Dean Martin stars as the original swinger agent, Matt Helm, in this four-disc set including: THE SILENCERS, MURDERERS ROW, THE WRECKING CREW, and THE AMBUSHERS.

THE SILENCERS: The first of the series of Matt Helm films, the big cheese of Big O, an organization that wants to sabotage the American atomic missile system. It's up to secret agent Helm to save the day.

MURDERER'S ROW: The handsome top agent Matt dies a tragic death in his bathtub - the women mourn about the loss. However it's just faked for his latest top-secret mission: He shall find Dr. Solaris, inventor of the Helium laser beam, powerful enough to destroy a whole continent. It seems Dr. Solaris has been kidnapped by a criminal organization. The trace leads to the Cote D'Azur.

THE AMBUSHERS: A government space saucer is hijacked mid-flight by a powerful laser beam under the control of Jose Ortega, who then proceeds to rape the female pilot, Sheila Sommars. ICE sends agent Matt Helm to Acapulco with Sheila to recover the saucer, under the guise of Matt taking fashion photographs of beautiful models. Matt is temporarily sidetracked, falling prey to the seductive charms of enemy agent Franceca Madeiros.

THE WRECKING CREW: The count has stolen enough gold to cause a financial crisis in the world markets so I.C.E. sends in ace spy Matt Helm to stop him. As Matt works alone, the British send in Freya to aid Matt, but it seems that Freya causes more problems than she solves.

The real Austin Powers of the 60's.......2007-08-16

Good 60's movies that played on TV reruns afterwards. Dean Martin is a smooth character and funny. He is a secret agent that fights crime with booze, cigarettes, and girls. Though the girls are real bimbos, you just got to laugh at it all. You get to see the style and fashions of that era. Unlike intense action movies of today, it is easy and fun to watch.

A Fascinating Look at Sex, Spies, and the 1960s.......2007-04-17

This is a great collection of movies for both Matt Helm and Dean Martin fans. Most viewers will find Dean Martins' slightly comedic approach to the Matt Helm character very entertaining. In addition to some pretty funny moments, the movies are also full of clever songs, such as "When Your Sweetheart Puts A Pistol in her Pillow."

These movies provide a fascinating look at American culture of the 1960s. They contain old cars, scantily clad women, and a surplus of sexual innuendo. The behavior exhibited by Dean Martin is also rather interesting. In a scene from "The Silencers", he rips the dress off of Stella Stevens as an incentive for her to start talking. Today, such behavior would be called "assault." In another movie, Dean is drinking from a flask while driving his car and receiving instructions from Headquarters. Obviously, drinking and driving was not an issue in the 1960s. These films contain some of the big name actresses of the day, such as Stella Stevens, Ann Margaret, and Sharon Tate. Sharon Tate, unfortunately, is better known for being murdered by Charles Manson and his family.

The quality of the movies is excellent and there were no problems with the DVDs. All four DVDs fit into two slim containers. The entire collection fits into one box the size of a normal DVD case. Unfortunately, the set has the appearance of a rental from the local video store, vice something that was intended for sale. "The Silencers" contain several movie trailers for unrelated films such as "Fun with Dick and Jane." There is no trailer for "The Silencers." The other movies do contain Matt Helm movie trailers, but not on the disk of that movie. The set also contains multiple trailers for "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle" and an upcoming release of the Seinfeld DVDs. Finally, one DVD came with a small anti theft tag used to prevent shoplifting.

Despite these minor anomalies, this is a very entertaining set of movies. Dean Martin is as enjoyable now as he was in the 1960s. The viewer can certainly see how these films were a likely source of inspiration for the Austin Powers movies.

Bond, Steel, Flint, Man From Uncle, don't got nothing on Matt Helm. Awesome retro movies! Must have if you like this type of movies.

It was very enjoyable seeing these now forty year old classics. Dean Martin was his usual easy going self as Matt Helm, while James Gregory was excellent as McDonald his boss. Well worth it!

snoop dog is the best actor in this movie, he gets shot before the film begins. and he makes it to the cover of the movie!?
the rest of the movie is so bad and unprofessional that you ask yourself many times, is this possible?
how can a guy like ice-t live with an impression of that this is a movie to release all over the world

but this moive is a classic now, i love to think of it.
it is halerious. i give it 5 stars, just because it is great to think of.

Urban Menace, The Corrupt & this one: The Wrecking crew are all three similar films...
This is becouse almost the same crew of actors appears in everyone of them & also Al Pyun is the director of all.

First of all SNOOP DOGG is not in the movie, they have taken interview footage of him speaking about his music and then pretended that this is suppose to be the character Dra-man a gangster & rapper.
They took old footage from the movie "Urban Menace" and pretended that Ice-t killed him off in the beginning of the movie.

Even though this movie is longer than "Urban Menace" , Wrecking Crew's 78 minutes has about 13 minutes of start-credits and 13 minutes of end-credtis, while Urban Menace is 72 minutes with only the half runningtime of the credits. (which means that Urban Menace is longer, and also a whole lot better storywise).

I was interrested in the dvd-version becouse u get the "soundtrack" so I expected at least one Ice-T song, but NO only "spooky music" seems to be the feature.

The movie itself is really bad, It's like URBAN MENACE but 10 times worse

I spent 8 quid on this film only to watch the first 10 minmainly because i've never seen a film so amature in the way its scenes are shot, the texture, the acting and just about eveything about the bad film, the story is??? i don't know! all you can hear is rap music in the background which covers the audio to maike this film..... This movie is so bad i can't express myself enough. I like Snoop and that is the ONLY good thing about this film, i wouldn't even go as far as to call it a film.Even if your a snoop fan you WILL hate this movie,anyone who says it is good is just in denial because they wasted money buying it.Usually i couldn't be bothered writing a review on a film but since this film was so bad I just had to add my 2 cents. (...) After the first 2 minutes it was so bad i nearly turned it off there and then.Bad actors,bad plot,bad quality.I seriously DO NOT recommend!

Worst movie ever?.......2000-11-01

This is probably the worst movie I've ever seen. The plot is barely noticable, the actors do even worse. Snoop, who is heavily announced on the cover is only a part of the intro, then he is not to be seen throughout the rest of the movie. To be brief: Do not buy this DVD, it's a waste of money!

The Golden Anniversary of Cotton Bowl Classic tradition culminated with a game featuring Bo Jackson, the 50th player to win the Heisman Trophy. It was a picture perfect sunny New Year's Day in Dallas when 9 - 2 Texas A & M faced off against 8 - 3 Auburn. During the first half of the game the lead changed hands four times. Despite the media's pre-game attention to Bo Jackson it was Aggie quarterback Kevin Murray who stole the show passing for a record 292 yards. However, it may have been the Aggie defense, which had the biggest play of the game. A & M was clinging on to a 21 - 15 lead when Auburn mounted an 88 yard drive, giving them a first-and-goal to take the lead. Three consecutive runs by Bo Jackson only gained four yards, leaving the Tigers with a fourth down on the two-yard line. Again, Jackson got the call and was met in the middle by Aggie freshman linebacker Basil Jackson. Auburn lost a yard and most of their momentum on that play. Another goal line stand, and several long plays and an interception sealed the game for Texas A & M.
