You get what you pay for!.......2007-05-08
Many of the films are not viewable. But if you want to be transported back to the 1970's it's a quick trip. Now, with the power of the DVD remote you can turn it off when the bad dubbing gets bad and the sudden nudity pops up right after a fight scene.
A nice change.......2007-05-07
These movies arrived in excellent condition. I immediately stored them once I was able to peruse the collection. Will probably do business with again
On a 1 to 10 scale, this collection rates : 4.8.......2007-04-16
Some of the titles in MARTIAL ARTS 50 MOVIE PACK are so obscure, very little information could be gotten about them. A couple of selections here are from a long-forgotten American TV series. There's even a few spaghetti-karate films thrown into the mix. The majority however originate in the Far East: Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan and the Philippines.
Lots of choreography went into the making of these movies; undoubtedly, there were a few unintentional injuries along the way, too. The action and pratfalls are non-stop and the plots mere window dressing for the foot-to-head combat scenes. For all martial arts fans these cinematic slugfests are sure-to-please.
Overall rating was achieved by averaging out viewer polling on 42 of these titles. Based on a film resource website's 1 to 10 scoring system, the current rating for MARTIAL ARTS is: 4.8.
The following alphabetized program list includes individual poll scores, original theatrical names (where indicated), country of origin, years of release and primary performers.

Craptacular!.......2007-02-17
This collection is well worth every penny you'll spend on it, as long you enjoy this film genre. Personally, these movies evoke more laughter for me than most of the comedies being currently released. Some of the movies don't really qualify as martial arts movies - in particular, I'm referring to Black Cobra 1, 2, and 3 - three of the worst movies ever made. These movies, starring former NFL player Fred "The Hammer" Williamson would more appropriately be categorized as action movies, although there isn't a Hell of a lot of action in them. I digress. The point is that there are maybe 3 punches thrown in the entire first movie. It's definitely not a martial arts movie. Most of the movies in this collection, however, are exactly what you would expect. In particular, there are three movies, Ninja Death 1, 2, and 3 that are so awful that they border on greatness. I'm not a film student, so I couldn't tell you what the filming technique is called wherein the "actors" fight in slow-motion, and then the film is sped up to make the fights look like they are taking place at a normal speed. The director of these Ninja Death movies sped the fights up too much, and the result is that every battle looks like an episode of the Benny Hill show. I put these kind of crappy movies on at night to fall asleep to (spaghetti westerns and cheesy horror flicks work well also), but Ninja Death kept me awake and laughing. None of the movies in this collection are big budget - they are all old, and the sound and picture quality is poor, but that adds, not detracts, to the experience of watching them. If you "get" these kinds of films, you absolutely can't go wrong spending the money on this collection.
A collection of really great "bad kung-fu" movies.......2007-01-26
I was ecstatic when i heard about this collection from a friend and snatched it up right away [great price!!]. This set includes some of the worst movies I have ever seen, but I am one of the rare people who actually gets a kick out of watching these types of movies, especially bad kung-fu. My only real gripe is there wasn't enough of the "Shaolin" style films...oh well.
Now not to say that ALL are bad, as there are actually a few really good ones too. So If you are looking for a quick way to build up your kung-fu collection and love "B" movies...this is the one for you!! All I have to say is "The Impossible Kid" was the best of the worst...classic!!!

Krav Maga - Complete 5-DVD Set.......2007-03-30
I purchased this set of DVDs. I never received them and complained a number of times with no success and never received my money back. I will never purchase anything again from Amazon!!!
Great DVD presentation!.......2007-03-09
If you ever wanted to learn how to do EFFECTIVE self-defense in any situation, Krav Maga is the way to go. It's great exercise and trains you through every technique used to get out of a dangerous situation.
In Leicester.......2007-01-16
Krav Maga is a peerless martial art in the modern world. The content in the DVDs is informative and,in my opinion, worth the money. It's realistic and easy to follow.
An interesting look at self defense........2006-03-20
Krav Maga is oriented towards people who cannot, or will not, dedicate the time and effort it takes to become a refined martial artist. This is not an attack on the system itself, but just a fact. Practitioners of Krav Maga seem to take pride in this fact.
The fundamentals are simple and straightforward and if done with commitment and a bit of training they can make the difference between life and death. There is nothing really unique in Krav Maga except that it teaches many simple moves for a variety of situations and emphasizes learning those techniques very effectively.
