear. The match itself was quick. This was a squash match I can watch again though. 4/5

United States Championship
Chris Benoit vs. Chavo Guerrero
I enjoyed this feud for the most part. A good back and forth with a good ending. This match was better to me than their survivor series match. 4/5

Cruiserweight Match
Gregory Helms vs. Jimmy Wang Yang
I can't stand Wang Yang's gimmick. But I like his work. This was a very good cruiserweight match. These two meshed well together. 4/5

Last Ride Match
Undertaker vs. Mr. Kennedy
This should have been the main event. A good way to end this feud. A back and forth fight that even went up about 30 feet. These two beat the he11 out of each other. Great finish for a great match. I really enjoyed this one. 5/5

Naughty or Nice Lingerie Contest
Kristal vs. Jillian vs. Layla vs. Ashley
Nothing special at all. Eye candy and nothing more. 2/5

Batista & Cena vs. King Booker & Finlay
Why couldn't Booker get a one on one rematch? Why drag Cena from Raw to a Smackdown ppv? Some of us actually get tired of Cena. Nothing really special here. Just to spice things up I guess. 2/5

This ppv had a pretty good card. With the exception of the last two matches. This ppv is worth checking out.

5 out of 5 stars Best PPV of 2006.......2007-06-06

Without a doubt, Smackdown delivers the finest pay-per-view the year of 2006 had to offer. Every single match minus one was enjoyable (and even that dud match wasn't *so* bad), and all had amazing moments and most of them had you on the edge of your seats.

Here's my rundown of the matches on this amazing card:

01. Inferno Match: Kane vs. MVP
This was really short, but it served it's purpose - seeing MVP get burnt. Kane set his whole back on fire and watching him run around on fire was shocking. I don't like MVP, so I'm glad Kane won. The most annoying thing about this match was JBL's commentating, I wish that man would just shut up. (8/10)

02. WWE Tag Team Ladder Match: Paul London & Brian Kendrick (c) vs. William Regal & Dave Taylor vs. MNM vs. The Hardyz
Amazing match! I loved how MNM and the Hardyz were added in at the last second and how it was made into a ladder match. All 4 team put on a good show, and the best moment was Jeff Hardy smashing a ladder into Joey Mercury's face - he broke his nose and there was blood everywhere. Paul London & Brian Kendrick picked up the win after Paul London got the belts. Very enjoyable match and one you can watch over and over because you always miss something. (10/10)

03. Boogeyman vs. The Miz
I forget if this was after the ladder match or not, but it doesn't matter because this was the dud of the night. I hate The Miz and he never looks good in the ring. I'm glad the Boogeyman beat him. Skip this, it's the only bad match on the card. (4/10 for the Boogeyman winning)

04. United States Championship Match: Chris Benoit vs. Chavo Guerrero
This was a pretty good match. Chris Benoit is an amazing wrestler, he always looks good in the ring. Chavo is annoying but he's pretty good too. Vickie Guerrero interfering in the match was pointless and unneeded as Chavo and Chris put on a good show on their own. Chris picks up the win deservedly. (8/10)

05. Cruiserweight Championship Match: Gregory Helms vs. Jimmy Wang Yang
I love Jimmy Wang Yang so I enjoyed this match, although he did lose. The Cruiserweights need more recognition, their high-flying antics are entertaining and they always put on a good match. Jimmy put on an amazing show with loads of risky moves, but Gregory picked up the win. (8/10)

06. Last Ride Match: Undertaker vs. Mr. Kennedy
I loved this match - absolutely amazing. The Undertaker is a legend and he can make anybody look good in a match, he carried Mr Kennedy very well. Kennedy put on a tremendous show though - especially when he threw the Undertaker off the set 20 feet down. The best bit of the match was when Kennedy was in the drivers seat of the hearse about to drive it out the ring and the Undertaker sat up behind him. It was like something out of a horror movie, and their facial expressions were priceless. The Undertker wins after a tombstone on the top of the hearse. (10/10)

At this point, the divas (Kristal, Jillian Hall, Layla & Ashley) participated in a lingerie contest with Ashley looking the best. LOL at JBL saying that Santa sucks, that was funny.

