Product Description
"The Legend of Bruce Lee" Bruce Lee stars in this action packed film about the tragically short life of his legendary look-alike and namesake, Bruce Lee. "Shaolin The Blood Mission" Chinese Kung-Fu originates from the Shaolin Temple. The temple in Hoan Pracence has been renowned for centuries for their martial arts monks who are skilled with weapons and bare fists.
Customer Reviews:
Hwang Jang Lee, better image when he's the silver fox..........2007-05-17
Very, very disappointing flick here...! The director must've been stuck on stupid...; he had no concept or idea as to what he was doing. Hwang Jang Lee, is great to watch only when he's the Silver Fox --- superb martial arts techniques he possesses, but very undemonstrative here in this flick. The film does him an injustice on his image. Then again, I kinda wanna believe this was one of his earlier days starting out in the movie business, 'cause he seems very unsophisticated and unpolished as he's not in his later movies such as Invincible Armour, and the Silver Fox triologies. Too bad though...; it's just not worth it.
Hwang Jang lee shines brightly in a very good shaolin movie.......2006-07-15
So here is the basic story. Hwang Jagn Lee(silver fox) vs. Shaolin. I mean what more could you ask for? And Hwang just looks super cool. A very unique look for him and it kind of makes sense with all the weird and cruel stuff going on. Have you ever seen a movie where high ranking officials play chess with women and have them kill eachother? Yeah, when you see this, you will know where wutang got all their names for their group members. There is just a presence that you have to give and guys like silver fox and ghostface killer certainly have it.
Now for a VERY low budget movie, I would rank this as one of my favorite kung fu flicks ever. Hwang I would guess did the choreography as he pulls off some of the sweetest leg maneuvers you will ever see. he has one where he goes up to disarm a guy of a spear with one kick and then lands a super kick with his other leg. Add in a Ton of other great fights, and hwang's patented triple kick, and I promise you will instantly become a kung fu fan after watching this.
Now the only reason I gave this movie a 4 is because of the end. Watch the very end, and you will see.
I suggest you get the videoasia version as the picture quality is decent and it has an even better movie "Saholin Temple Strikes Back) on it to make it the perfect Shaolin double feature.
Joseph Kuo hidden classic!!!!!!.......2005-08-30
If you liked "7 Grandmasters, and The Mystery Of Chessboxing", you must buy this film. Hwang Jung Lee is an evil guy doing his dirty work, watch and see what he does as an evil guy in this film against the shaolin temple. Not bad Joseph, not bad at all.

---1 star for imbedded subs on S strikes back, and 4/5 for blood mission........2006-03-01
Saholin Strikes back----this actually deserves a 5/5, but for the imbedded subs. The subtitles can be read sometimes, but the great thing is that they have subs FOR THE SONGS. I don't think that I have ever seen that before, and that's pretty cool since this seems to have a rare original soundtrack. Now the movie itself was pretty damn good. EVERYBODY can fight. Shen Chan has this one backwards superman kick that he seemed to elevate on each of his four kicks. It was truly one of the most unreal kicks that I have ever seen. I can't comment on the story too much which sucks cause it seemed pretty good. But I give this movie 5/5 alone for the kung-fu. I honestly don't think that I have ever seen this much drunken style in a movie before.
Shaolin:the blood mission-----Hwang Jang Lee. Do you want me to go on. Fine then, but I'm not telling you much, and before I do, I have to ask. Do you need me to tell you about the dvd when you have Shen Chan in one movie, then you have Jang lee in the next? The answer is no, so you are just gonna have to trust me that Hwang Jang Lee vs. Shaolin is a guaranteed classic. You have around 4-5 GOOD fighters in this movie. Don't expect this to knock the pants off of secret rivals or hell'z windstaff, but, but wait a minute, I take it back, it does come very close to being as good as hell'z windstaff.
Look for this seriously, I bought this at bestbuy as 10 movies for 14.99(but really only 8 movies) I would have paid 25 dollars alone for this double movie disc, and then there were another 2 good movies in this box called THE MARTIAL TEMPLE COLLECTION. So all in all I thought that I got one over on Bestbuy.