Would Krav Maga, as it is taught in it's core curriculum, stand up against a someone who has seriously studied martial arts? Absolutely not. But perhaps that wouldn't matter because most street thugs or criminals aren't disciplined enough to learn martial arts in the first place.
Does this mean that you can watch these tapes once and have them magically turn you into a Krav Maga expert? Of course not. However, if you were to say, watch them once a week and practice them move for move, perhaps keeping a log of where you left off, then I would say you would be in a much better position to defend yourself and loved one's in a violent attack.
My only real complaints about his set are the knife defenses. Personally I would never use these techniques and I also think they aren't taught properly. For example, during a knife attack the position of your body is one of the most essential aspects of survival and yet they don't really give any attention to foot work (where your feet go your body will follow).
My other complaint is the first DVD of this set is really just an infomercial for Krav Maga and of absolutely no use whatsoever. It's not even a very good infomercial.
But out of all the self defense systems that I've seen oriented towards those who do not know what to do if they are attacked and have little or no experience with realistic martial arts instruction, then I would say you would be wise to purchase these DVDs and train with them. It's far from a complete education but all it takes is a few techiniques understood well to save your life one day.
Very well done and I would have given 5 stars easily but I think the knife problem is a BIG problem and perhaps should have been dealt with accordingly.

A hit for my husband's birthday.......2007-08-13
My husband is a big Bruce Lee fan. I bought this collection for his birthday and he loves it. It has all his favorite movies. The DVDs are of great quality.
I thought it was good.......2007-08-05
These DVDs aren't top notch quality, but hey - they allow you to see Bruce Lee kicking butt. The sound is OK. Remember, the original Bruce Lee movies weren't all that great as far as picture and sound quality go either. I would recommend.
Bruce Lee Collection.......2007-07-27
This is a good collection. The quality of the picture and sound are acceptable considering these movies were filmed over 30 years ago and the technology was limited. There are a few times of static or hissing during the dialog and music. The voice over dialog does not always match the closed captioning so it was better to turn off the closed captioning when watching these movies. Overall, this is a good choice.
Great Bruce Lee Collection.......2007-07-12
The Best 5 films from bruce lee at a great price. Original filming remasterized, they look sensational. A great purchase
Good Enough.......2007-04-03
This set is good enough. I mean, how can an old production be made to today's standards without altering the original content. Come on. This and Enter the Dragon is all I need to start with for my collection. Bruce is a legend, and to have a set like this is good enough in my opinion.

This two-video set by Billy Blanks includes a 30-minute instructional workout that teaches moves and technique as well as an eight-minute workout in which you go all out. Blanks starts the 30-minute video with flexibility training--important for injury prevention as well as comfort. The key to making a high-intensity kickboxing workout effective and safe is doing it correctly, so Blanks carefully teaches the moves, paying careful attention to safety, form, and technique. Blanks explains clearly what to do, what not to do, and why. Even if you're an advanced kickboxing exerciser, spend some time with the instructional video. The eight-minute workout uses all those moves in an advanced blast of sweat and muscle action, great for days when you just have a few minutes and want to spend them intensely. Blanks is the master tae-bo instructor, and he really knows how to teach, motivate, and make you sweat. --Joan Price

The best!.......2007-08-07
If you are a fan of the old-school Tae Bo and want a heart-pumping, fat-burning, body sculpting 60-minute workouts, the the TaeBo II Get Ripped workouts 1 & 2 are for you! Billy will motivate you until the end! These videos are a must have for any Tae Bo fan!
Great Advanced Workout.......2007-07-21
I'm new to Tae Bo but have worked out hard for years and over the past few months have taken it to a new level with Cathe Friedrich. I wanted to mix it up with some Tae Bo and read some good reviews on this one. It's amazing!!! I got through it no problem but be warned...it is definitely advanced. This one will get you in the glutes really well....if you have the moves down and really work.