07. Batista & John Cena vs. King Booker & Finlay
What a dream team - Batista and John Cena on the same side. This was a great match - Batista and John had great chemistry and worked very well together. There were loads of great spots, like when Hornswoggle (Finlay's little sidekick) kicked himself in the head LOL. Batista and John pick up the win after Batista does a Batista Bomb on King Booker. My favourite moment was when John hugged Batista after the match was over, adorable. (10/10)

This was a very enjoyable and extremely entertaining PPV, and shows that Smackdown knows how to put on a good show. My highlight was the Last Ride match. The only bad bit was Boogeyman vs. The Miz and most of JBL's commentating because he would not shut up about MVP getting burned.

1 out of 5 stars If only WCW was still alive, WWE wouldn't be nothing........2007-04-30

I admit that WWE well, WWF was great back in the classic days with much more wrestling than there todays stuff like adding trash like drama cutscenes, a soap opera show like case but ever since WCW had action back in the 90's, I was urged to see them more than what WWE had & I went to WCW more times than WWE cause clearly WCW had it all, but in 2001, that all changed when WCW lost when they've totally kicked WWE's [...].

If WCW wasn't bankrupt & lost money, WWE wouldn't be the same, damn it.

Wrestling is dead, period.

5 out of 5 stars Match of the Year took place at Armageddon.......2007-03-09

Armageddon 2006 wasn't the greatest PPV of the year, but it's worth buying just to see the 4-way Ladder Match. The Hardyz, MNM, London/Kendrick and Regal/Taylor put on one of the best matches I've ever seen. It must be seen to be believed. The Last Ride Match between Kennedy and Undertaker is also surprisingly good.

5 out of 5 stars Hilarious!.......2006-09-07

This movie is one of the funniest documentaries I've ever seen. I saw this at the Bside release in Austin and laughed from beginning to end. The SAP developed these pretty normal, yet hilarious characters and watched them go through the most grueling and comical of competitions. From drinking while running through a creek to carrying your partner on your back, the amount of alcohol consumed is absolutely stunning. The final event is, by far, the most impressive. I won't spoil it, but to watch these guys drink so much so quickly is an amazing feat that few could pull off, but everyone should try.

Anyone who went through the typical college experience will absolutely love this film. It reminds us of all our youth and how we should grow up but never old. Great film! Highly recommended!

4 out of 5 stars Hysterical drunk view.......2006-07-18

This movie was hilarious. Only four stars 'cause I have yet to see it with sound! I took this with me to the bar and popped it in, hence no sound, the whole bar was in hysterics. It helped that libations were handy. I felt compelled to stay longer than anticipated so as not to dissapoint the bar patrons watching and in fits of laughter! Had a blast and alot of inquiries as to what it was we were watching. Great job, Scott!!! all the best, Marisol

5 out of 5 stars Comments to the "Anders" 1 Star Review.......2006-05-30

I am partial to this movie, as I am the wife of one of the guys in the film. I was sad to read "Anders" review of the film stating that it was bad because of the family aspect of the film, about death and family. These are real guys living real lives. It is a funny movie about drinking beer and hanging out with the guys, but it also shows that these guys are real and deal with the same stuff through out life that alot of guys deal with. I realize that not everyone will like the movie if you are not into drinking and having fun with your friends, but that is what this movie is really about. Guys and girls will love it and you will laugh really hard. Ignore the poor ratings of this movie, unless you are a boring person.

1 out of 5 stars just disc two of season 1 what a waste.......2007-03-09

misleading makes you think you are getting second season when its is simply disc two of season one by itself dumb since the first season is sold as a set. I had to send mine back for credit.

5 out of 5 stars This is a "must have" for MXC Fans!.......2007-03-08

Very pleased with not only the price of this DVD but the fact that I didn't have to purchase Disc One which, I already have. Amazon makes it easy for customers to purchase a variety of items and gears itself towards customer service. Thanks!
