I can not say enough about this DVD! Diana Haynes shows you hands on techniques that are practical, technical (but not overwhelming), and beneficial to add to your massage repertoire or tool belt. Anatomical illustrations are used as she speaks in a conversational manner. She will show you basic routines.
There may be other DVD series on chair massage techniques; however, I would recommend this DVD wholeheartedly! I have two DVD's that stand out among the others in my collection. They are both produced by Real Bodywork. (The other is Deep Tissue and Neuromuscular Therapy with Sean Riehi.) As in many things you certainly get what you pay for. There may be other DVD's that are less expensive, but this is the best I have found. I would have paid twice as much for the information that was contained on this DVD. Thank you Real Bodywork! I will be a repeat customer!

This video dy-mysitfies Lympahtic Drainage therapy- and makes it easy to understand. Like all the Real Bodywork videos, it is filmed very well, with great computer graphics. If you want to help clients with edema, this is the video to get. I did the techniques on a client with swelling in her wrist, and it went down after only one session! As a beginner, I thought by ordering this DVD I would have a jump start on CST or a better understanding of this modality. I've watched the DVD several times and have learned more and more each time however, when I tried to practice using the same techniques I felt I was not getting the results that was shown on the DVD I even had tremendous trouble manipulating and feeling the pulse. This instructional DVD's makes an excellent addition to a Cranial-Sacral Therapist who is instructing a class.
CST "PRIMER".......2007-03-16
This DVD is very well done. Mary Sullivan has presented the historical background and some of the treatment techniques of cranio sacral therapy in an informative and understandable manner. The different cranio sacral release techniques are explained in a manner that both novices and CST practitioners will derive benefit from. The material is suitable for those just getting started w/CST practice, but an advanced therapist will also learn new techniques/approaches as well. Recently let an interested patient borrow it after their request to understand CST further. She LOVED it. Stated it really helped her gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the skills involved. Just had a manual therapy colleague preview it and they found it very informative without being overly technical. I'm a CST with an Upledger Institute background and found the DVD well done also. Mary's enthusiasm for the topic is obvious and the graphics, anatomical images and camera work all bring the materials to life. I would buy it again in a second.

This DVD is awesome. I think it's appropriate for anyone interested in Thai Massage. It teaches you a full length Northern-style session that takes over an hour and can be done on the mat or the table.
I was able to understand everything even though I was only minimally exposed to Thai massage before. It's beautifully produced and includes authentic footage the author shot in Thailand along with sections on Thai herbs, HandsFree Thai that really completes the teaching experience.
I wished those sections could've been a bit longer but since the DVD is already over 90 minutes, I'm happy he focused on presenting the Thai massage techniques so fully. This is a great tool for massage therapists who want to incorporate authentic Thai massage into their practice.

If you want to learn myofascial release- I highly recommend this DVD. It covers alot of ground, and I found that I was able to apply the technques immediately into my practice. The filming is clear and there are alot of great graphics that help to make the information easy to understand. Some programs that I have watched have hours of explanation and just a little technque- this is not that way, Mr. Riehl explains the rationale concisely, and then shows the technques- so it never gets boring. This DVD along with Advanced Myofascial Release make a great set.
