Maybe it's just me ..........2005-03-25

I was at times impressed by this DVD, but for the most part it was mid level quality in my opinion. Maybe to those who were never introduced to the concepts of Qin Na, Dian Mai (Dim Mak), ECT ... this DVD would be an eye opener. However if you have been, this DVD will be a bit boring.

Great try, but more detail is required on this one. The info is out there, but it's not presented in this DVD.

I'm adding to this review after further reasearch, and viewing of this DVD. I was nice the first I wrote in here, because to someone with a blank slate there are valuable tid bits to be picked up from this DVD. HOWEVER, there is NO theory behind this presentation. It's a bunch of info for "public" students. The bubishi has been translated into numberous languages, Pat McCarthy's is a great one in english. But reading the book won't give you the knowledge, this stuff isn't easy in the least ... and this DVD proves that point. There is very little in the way of actual technique in this DVD, and NO theory to back it up. The bubishi is a military guide, not just kicks and punches. I don't know if I was just really lucky growing up training, but the stuff on here is very elementry ... very.

This is a very good presentation on what bubishi is all about. The material on pressure points is second to none.This is a must have for the serious martial artist.George Alexander has taken complicated priciples and made them easy to understand. This has been a great addition to my library, and I'm sure to anyone else who views it. This is a great dvd and is highly recommended.

I own the famous book Bubishi, Martial Arts Spirit. Which is intriging but over my head in theory.This DVD clears it up for me by demonstrating and instructing to the viewer the power of pressure points, meridians, and much of the White Crane system. This is an awesome DVD.