Best Hardcore Tae Bo workouts.......2007-07-11
I have used workout videos for years because I am not a big fan of gyms. When I work out, I don't want to worry about what I look like, nor do I want to sweat in a crowded group of people I don't know, and I want to work out when I want to work out, not when a class is scheduled. I have used the "Steel" series (Buns of Steel, Abs of Steel, etc.), all kinds of Denise Austin workouts, Pilates workouts... I could go on and on. Suffice to say, I have used a lot of different work out videos. I also practiced Tae Kwon Do for several years and know from that experience that a martial arts type of workout does great things for your body. My kind of workout video is one that really pushes you. I want to sweat, I want to be out of breath, I want to be challenged, I want to feel it the next day. Basically, I want to know that I didn't waste 30+ minutes of my time. I love these Tae Boe Advanced workouts. They are all intense workouts that are definitely not for beginners. I find Advanced Workout 1 to be more difficult than Workout 2, but both are butt busters! Suprisingly, though, my favorite workout is the 8 minute workout (which, with warm up and cool down really turns out to be more like 16 minutes). I find that I don't always have the time for Advanced 1 & 2 (50+ minutes), but after the 8 minute workout I feel just as good and pooped as I do with the longer workouts. I think the 8 minute one is higher intensity because Billy knows that you're working out in a shorter amount of time. Actually I find the 8 minute workout so challenging that sometimes when I do have the time, I just do it twice.
Great workout for those who are already familiar with TaeBo or martial arts and have stamina, definitely NOT for beginners.
The Best Workout EVER!!!!.......2007-06-23
I do not care what anyone else says, this is the best taebo exercise dvds ever! I saw more changes to my body in a month than with the Bootcamp Series and even the new Get Amped and Elite series. I always go back to the Get Ripped series because it gives me quicker results. My body tones and I lose the excess weight rapidly. I feel more energised after doing this dvd. I'm not saying that his other dvds are no good but this one is the best out of all of them. Its just good old fashioned taebo without the resistance bands and the amplifier that at times restricts movement and can add injury if not used properly. These tapes are definitely not for beginners, you need to be at intermediate advanced level to tackle this baby. If you have just started Taebo-welcome! But I recommend that you watch the instruction tape and then do the basic level first. Have fun!
taebo gives results.......2007-06-19
i bought the bootcamp elite first and got hooked with billy blanks and so i searched for his other top rating work-out.
by the time i had acquired this, it is somewhat outdated because i like the more advanced work out in the bootcamp. i do understand the rave reviews when this was the only thing out in the market.
Bootcamp basic series has floor abs work
bootcamp advanced series just more intense but no abs work

Think twice!.......2007-06-09
I love all genre of martial arts, after seeing Tony in the Protector 1 and 2, saw this, but it is a remake of way earlier career. Thought it was slow, and not up to todays remake standards.
Tony Jaa has a cameo appearance, still not a bad movie.......2007-05-10
Actually Tony Jaa is in this movie... But he is not one of the main actors. He has a cameo appearance. He appears with a group of ppl who are looking for a villiage relic. He has on a black jump suit with zebra like designs in the shoulder area of his jacket. His fight scenes with his mentor are pretty solid. A lot of viewers see this movie as a disaster, but I have decided to give 3 stars for the effort since they did not use any cheesy wires or cgi which makes the film look more authentic to a real fight. The problem with most viewers, is the assumption of fights being beautiful and precise... but that is what happens to ppl's mind when they are use to glam down hollywood action... lol! Despite the deception of saling Tony Jaa as the main character, this is a pretty descent movie considering when it was made and it being a low budget film...
A little Jaa?.......2007-04-11
This movie, though good in the classic Kung Fu movie set, is no Ong Bak. It features the amazing athelete that is Jaa's mentor , but very little Jaa. This wouldnt be a huge deal but the cover art prominently featuring Jaa is mighty misleading. Neither of the shots ever happens in the movie. If you are a Kung Fu fan and a Jaa freak this is for you, otherwise go watch Ong Bak or Tom Yum Goong.
This movie is a scam!.......2007-02-26
Don't be fooled by the cover. I bought this movie because I am a fan of Ong-Bak and The Protector. As soon as the movie started I was dissappointed. The voice-overs were absolutely horrendous and the captions would not even come close to what you actually heard. But still,I thought, it has Tony Jaa in it so the fighting will probably be good.!!Wrong!! In one of the reviews it says that Tony Jaa was at the end. I never even saw him at any point in the entire movie. As a matter of fact, the pictures on the packaging are from Ong-Bak. On the inside casing it has a picture of Jaa's mentor Rittikrai and on the opposite side it has a picture of him again with Jaa's head pasted on. You can tell because they're wearing the same jacket. A jacket that Rittikrai is the only one to wear in the movie.Tony Jaa's name never even appears in the credits.
Unless you like to buy things that are an absolute lie, stay very far away from this product. Hopefully the companies that have been fooled into selling this product become aware of it and seek retribution on the people who fabricated this scam.
Good for a laugh.......2007-01-29
This movie was pretty terrible. I never did see Tony Jaa, and he was the reason I bought it. I noticed later that the picture on the back of the DVD case was taken straight from The DVD case of "Ong Bak". The camera quality was terrible, as was the editing and overall acting. There were times when the camera shot would turn a shade of blue, then red, then regular. I can say, however, that my friends and I shared a good laugh over how terrible this movie is.

Katsu Shintaro stars as Zatoichi, the Blind Swordsman, in seven of his finest adventures all presented in full color anamorphic widescreen! This box set contains seven full Zatoichi features on seven discs!
Customer Reviews:
A Great Deal--Highly Recommended.......2007-02-27
As others have noted, the Zatoichi movie series is a classic--outstanding and immensely enjoyable. This collection is a good value. The DVD reproduction seems to be first-rate (each movie looks better than I remember seeing it decades ago), and the subtitles are very well done: Not only are the translations good, but they appear below the wide-screen picture rather than on top of the scene. Occasionally there's even a little note displayed above the picture defining a term, such as "palanquin" ('kago' in Japanese).
I have one small complaint. Each of the 7 movies is individually shrinkwrapped with 3 of those incredibly annoying antitheft stickers. I paid good money for the collection, so why am I treated like a potential thief and made to waste time every time I open one? That's just plain rude. I could have used Zatoichi's help getting the DVDs open for the first time, and had he decided to pay a call on the packagers, I wouldn't have tried to stop him.
Warning: This collection is a hook. Once you see all 7 movies, you'll want to see the other 19, and individually they'll set you back a good deal more. Oh, well!
Zatoichi box set.......2007-02-09
I'm hooked on Zatoichi now! I'm going to have to look for the rest of the collection, these movies were that much fun :)
A Zatoichi starter set.......2006-09-20
Zatoichi is an institution in Japanese film, almost like James Bond or Star Trek films, but with the difference that the same actor has played the main character since the series inception, and with an amazing consistency of quality from the original film in 1962 through the final installment, #26, in 1989. Shintaro Katsu played many roles in his life, but in the minds of hearts of everyone who loves samurai films he will always be Zatoichi.
This boxset contains seven DVDs, all from the tail end of the Zatoichi series when Katsu had taken over the production duties on the series. They are all quality films, with "The Festival of Fire" and "Zatoichi meets Yojimbo" being among the best of the entire run. Its a great price for seven DVDs as well, which would cost much more if bought individually.
For those starting out with Zatoichi, the films are diverse enough to give a good feel for the flavor of the series. Funny films and serious films, they all have the charm and appeal that only Shintaro Katsu could bring to the table in a samurai action film. And this is some seriously cool samurai action. Katsu was a great actor, and a great swordsman as well.
The films in this collection are:
Zatoichi #16 - the Outlaw - A complicated story with a vast cast of characters. Directed by Satsuo Yamamoto, who also made the 1968 ghost story "Botan Doro."
Zatoichi #20 - Meets Yojimbo - A highly anticipated showdown between Zatoichi and Toshiro Mifune playing his famous Yojimbo character. Directed by acclaimed samurai film master Kihachi Okamoto, best known for "Sworld of Doom" and "Kill!"
Zatoichi #21 - The Festival of Fire - Considered one of the best entries in the series, directed by the original Zatoichi director Kenji Misumi.
Zatoichi #22 - Meets the One-Armed Swordsman - Zatoichi meets his Chinese counterpart, Wang. Directed by Kimiyoshi Yasuda, who also made the original "100 Monsters: Great Yokai War"
Zatoichi #23 - At Large - A more humorous flick, Zatoichi delivers a baby! Directed by Kazuo Mori, who also made "The Return of Daimajin."
Zatoichi #24 - In Desperation - Directed by Shintarô Katsu, Zatoichi himself, this is a darker, more disturbing entry.
Zatoichi #25 - Conspiracy - Zatoichi meets his long-lost sister. A guest appearance by Takashi Shimura of "Seven Samurai." Also directed by Kimiyoshi Yasuda.
Shintaro Katsu: 1000 Oscars would not suffice........2006-08-18
This guy's acting is beyond this world. The stories and landscapes are incredible. Maybe the film-making technique is a little rusty some times, but in the whole it is effective.
If you must have all of the Zatoichi films.......2005-09-21
A well priced collection of the less wonderful story lines. Zatoichi is always the great blind swordsman but there is less atmosphere and character development in the films included in this collection.

MMA.......2007-07-19
This dvd set is really worth the money!
I have watched all of the Pride Legacy series so far and i think this is the best.
There are some great fights, one of Rampage Jacksons slams has amazing results.....watch out for it.
Go ahead and get it I don't think you'll be displeased with it at all.
Continuing the Evolution.......2007-06-27
If you have seen the earlier Pride Legacy dvds then you will see this as a continuing step towards the great pride events of today. Many of the early Pride events had great matches but are not even close to being great events. Today, the MMA fan wants excitement and a variety of styles and personalities. This volume of Legacy has all of those and not just for one match per event but for almost the whole events. Some of the discs are better than others but everything is good. If you do not have any Legacy sets than this is where you should start collecting old events. Then move backwards till it gets too boring for you to stand and dismiss any event past that threshold. But I highly recommend this one.

The KUNG FU 20 MOVIE PACK offers just a sampling of the hundreds of martial arts movies that have been created around the globe for the past few decades. The performers are skilled, the action intense, and the dialogue somewhat superfluous. This set offers high kicking excitement at an incredibly low price!
Users of a cinematic database graded these titles at an average (on a 1 to 10 scale) of 4.7.

corny in nice way.......2006-11-10
well, it's the 1970s so movie technology went only so far. it's corny in a lot of ways, but some of the stories are fun. it's a kick and it's not a lot to pay considering that you get 20 movies.
Aprile.......2006-06-26
This is an excellent box gift to buy. There are so many movies to watch. You will enjoy watching them over and over again. For all of you Martial Arts fans this is one to own!!!
So I already reviewed this, but now have to do it again since I edited it, AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.......2006-03-02
I had to edtit this because I wanted to change my review on ninja death after seeing parts 1 and 2. So here I go again, I still have not watched ALL of these, but then again, I never will watch some of them, so I will give it my my best.
Return of the Kungfu Dragon-2/5 stars at best, almost worth watching, I made it all the way through this one cause there were a lot of fights, but NOTHING sttod out to me.
Nija Empire-not going to watch this but if you are a mike egan fan, then you should certainly check this out.
NINJA DEATH 1- easily one of the most ambitious projects ever concieved by a kungfu director. The back of this box actually does a decent job of describinbg this, meaning they didn't lie and say that ti lung and david chiang. So this is easily the best of the 3- part series but you do need to get all 3. The other ones do a nice job of recapping, and if they woulod have said "Last time on Ninja Death", then that would have given a 5/5 for every movie. This movie starts out with a mullet wearing alexander lo rei who is as ripped as ever in thisd. he plays a brothel bouncer, so you get plenty of overly long funny sex scenes in this. But that is not why we are watching this. Ninja'a are coming out again and Alezander Lo Rei has to train with his master to learn a really good fighting style. I could bog you down with the story, but it's better just to try and figure it out for yourself cause it is pretty cool. So Lu Feng is the leader of the ninjas and he is trying to finish what he started like 20 years ago. And don't be fooled by this guy's 4 cent tin foil gold suit thingy because like I said, this guy is Lu Feng. And Feng's scenes are the only one they don't speed up(in part 1 at least), so maybe it is a tribute to him being the centipede. There is also this guy who wears a metal mask and is basically unstoppable. He is definitely my favorite character. Sop like I said you need to get all the parts of this, you can get the 50-pack that has all 20 of these movies and it also has parts 2 and 3. Or you can do what I did and buy the parts 2 and 3 for 99 cents off a ebay, not too bad of a buy.
Deadly Duo- bolo , chiang and ti fo not star in this and the real name is 2 GREAT CAVALIERS. It has beardy, lo lieh, angela mao, john liu, and the second appearence I have ever seen in a movie from the baddie from Jet li's last hero in china. I know what you are saying, "this has to be great", well it actually really sucks and ohter than the final fight is right on par with return of the kungfu dragon. The problem with this movie is that they don't even attempt to make the punches and kicks look like they are actually connecting. So not even worth a watch, but check it out for yourself and if you think it's good than post your opinion, I wold be glad to read it.
Ninja the protector- this movie said it had phillip ko in it in the CREDITS it said that. Mother @*$%^ piece of @#($, why do I keep watching these godfrey ho movies, I keep thinking that I am going to see the one good godfey ho film, but it will never happen. So this movie is a signateure splice that is better I guess than most of his ninja films.
HAnds of death-about as good as rage of the master=(wang yu"s saddest effort ever)
Weapons of death-I'm not going to watch it but if some of you're favorite kungfu stars are Eric Lee, Bob Ramos, Ralph Castellanos, then this is your bag baby!
Ninja Champion-HA ha ha ha ha ha
Four robbers- really bad chinese shoot-em-up, credits say that it has Ku Feng in it.
Shaolin Temple- sorry, no fu sheng, or maybe it does have him, but this is easily one of he worst shaolin movies ever, right up there with shaolin posse.
Image of bruce lee- Actually not that bad, I think it has Bruce Li in it. A ton of the most pointless fights ever(until the end at least). BUT THIS MOVIE HAS BOLO IN IT AND I DIDN'T SEE HIM FIGHT, SWEAR WORDS ARE RACING THROUGH MIND RIGHT NOW. I was pretty drunk when I saw this and I might have missed it, btu it would have had to be like a 30 second fight. So pai ying shows up in the final fight and it is pretty good. Easily one of the best bruce lee clone movies, a top tenner.
The snake, the tiger, the crane- I didn't see carter wong in this but it does have lo lieh as a wandering swordsman. Overall this is right along the lines of 2 great cavaliers(deadly duo) in crappiness.
Shaolin deadly kicks- I was actually expecting a lot out of this movie, maybe that's why I hated it. But if you are a dorian tan fan, you will probably like this, I just never liked that guy, he was too slow or something, I just can't put my finger on it.
Chase step by step- a real gem. I would rate this 3rd behind ninja death and shadow ninja as best movies in this "collection" and image of bruce would be a very distant 4th.
So this movie is about 2 circus kids who have to deliver gold a town who is poor and they have all sorts of troubles along the way. It has a really bad picture, but then again I have sat through and enjoyed muvh worse than this. The movie itself I would give around a 3.5/5, but still VERY good. This movie I have to say is pretty unique to what we kungfu buffs are used to, so really worth it if you can get this collection for 7.99 brand new at best buy like I did. And I would pay up to 30 dollars for this(if I already had Ninja death parts 2 and 3, which is actually pretty unlikely.
Bruce Lee:the invincible-I watched this and then image of bruce back to back. And this is the reason I got so drunk, this was so bad, I kept trying to make it better, but it only got worse the more drunk I got. So the movie stars the star of chines hercules and everyone really sucks at kung fu in this. REALLY SUCKS.
The big fight-I mix this up with hands of death, but I didn't finish either of them, because they both sucked.
The street fighter- you all know this sonny chiba movie, I don't like it, but it's watchable anf the picture is watchable too.
Death Machines- Ron Marchini, Michael Chong, Joshua Johnson, the greatest kungfu trio ever. They even rivaled the venoms back in the day. The reason Godfrey Ho is so popular. Easily one of the best movies ever. Also stars Jerry Karney, Tony "the disater" Baster. A true kung fu epic, ho's best work. 5/5 stars.
Infernal Street- only one I haven;t popped in the dvd player out of these.
Shadow Ninja-THE REASON YOU BUY COLLECTIONS LIKE THESE.
This is a true gem, I'll give you a spoiler alert right away because I tend to get carried away when I am talking about my favorite kung fu movies ever. The movie stars Roy Chiou(I think), a scrawny but tough little kid, and SHEN YI-KWAN. I know I butchered his name, but now 99.9% sure that this is the Jet Li's opponent in Tsui Hark's masterpiece, Once upon a time in china. Now if you have been looking for EYE-POPPING Martial Arts action, thenthis will definitely tickle that kungfu spot inside you that constantly needs more and more love the more and better stuff that you see.
So the story starts out with a young scrawny kid who wants to be a police officer. Now this kid has that classic peking opera style that I love and he looks absolutely FLAWLESS in his moves. So he becomes a cop and the partener of Roy Chiou(I think) and Roy doesn't like him at first, but then he gets his ass saved by him and they become good friends. Now I don't want to give away any more of this movie, except a little, but YOU NEED TO SEE THIS MOVIE, AND TO SEE THIS YOU MUST GO BY ANY MEAANS NECESSARY. There is a guy called the white killer in this movie, and I think Michael Mann stole some music from the white kilelr theme for the shootout in heat. Anyway they have this one very stylish shot where the white kilelr kills someone and laeves red blood covering the camera lense, they also do a VERY nice shot of showing an all white body get soaked in red, and a VERY VERY nice revealing scene of the white killer.
>
The final fight scene for this includes 4 people, 3 of which can fight. And when I say that they can fight, I mean they go at it HARD. These 3 can match up with ANYBODY in terms of on-screen fighting. The end battle is so spectacular that I wish that a word like breathless could describe this properly, but it doesn't. So I will just tell you that I have well over 200 kung fu movies and this rights right near the top of my all-time favorite. i literally watched this like 25 times in like 10 days.
I will never tire of this movie.
So Hell yah you should buy this collection, SHADOW NINJA IS TAKEN FROM A PRETTY GOOD PRINT, and personally , I would pay up to 20 bucks for this movie alone, even if it was a crappy print unlike the one this collection gives you. An ALL TIME CLASSIC.
And if anyone can find out the real name of this, I WILL BE VERY INTERESTED IN HEARING IT. When I looked this up on IMDB, it I clicked on the stars of it and all the same actores are in a movie called the KILLER WEARS WHITE, so if anybody has seen this sequel or prequel, PLEASE POST IT HERE AND LET ME KNOW.
Customer Reviews:
Bushidooooooooooo!.......2007-07-03
Unbelievable DVD. Of every Pride FC Bushido event, this one is easily the best yet. At first, the fact that there are no heavy-weights or even light-heavyweights on the card may deter some, but the fighting and quality of fighters on this card is top-notch. Dan Henderson has great matches, in fact, the entire welterweights tournament is great, but the light-weights are even better. Hyato "Mach" Sakurai and Takanori Gomi's matches are simply spectacular. This is definately a must-have, or must-see, for any true MMA fan.
Off the charts.......2007-06-22
This product features a few of the greatest MMA fights of all time. And it is all on the same DVD. This is honestly the second best if not the best MMA event I have ever seen. Even the fights that go to a decision are exciting as hell. If you are an MMA fan. This is an absolute must have. Beats any UFC out there and I am a big UFC fan. The only comparable MMA event is Pride 33 which hasn't yet come out.
14 fights, none of the even close to bad........2007-06-06
It features Gomi v Kawajiri, which was named Pride's fight of the year for 2005; Gomi v Alzeredo in a rematch of their earlier war; Minowa v Baroni in a classic rematch (layin' and prayin' [yeah, right] with an armlock most of the first round); Pulver v Mach Sakurai in another jeez this is great match; Joachim Hansen v Yves Edwards, ditto; Mach v Hellboy Hansen - wow; Henderson v Chonan where Dan shows his power; Bustamante twice shows us why he's a ju-jitsu legend; Damn, even the reserve matches are great! It is the best overall MMA card I've ever seen. My understanding is that the promoter for Deep was the matchmaker for Bushido, and as such, perhaps Deep can rise to take the place of Pride, 'cause I can't imagine the UFC boys can put on a show like this. BTW: Renallo and Baz are the announcers.
Instant Bushido Classic.......2007-06-05
Bushido:The Tournament, in my opinion, is the best tournament in the history of mixed martial arts. Never before has there ever been a tournament with an all star line up and ever single fight is just as exciting as the next {with the possible exception of Baroni vs Minowa 2}. Every other fight on the card is incredible as it features some of the best welterweights like Dan Henderson, Murilo Bustamante, Akihiro Gono, Ikuhisa "The Punk" Minowa and Phil Baroni. Not to mention the exciting lightweight tournament with lightweights like Takanori Gomi, Yves Edwards, Joachim Hansen, Luis Azeredo and the reborn Hayato "Mach" Sakurai.
If you are a true Pride or mixed martial arts fan, you will enjoy this memorable event. Highly Recommended.
Best Bushido To Come!.......2007-06-01
This is one of the best busido's ive ever bought, and it was deffinetly worth the money , every fight was fast paced, everyfight had a good ending, there was no BORING fights, and its a tournament which makes it that much better! This is a must buy if u are a pride fan and u like the smaller fighters Yves Edwards puts on a great showing, so does Jenz Pulver and Phil Baroni, now with Chuck lidell losing his title to Quinton Jackson in UFC and he has to Fight the New Pride Middleweight and Welterweight Champ thats right he beat Wanderlia Silvia, Dan henderson! So the fight world is now gonna be insane, pride fighters will be fighting ufc fighters and there will be some of the best dream matches we have waited for! Anyway this bushido is the bomb deffiently buy it if u a MMA fan of fast paced fights not slow bs!
